Nice trip Man! I just came back from the Bay this weekend, did really good myself about 6.7 miles out from Linwood, I fished all night Saturday into Sunday morning and end up with 9 Eyes total, 7 keepers that were 16 to 23 inches (2 little guys went back) and I got a bonus 32 inch Laker that barely came out of the hole at 11pm Saturday night. All of these fish were pounding my #5 ALL glow jigging Rapala and would shy away from anything else so I stuck to that bait and did really well. Almost a limit. My first trip ever to Saginaw Bay so needless to say, I'm hooked! 🧊 🎣

Dude that’s awesome! Congrats man!! I’m currently reading this while I wait to load up and head out on the bay this morning! I grew up fishing the Bay but moved to Lake Orion a few years ago so I don’t get out here as much as I’d like too!! I would love to hook into a big laker. I did it one time late ice season when the walleye were shallow and it was awesome! Congrats again and thanks for watching!

@@TheOutdoorConquest oh wow you're in Lake Orion?? I'm actually pretty close to you I'm in Oakland County over in the Novi area and I fish St Clair alot since it's closer but after this weekend on the Bay I see myself making the drive alot more often now.
I slammed all those Walleye and the Laker out deep almost 7 Miles out in almost 32 feet of water and every single one of em on a #5 jigging Rap that didn't have anything on it but the eyes and all white glow paint that I made sure to charge up every 15 mins or so. That Laker hit a very similar lure but it was a smaller 1/8 ounce Clam Tikka Minnow with the glow paint body and a few "Wonderbread" dots on it. Even the couple of Eyes I got during daylight hours hit that Rapala (only one I had with me) and i had tried alot of other stuff before I started getting em to hit that glow rap so if you are seeing fish on the sonar that chase the lure alittle bit but then back off and seem uninterested, try something like that glow rap and an aggressive raise-jig-pause-twitch cadence and hopefully you'll get em to turn on like I did. Best of luck out there my friend, let us know how it goes and stay safe out there. Tight lines all the time!!! 🧊 🎣 👍

Hey buddy I just ran across your video because I have only been Ice fishing for the past 4 or 5 years now and I’ve been trying to get on my first walleye ever threw the ice and I thought maybe you might have some good bait choices or tips for me?? I did end up catching 4 or five of them this year but they all have been little ones and not good eater size ones!! That is definitely what I’m after!! Oh and some perch also I have never caught one of those at all!! I definitely love going ice fishing for sure!! I’ve probably been out at least a dozen times this year or maybe more!!! Hopefully plenty more times also this season!! Well awesome video buddy and remember keep up all the hard work buddy!!!!

Thank you so much for watching and the comment! I appreciate you! So if your targeting walleye I really find great success with 2 styles of lures….either a flutter type spoon (do-jigger, buckshot spoon, little Cleo) and also jigging rapalas. Always tip the hook with a minnow head for that added scent and attraction. Perch is really the same style of baits just down size them the baits I mentioned come in various sizes. It all really depends on the body of water and the mood of the fish. Wherever you are fishing the best place to start would be a local bait shop. I hope this helps! Thanks again!👊🏼

There is definitely a dangerous risk involved with that happening. It’s important to pay attention to the cracks going out AND the wind. If it’s windy it’s not worth going out to get trapped. The ice is always shifting and cracks always forming it’s just part of it. Thanks for watching!
