So cool to see all the fish so active during the daylight hours. Our clear water WI walleyes don’t normally start biting till sunset and after dark. Would love to get them to go during the day but they’re super lazy during the day! Good luck fishing’ 🎣
Some of our waterways are super tough during the day as well even in the stained water lakes. That morning and evening bite is always optimal and can be very tough throughout the day. But these few days on clear we didn’t have the ice to get deeper and it worked perfectly because there were so many fish in the shallows
@ I am a night owl so I live for chasing fish after dark. I get a lot of Walleye, Pike, Musky, Bass, Catfish, Salmon, and even Panfish and White Bass after dark. It’s just harder filming quality UA-cam content once it’s dark out. Once you lose the light, scenery, it’s a challenge. But the fish certainly bite well!
With such clear water those steel leaders are prib costing you alot of bites id guess. Didnt even know people use them anymore. Everyone i know uses 30lb floro.
Almost seems like the underwater camera can alter your thinking as far as reaction time and quick lure change, but really cool shots and some nice fish!
I fish 5-6 days a week. I love fish but there is no need to keep every time I go fishing. I do it more for the sport and the love of it than for the meal.
What’s the parking like for access to lake clear? Would love to make the 2 hour trip to get out there sometime. By the way, great footage and some beauty eyes!
Look up lake clear public beach right beside sandy beach cottages. The cottages are amazing spot to stay right in front of the fishing grounds and Lyle the owner is a gem. If not at the public beach you can park and walk straight out from there.
@CastandConquer yeah I always have a Jig pole ready, with exactly that a smaller walleye menow on it, 95% of the time they always turn and hit it, especially if you drop the jig below just below their nose, their eyesight.. so as they follow it down like you do when you go to spear fishing pike in a ice box, I live in Northern Michigan, was a guide good 30 years I also make some pretty mighty fine ice fishing decoys..
Yessssss
You helped teach me a thing or five
Waiting patiently for more 2025 ice content Jay :) no rush, i know you have lots on your plate
This is definitely among the sharpest underwater footage I've seen on UA-cam. Awesome work.
It's hard to beat an Aqua Vu for clarity.
One of the best ice fishing videos I have watched.
Thanks so much
Literally my favorite types of videos.
Appreciate it. I love them too. Many more to come
As another creator of fishing content I understand the complexity of this video. Absolutely amazing underwater shots!! Well done sir! Well done!
Now for me to come make a video like this on simcoe
Amazing video brother, those underwater shots were awesome
Thanks so much. More of them to come this season.
Jay wasn’t releasing enough Ice fishing content, glad i found this to help me stay patient!
I can fulfill those needs as jay edits more epic adventures
That Lake trout tail grab. Never seen that before! Love the content. Underwater footage is unreal. Well done 👏
Sometimes you got to take what’s given to ya in the moment. Lucky grab😉
That grab on the laker was awesome dude!
I wasn’t sure if there would be another chance she was barely hooked. So I took the shot that was given.
Awesome footage! That’s fun to watch ! Keep rollin man!
Thanks man it was a great day
Such a sick video dude. The underwater footage is so sweet.
It’s gonna be tough to find a better lake than this to do underwater footage in
Love the video, I like those underwater takes Buck
Thanks! Those underwater shots really help you visualize what's going on down there.
Those under water chases were awesome!
I’ve always loved using the underwater camera. It helps make the fishing experience that much better
one thing is sure, its a good spot,,,, very cool view,,,,fish on,,,,🎣🤘🤘🤘
It really makes it fun to see what’s going on down there.

Fish finder on the bottom of the screen is awesome!
Game changer isn’t it?
I heading up to fish Friday afternoon/evening. Any depth or structure I should be looking for for walleye/burbs maybe some pike/perch.
Perch/pike in 10-12 feet and you will get the walleyes and whitefish in there as well. For burbs/ walleye and whitefish go between 22-30
Awesome video!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
That is some crispy footage 🔥
It’s the best lake for sight fishing or in this case underwater footage.
@ definitely on the bucket list this winter
Not a whole lotta lakers in there that’s a rare fish right there… great video!!!
You’re right, they are a rare find in those waters. I’ve always heard of them in there but don’t know anyone personally that got one
totally agreed seen em on my aqua view off some underwater peaks yet to hook one though
Great Video! New Subscriber!!
Thanks so much glad you enjoyed it hope to do lots more underwater content for a variety of species in the near future.

I agree the leaders were not ideal but I had no big fluro with me
Hey I didn't know you were in my town that's a good place all bait and tackle
I was born and raised in deep river
You should try to run a dead stick an jig at the same time so you don't gotta keep switching ur lure. You had some awesome footage
That's a great idea, I'll have to try that next time.
Lake? River?
Class act sending fish back 🇨🇦 #1
This is a lake
@@CastandConquer
Which one? Golden?
I know where you were ,I love that lake it's a gem
I grew up in the area and can’t believe I never ice fished here until three years ago. Such a gem.
@CastandConquer im going next Friday.. I was just up south of Algonquin for brook trout and crushed it
Curious why u throw those Pike back? They are good eating and are detrimental to the other fish species in the lake.
We were only keeping a few walleye for a snack. We didn’t want to harvest a bunch of fish. But I do love eating coldwater pike
Almost seems like the underwater camera can alter your thinking as far as reaction time and quick lure change, but really cool shots and some nice fish!
It certainly can
Thanks for sharing tight lines.
You bet! Thanks for watching.
I don't get it. What's the point of releasing everyting you catch?
I fish 5-6 days a week. I love fish but there is no need to keep every time I go fishing. I do it more for the sport and the love of it than for the meal.
@CastandConquer ok, thanks for letting me know, didn't realize you fish that much :)

@ thanks for getting back to me! Good luck on quinte. Heard there’s a few safe spots out there now!
Great 😊
Thanks
Are you fishing in Canada or the states?
Canada
Hi guys, it is a good content.
Thank you for watching don’t forget to subscribe
Muskrat is 6" good ice over the basin, 10-12" by the ramp.
That’s great news I hope to make a trip there at the end of the month.
Clear water passerbys, they love to torture us clear water anglers. Fun stuff.
Tough to see but to awesome to not watch
Wow❤
Glad you enjoyed
@16:44 I felt that sound
We all did hahaha
Too bad you didn't have some live bait setup slip it down the hole for them picky walleye and they would have nailed it
We had some live bait for pike but we should have put the smaller walleye minnows down for that I agree.
U gotta raise them babies up brotha! Theyre interested but ya gotta trigger em a bit more
I know u do but then they are out of the shit of the camera so I only have so much room to work with
@CastandConquer I got ya, I thought about that after I posted this lol sweet vid either way, love seeing the underwater behavior!
Nice tail grab lol
Thanks it’s all we had
I like the underwater camera could do without u saying sick every 5 seconds it ruins the show
I appreciate that and I’ll take that criticism and work on it. Thanks for watching
First place 🥇
Thank
