We Found An Incredible Coin Filled 1700s Era Homesite

- Shawn, Terry and I had permission to metal detect on a brand new permission that contained an ancient abandoned roadway and rolling fields along a stream. After some initial investigation, we discovered the site of a colonial home. We only had a few hours to metal detect, but when it finally got dark, we had some great finds and great expectations of a return visit.
About Aquachigger:
I like to make videos that promote my lifestyle of outdoor adventure, metal detecting, yapping, searching for river treasure, SCUBA diving, exploring abandoned places, hiking, caving, caring for animals and pets, and observing the things outdoors that often go unnoticed. I keep my UA-cam "Aquachigger" channel family-friendly and hope you subscribe if you like my style.
I hope to see you guys out there!

Today, we metal detect an incredible colonial era homesite. Shawn, Terry, and I had a great time. Hunt two at this site coming soon!
The picture in the video may not always match up with the find I am looking at. This is because it is difficult for me to know precisely what coin is in my hand since they have not been cleaned. I did my best to get them to match up. I hope you enjoy tagging along on our little adventure.

Sir a farthing ( a fourth of a penny) is what i think you may be thinking of.
Nothing better on a cold and wet Sunday evening in the UK than to watch a video with the Chigg on it….
One of those rare wet days that I remember. We moved to the US up near Frostbite Falls so we just are cold mostly nowadays. Ooh ooo Farthing Chig! There be yer answer me friend.
Wow....what a site. That little button with the offset shank was a factory second, likely purchased at the local Penny Tree.
You found some good stuff, as a valley forge descendant I am proud to see you get that lost history out of the ground.
Appreciate that, it's an honor to find these pieces of the past!
Alot of great finds. Love those old coins!
Another fun day! Thanks Beau.
What a great permission !!!! Good on you Chigg !!!
I enjoyed the pictures over top. Glad there's a hunt 2
The smaller copper coins you are thinking of our quarter pennies, also known as farthings. Can’t wait to see the next hunt from here!

You've found so many great coins, and and you make it look easy. Wish it was. Thanks Beau, for sharing your adventures and your knowledge.
BTW, I'm liking the "like to view" ratio! But it should be even better.
Iron patches have the best stuff!! Good job locating that patch brother!!!
Love watching you find history Chigg! Not much Civil War stuff in North East Missouri but I do find some arrowheads.
Hey Chigg! Love your videos, you're one of the reasons that I started metal detecting pretty recently. I've had a lot of luck and I've gotten a lot of tips from your videos.

A Coin & Butt'n kina day! It looks really cold out there to me!
Great hunt!
148 views in 4 minutes. That is quite an Army. Chigg for Hollywood!!!!
Hello mr Chig, I really enjoyed your video especially the sheer number of coppers and assorted buttons you uncovered today. I was hoping you could answer a question for me. I’m in the process of having both knees replaced and was wondering if you knew if replacement knee joints interfered with metal detectors ?. I enjoy detecting and am hoping to get back to it after the replacements are in.
Wishing you many wonderful finds in the future, cal from Liverpool 🇬🇧😊💐
Sweet hunt Chigg
Please go right back there!
Wow, what a spot!
I couldn’t help but wonder what kind of turmoil loosing a coin back then would cause? I don’t imagine folks had pockets full of money, so loosing any would likely be a big deal.
best video
Nice Conn. copper!
Great day! ♥
What a great day!
You have some great drainage down there - I am thrilled by the condition of those them coins!! No spanish reales? Losing your touch Chigs 😂 congrats for real
Large Cents really Sweet
Now that’s a good day
79th like, good Sunday afternoon, chigg
Thanks for the visit
@aquachigger your welcome, love your adventures
That's quite the honey hole! The smaller British coin you are thinking of is probably a farthing, 1/4 of a penny.
Not 1st!
Hey Chigg and your friends to
It's hard to quit when the treasures keep coming. Right Chigg?
What version of the Garrett Vortex are you using in this video? I only see blue ones at their store !
It is a radiator cap for a model T
Shit chigg I would pull my jeep put the high beams on and keep digging. WOW WHAT A GREAT DAY
yes-that was a Ford Model T radiator cap.
The ring looks like the ring from a Dorset Button.
Those seem like they were worth a lot back then
How could the owner lose them?
You probably should go back there.
Model "T" radiator cap.
You've been hunting too long, I would lose my mind with excitement finding those coins lol.
At 9 minutes into your video that appears to be a Connecticut copper
