It's amazing how in every movie that Kubrick did, there's always a part of it that stays with you long after the film finishes. The soundtrack to this was absolutely superb.
Grazie, Maestro!
For me it is very difficult to make a decision on Kubrick's work ... I think he did a really superb movie .. It is one of the greatest directors in the history ... A thousand thanks for your comment!!

¡Delicioso!
"PIANO TRIO IN E-FLAT, OP 100 (second movement)" Miilions of thanks for see my video !!! Composed by Franz Schubert Piano: Anthony Goldstone cello: Moray Welsh violin: Ralph Holmes
A wonderful visual movie with very moving and beautiful music. As a blues musician it amazes me how Iam attracted to classical music. The only explaination I have is that I come from a very musical Italian family
When you examine the lovely culture and majesty of Europe and compare it to, say, American urban culture (with black rappers wearing their pants way down below their waist and screaming profanities loosely intended to be "poetry"), one is left with a feeling that the world has forgotten what true beauty is. Wow look at the structures and listen to the music. Thank you Europe !
@@OnkelAdiSuperstar You guys ever hear of Stevie Wonder? Or Hillbilly country? Yeah there's an urban element to music now, but its a sign of how times change. Let's not get all racy here like all the silver and gold to pay for these composers didn't come from South America, I mean it created great music, but there's no need to put down other cultures who use say, Rap as a means to create music without the wealth of musical instruments. Like hockey in Texas.
See it on the big screen, your eyes wont believe it. Kubrick always chose the same story, men (and women) at odds with life and their manifest destiny Paths of Glory A Clockwork Orange The Shining Spartacus 2001 Eyes Wide Shut
You're absolutely right .... development culture in ancient Greece .... or rather began in Egypt ... and then move to Europe ... But if we keep going up .... We could see that cultures like Babylon they had a great knowledge .. What you say is true ... But aside within American music's great composers .. Aaron Copland ... for example ... or Bernstein ... What happens is that the Europeans are older .. and we have more story .. A thousand thanks for your comment ... I like to have users like you!

Special lenses were developed and used because Kubrick wanted to recreate scenes with candlelight providing illumination actually in use during the period. Very low f-stops but still having a long focus!
After I saw the movie the first time I felt I understood.... something, after the second - even less..., I wanna see it for the third time but I'm afraid...

Mildly Amusing Channel- While he oversimplifies and generalizes, he is essentially correct. However, American jazz was a successful fusion of European classical music and instruments with the unique music of African-America. So other cultures have been incorporated into Western culture and deserve a measure of respect. But cultural relativism per se is bullshit. The West is superior in science, culture, philosophy, and theology. History proves this. Zimbabwe never produced a Mozart and a Requiem Mass.
Jaaaaaaaaaaaa!!
So true, and even with that white face powder that the aristocrats used. A movie with a sad,but realistic ending. I always loved candlelight,it does add a magical air to evenings.

A wonderful visual movie with very moving and beautiful music. As a blues musician it amazes me how Iam attracted to classical music. The only explaination I have is that I come from a very musical Italian family

This most likely is that one film I will never watch again. Looking Back when getting older. Oh no, not this Movie. Too tearing. Like none other.
MESMO COM TUDO DE ERRADO QUE HAVIA, NAS SOCIEDADES DAQUELES TEMPOS, ELAS AINDA ERAM MUITO MENOS SUJAS QUE AS DE HOJE!!!
It's very nice music !!!!!
Top👍

Because America is a land of rootless, deracinated mulattoes, cruel brutes and ill educated mutts.
It was inevitable.

Like hockey in Texas.
And yet we praise the director of this film who is very much a product of America
Rajiv Murkejee it’s a many splendoured thing! America. Never underestimate them.
Sadly you are quite correct.

that moment when schubert turns the military trudge to triplets...
Million of thanks for your comment cubanbach!!!!!
Stanley Kubrick- - not too shabby a director
Million and million of thanks for you coment!!!!!!!!!!!
Special lenses were developed and used because Kubrick wanted to recreate scenes with candlelight providing illumination actually in use during the period. Very low f-stops but still having a long focus!
And the actors had to move slowly too.
almost agree... it's in my top 5: Kubrick, being 2001 A Space Odyssey, Dr. Strangelove, The Killing, & Paths of Glory
For much of human history, we had many candles inside, and many horses outside.
After I saw the movie the first time I felt I understood.... something, after the second - even less..., I wanna see it for the third time but I'm afraid...
