    Breaks my heart that Schubert had to die so young 😔! His melodies in all his works, but especially his late works, were transcendental! The melodies in his unfinished symphony, the 2nd mvmnts in his last two sonatas (the whole sonatas are great), his last song set schwanengsang are all some of the best composition ever on paper!

      No olvidemos su Quinteto en Do, con 2 cellos, una especie de testamento. cumbre de la música de cámara y, para muchos (incluido el suscrito) la cumbre de toda la música occidental.

    I listened to this in its entirety, admittedly, half-drunk. After an night of surfing and searching with Schubert as my companion, a particularly rousing crescendo focused my attention onto the timeline, revealing, to my surprise, that precisely 1 minute remained.
    For 1 minute, my half-drunk mind grappled with the final refrain of this melody and the faintest outline of dawn pressing itself through the shapes of the trees.
    It was ineffably beautiful.
    RIP Schubert.

    • @mikoajbaczynski3733
      @mikoajbaczynski3733 4 роки тому

      Listen to Satie's Gnossienne no 1. It has a lot of them, others aren't numerous and the melody is played slowly enough to understand the concept.

    • @sorabji1
      @sorabji1 3 роки тому +2

      Traditionally, one would put a natural before an accidental is applied to a note in the key signature. In this case, since E is flat in the key signature, in order to write E-sharp, you would need to write a natural first. Most modern editions leave off these rather redundant accidentals, so this score must be a somewhat older edition.

      Hi Vulcan. Don't take any notice of the Debussy idiot, he's unsuccessfully trying to be funny. Hey, why not try and learn to read it. Then you will be able to follow scores and understand how it all works. Lots of simple starter books about it around, you can teach yourself. I've been reading music since I was 5 years old and believe me it's never too late to start. Good luck. David A
