I absolutely loved running the f1. We all raced the tamiya f104 pro 2's. We all swapped out the stock tires to foam, gave much better grip on the track
I love F1 because it is so different to drive compared to touring cars etc. For me I find that a lot of the steering is done by the brakes, I guess mainly the initial turn in. So once the car is setup pretty well the main adjustment I make for differing track conditions is the amount of brake the controller can send. It can vary wildly, outdoors on low grip it can be down to as low as 50%, then indoors on carpet up to 80%. Depending on how it feels. Steering it delicately with the brake and throttle is a fun challenge! The only other adjustment I make is the front toe. The F1 seems to really like a good bit of toe out. And only small adjustments seem to make big differences to my car's feel. And clean overtaking is so hard!!!
Good vid, new subscriber here. I have one on order, should be here in a couple of days. Glad to hear you like it. I am sure I will be in the same boat bringing up the rear on the track, but it will be a blast anyway.
Thanks for the sub! You’ll have fun. It take some time and a lot of tuning and learning. I hope you have some good guys at the track to help you. Feel free to reach out if I can help
I Want (hard core) But i am newb... I have a Ky Gt2 Ni, 2 x HPI WR8's Ni, and now i got a Schum.. FT8 (FWD) so i can play at local track. That k you clay. I love the on road. Especially this f1. But really basic tt02 is still the best because it’s low risk and fun with my friends. No fiddle. Just fun :)

@@Dorkyand40 thanks for the offer. There are some very experienced guys at the track, time will tell how helpful they are.
The car looked great out there. It’s a large learning curve but you’ll get there. Biggest thing is going to be getting confidence in that sweeper.
Ugh the sweeper. Yeah man. I worked on my brakes so that way I can slow down and try to control the rotation.

It looks like it rotates weird thru the corners.
There was a pod issue we found the other day. So good catch :)
