I love everything about this place, the bedrooms, baths, antiques, 14th century windows, old timey doorframes, those timbered pink walls!!!! I want to live here!!!!❤
What a stunning and charming place! It's so creative artistic and innovative. The esthetic is everywhere. Very unique, thank you so much for the visit. From Canada
The building is nice and it is filled with a lot of very beautiful things. I wonder why, though, so little attention seems to have been paid to implementing a coherent vision that takes into account shape, proportion, symmetry, color and harmony. Great building, art, and furnishings, though.
Thank for the comments. I think if we're used as a home it would look a little different, but its a commercial building and used for various events and private meetings so needs to be a bit of a blank canvas really.
@@simonatuniquepropertycompany Hello Simon. I did know there was a bit of a business aspect to it, but I am afraid that I misunderstood and believed it was a home first and a business second. I do apologize, I understand completely now. Thank you for clearing that up. LOL! No wonder it looked so much more like a business. It is one! God bless.
Stunning and unique! Very well presented….I think you would visit a few times as you just cannot take it all in! I do like the religious feel it still has and the religious items on display.
American here...I am drooling at this historical standard. Truly enjoyed the tour. Noticed every room has at least one fire extinguisher. While wise, the magnitude in responsibility of the tenant occupant is significant. This building must not fall. ~ Thank you again for the lovely experience.
My pleasure, hello from London. And my thanks for your comments. The reason the fire extinguishers are in place is due to this building being a commercial space, it's a requirement. But that said, the owner is very diligent anyway.
@@simonatuniquepropertycompany Oh thank you for explaining. I just couldn't shake it after seeing so many. We may have the same here in the states, but usually they are hung on a wall near an exit. These ALMOST seemed to be decor. ~ Sorry I detoured the conversation. 😉
Don’t know this guy but he must be a famous antique dealer as he has some money behind the reno. I love the interior wall colors, especially the perfect mauve in the one display room. The gallery (hallway) is my favorite! The large jug in there is a keeper! The rest of the furniture I wouldn’t give house room. Garish colors and disjointed styles, the only set I liked is the table and chairs in the courtyard.
Liked the front doors and natural stone walls. Would love to see those 14th century windows sans paint. Hard pass on the Miami colors and furnishings for me; as a Floridian, that style puts me to sleep.
Hi, I love this, the colours on the walls are divine. Would you happen to know the brand of paint Alex uses please? It seems to have an almost chalky texture.
Good lord, amazing. Really amazing. The colour palette is flawless too. What are the heating bills like in the winter, I wonder? (Though if one can afford the place I guess that's not an issue!) 11:34 I was looking at those iron pots on his website, and wonder if he knows if they came from a fishing town originally. Looks to me like a barking pot, which was used to tar nets back in the day...well, until the 50s and 60s here in Newfoundland. I know they were also used on the south coast of England as well. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bark_pot#:~:text=A%20bark%20pot%20is%20the,fishery%20of%20Newfoundland%20and%20Labrador.

Magnificent !

The owner is quite private. Well known in the business but mainstream. Thanks for watching.
Wonder what it is like in the winter? Freezing cold, even with those radiators?
Not as bad as you might think. Thanks for watching
Was thinking, those are some substantial radiators. Imagine the chill during the monastic times❗

Thankd for your comments, much appreaciated. Its always tricky picking colours for such ancient buildings.
Hi,

No problem at all. By a weird coincidence I am meeting with Alex on Tuesday so I’ll ask and report back. Thanks for watching.
Thank you Simon, much appreciated.
@@carolyncarolyn2474 Just to let you know, i saw Alex. Its a Corical lime paint

When the monasteries were dissolved, do you know who owned it/what it was used as?
Cheers
It was a pottery for many years then lay empty for a while. Thanks for watching
hi Gemma
It's amazing but who wants to climb stairs all day and night!
Yes but don’t forget this is a commercial space not a house. Thanks for watching 👍
