"Don't give Robert a samurai sword"... I. Am. Dying LOLOL. I absolutely love this track because it's the old recipe for great Stryper tune, look no further than the guitar solos.
Their album Soldiers Under Command was the very first CD I ever owned. Got it along with a CD Boom Box for Christmas in '85. Been a massive fan of the band ever since that first few notes of Soldiers Under Command. By far my favorite song they've ever written. The Yellow and Black Attack is officially an EP as the original pressing only had 6 songs on it. A re-release in '86 added 3 more songs. So Soldiers is their official first full length album. This is a fantastic song and I am looking forward to the new album.
ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANCE!🤘💀🎸🥁LOVE THIS BAND AFTER ALL THESE YEARS & STILL DO AT THIS DAY!👊💕🙏FORGET THE HATERS AND THIS BAND DELIVER THE GOODS!!!,💛🖤💛 KILLER VIDEO!!!
After they became Christians, they changed the band name to Stryper and changed all the secular lyrics to Christian lyrics. Thank God. Now their music has a purpose.
I believe they split the guitar solos pretty much 50/50. I'll be going to see them when they come back to Tulsa next month and I'm taking the whole family with me - kids are excited! Quality, wholesome rock and roll for the entire family! 😊
I have to admit, I didn't really give these guys a chance back in the day because of their reputation as a Christian metal band. It's only recently in my middle-aged years that I've gone back and listened to their stuff, much of which is really quite good. You have to respect their devotion to their faith and their spiritual mission in life, which has undoubtedly cost them millions of dollars in earnings (because metal heads like me were turned off by their religious message and did not buy their albums). God bless them, they're still here and they're still making music that glorifies the Lord of their salvation! ✝😇
I have been a fan of Stryper since 1985! I had all there stuff. I got to meet them in 2001 when they did a reunion tour. Now at 50 years old. I think I’m a bigger fan! They keep bringing out great tunes! Love them!
Saw Stryper back when they reunited when Tracy Ferrie ( sorry if it’s misspelled) during the “Reborn” 7:40 tour. Been my favorite band since Yellow and Black Attack. I have ALL their CD’s/LP’s. This band just keeps getting better. It’s a shame though that Timothy Gaines is no longer with the band.
Met the band at a local Independence, MO record store on the To Hell With The Devil tour in 1987. Got autographs. They later played Memorial Hall with Hurricane opening. My friend and I had our tickets, and my Mom dropped us off and said she'd pick us up later. Then some guy out of nowhere said he couldn't make the show and asked my Mom if she wanted the ticket. Sure why not, so Mom got a free show. This was my first real concert. It was soooo loud, it took a couple days to hear normally again.
Great video brother! Normally they have dual solo’s with Michael starting and OZ finishing up guitar 🎸. By the way the bass player played with the band Firehouse. Keep rocking bro!!
Stryper has put out a lot of good albums, and I'd recommend them to any one who likes hard rock and metal. The only album they released, which I didn't care for, was "Against the Law". They had a couple of ok songs on their but I just didn't like the album over all. I can't think of any other album I didn't like from them. Petra would not be considered metal, though I think a few of their songs could be categorized as hard rock. They are more rock, pop, and contemporary. I find it strange no one has mentioned the band Jacob's Dream. They are one of my favorite christian metal bands. I'd recommend a few of their earlier albums. A good intro would be Kinescope, or Welcome to My World which you can easily find on UA-cam.
This is a solid song. This one has been growing on me and gets better with each play. Not sure if you have reacted to Baby Metal Ratatata yet but that would be a fun one to react to. Nothing like the good ol boys here. ;)
I’ve met the whole band a few times…….great guys! Been my favorite band since 85 but the first 3 songs off this new album aren’t my favorite at all. I hope it gets heavier 😢
is this the song I think it is? I think I only know one song from the band, I KNOW we have not checked that out, so you know the drill David hold tight my friend, gonna check it for you!
Lifelong Stryper fan. I've been convinced their newest records are some of the best classic heavy metal out there right now. I've been so bored by this latest offering. This song seems like a washed up high school football player watching the old tapes on a saturday night drinking vodka wishing he could be 17 again. These guys are too good for this shite. Love you Shane!
I was never a huge fan of this band and this song was a solid "OK" for me...I've heard other material that I liked better. I was born in the middle of the Bible Belt and went to Vacation Bible School every summer from ages 5 through 8 so I can at least lend that to the Christian part of the equation.
As life long Stryper fan from when they began 1984.....this album disappoints. It started with TFB....nothing memorable on this album. a few good songs but "meh"
Stryper continues to put out amazing music. Name a metal band that’s put out this quality music for 40+ years.
Perry (bass) was in Firehouse.

CD and boombox in 85’?! Your parents rich?! lol
You can definitely hear the throw-back sound on this album so far. I prefer the heavier stuff, but still really like this. And that video is killer.

Saw them live 14 times… will see them for the 15th time in September.
Stryper is awesome !!!
After they became Christians, they changed the band name to Stryper and changed all the secular lyrics to Christian lyrics. Thank God. Now their music has a purpose.
Still rocking after all these years😊
Perry was in Maxx Warrior early to mid 80’s ( my first live concert ever🤘🏼🤘🏼) then later ole Firehouse
some days later I remember someone mentioning he was in Firehouse. Thanks my friend.
I just saw Them the other night here in Denver. I swear they get better with age. Amazing two hour show.
and a 2 hour show is great! did they do the costume change like Michael Sweet was talking about?
@@ShaneDiablo yes they did.
I believe they split the guitar solos pretty much 50/50.

STRYPER Will keep going until JESUS COMES BACK

This song rocks! Great new album!

me too. Even got a Pepsi can from Oz after the show. Tracy was great also.
This song is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Shane You Gotta Listen too When the reign comes down by holy soldier it has to be one of my favorite songs ever
Saw them 6 TIMES, met Michael sweet
Good video Shane, liked stryper since 84 .
Aho! Perry. SC kid. Respect.
Their new bassist was in FireHouse back then.

Stryper was my first concert, Feb 1997. Still a fan.
* Stryper
The back of the chaor read "Jesus Christ Rocks"

That entire solo sounded like Michael to me.
Michael 1st...Oz 2nd
@@jimmyrivera1866 You're right. There's one real sequence-y part that reminded me of Michael's style, but I hear it now.
Seen stryper live in corpus christi tx about 10 years ago they were great. This is just okay in my opinion I did like the solos...
Thirty Seconds To Mars,The Kill(Bury Me).
is this the song I think it is? I think I only know one song from the band, I KNOW we have not checked that out, so you know the drill David hold tight my friend, gonna check it for you!

Everybody and they mama knows Stryper essentially created the Christian Metal genre
ya know, there were bands before them, but if you ask anyone about christian metal I think you're right the first name they would say is Stryper,
@ShaneDiablo Even bands like Skillet and Bride credit Stryper with the creation of it, if not outright smashing it in peoples' faces lol
Solos are split, Michael's usually first.
save the fantastical eneding of the solo for Oz Fox.
Will you review Unpopular by Skillet?

now I believe this was the album where Michael was saying they were going to go back to the hard rock a bit wasn't it?
@@ShaneDiablo He did, but IMO it's one of their softer albums. A few good songs but it's not as good as the previous 4 stopping at TFB
