same for me ...i ve already started checking the air kit price online and discussing the delivery process .... but wait i do not have my first defender yet....
Awesome ! ... minor whinge about the volume difference between voice & music ... found myself constantly twiddling the volume knob ... hey if people don't point out these things .... loving your vids.
Gold. Great feature for defender. My LR3 is awesome. Best thing for multi story car parks, the looks on people’s faces when they slam is hilarious especially when the car hit the height rail. 😂😂
Awesome. Just recieved my kit. Will Install it next week. Thanks for the recommendation and the hundred others! My bank account has become very dry since finding your channel 😂
“Shooting with the boys” setting 🤣. Brilliant. I’ve been looking around at Defender 90’s and discounted black ones from my search because I thought it looked too samey - but wow, this one looks mint 👌
Another nice bit of work, love your attention to detail. Just get the music levels right as like others have said I'm up and down with the volume, however I kept watching as an air suspension 90 makes a lot of sense.
loving the videos that you're putting up! Can you do us all defender fans a favor and list all the items installed. It's killing me not knowing the brands for the roof rack and the air suspension.
Hi Sam, Great videos I have pretty much watched all the videos youve posted now. I was thinking maybe you could do a short video on what to look out for when buying a defender, The good and the bad! you never know it might make some of your viewers buy one and then they might come to you for some custom work!? also its probably an easy video to make in this quarantine! Keep up the great work the videos are made really nicely! 😊
Wow...looked like a very technical fit out so well done you. I fitted a NAS rear step to my 2000 TD5...not an easy job getting the old hitch off and then had to re-tap the thread holds from previous owners bodge job but they are good and do look nice 👍 I didn’t have the Jack point cover plugs on mine so that’s a nice touch on the one you got. Not sure about the roof rack though...i would have gone for a Flatdog one as lighter, lower profile and soooo much easier to bolt/ strap cargo on to it with the slot system...but that’s just my opinion 👍👍
Buying my first Defender this week. It is a 1991 200TDI 110. I want to do an air ride on it along with a variable geometry turbo and just everything. Hoping for the ultimate Defender, ONE DAY!
Juice I saw this masterpiece and I remembered the days when Britain was in Sharjah in the Emirates and it was the first car in the city .... You have a bride so keep it. . . Ali
🔥🔥🔥 mint! So many questions though 😂 does the 2.5lift cause an issue with the props if you’re smashing it off road? Does it have an auto level function? Is there a speed sensor on the lift setting or could you blast it down the motorway 2.5inches up? How about the slammed function, any wheel rub on lock? Sick job as ever mate, all defenders should have this, hopefully one day they will cost the same as some shocks 😂
No issue with props etc, a stock defender can be lifted 2” without any real drivetrain mods providing the axles aren’t hanging. The kit has a speed sensor but it doesn’t work too well with the prehistoric Defender speed signal, so it’s left disconnected. You can lift it at speed but the handbrake has to be on for it to drop into access. The on road experience is amazing, much more stable and not twitchy at all! 😍
Love it! Please more videos about it! What happens if there is a fail? Bump stops? Etc... Can it withstand heavy weight? Video of it offroading... Thanks for the video (-:
Looks fantastic...... love it !. just a quick question, what is the weight and pressure rating on the airbags. I mean like the range rovers as standard are obviously built to withstand towing up to 3.5 tons, I'm guessing it would be!?. The other question is will the company supply spare air springs for when they split and perish as they did on my p38, and how much do they cost?. The finishing touch on that would be a remote start kit!. Great vid !!!
Love your authenticity and passion Sam - I’m curious about the strobe lighting in the video from certain angles - it’s an epilipsy trigger thing, I don’t have it, but photosensitive epileptics might have a seizure so might be worth posting up a warning, like they do on the telly 😉 BTW I’m looking at buying a new first edition defender 110 over the next year and really enjoyed what you did to a late previous model which my wife would never let me get until the new defender caught our eyes.
Fantastic looking. I’d love to know what wheels and tire size it’s rocking? And I saw a glimpse of spacers - what size are they. Thanks a lot and keep up the great work.
Love the Channel, making my way through the videos quicker than i care to mention! Ive currently just bought a Defender 90 myself and was thinking about heading in the same direction as you have. Quick question, what make are the roof rack and ladder set as I've not seen any better than them?
The compressor, Is it a viair? Do you know whether you can fit an external air feed for them? Thinking for the odd time in deep water, don't want the compressor to suck up water
Is the air suspension install on this black D90 is the same as the other video with a grey D90 and stage 2 tune? Brake hoses standard or longer? After nearly 1 year, reliability? Owner review?
Hi Sam just found your channel and binge watched all your videos. You are obviously a Defender specialist so should have a nice little business. Have just subscribed hope you can do something with the volume as my button is up and down like a tarts knickers. Cheers am enjoying the videos . Thanks Ty
I know it's a long shot, but would you be able to provide me with a link to this air ride kit? I am currently doing a full build on an 89 defender 90 and would love to incorporate this system into it!
OMG!!!! how cool is this.... i wonder why JLR never did this from factory im guessing reliability considering the issues that disco 3/4, RR and RRS owners have lol.... you need to fix the N/S DRL too :)
The problem with those steps, hitch packs is that they seriously hinder departure angles. I guess if the truck is a street warrior then it doesn't matter. My next mod for my 110 is to have a plate and box section insert for a quick detach hitch. They are popular here in NZ due to most modern 4x4 having a dire departure angle.
were can i buy this kit from just got a 110 chassis back from blasters its been painted but this is what i want as my g friend doing her nut about my spectre 110 too high too bumpy the usual bitching so i said next one i build will have air bags and auto got to keep her happy lol
Is it wise to put this on an offroad vehicle? I mean, what if the height sensor and compressor gets covered in muck? And how vulnerable are these air bags? thinking stones and twigs etc.
As with all material goods that are high quality, there is a price tag to pay. I feel the value of the kit outweighs the cost. Thanks for the comments 😍💛
Hi Sam. Just watched the video, omg what a difference. Do you have direct number for costing purposes and what was the drive like once installed. ?? Many thanks Daniel
Hi Sam thinking of doing this to my 90 xtech. question what size were the wheels on this do they need to be upgraded from standard sawtooth alloys? many thanks Oliver
How does it drive with the air suspension? I want air shocks on my Hyundai H1/iMax/Starex (not sure what it is called there so gave you all the names I have heard).
Once the heights are set the load doesn't matter the vehicle will maintain those heights. When loaded the suspension compensates by increasing pressure in the bags to reach the desired height.
The System will always level the load, no need to calibrate for weight. If for whatever reason it’s really heavyweight you’re pulling you can connect the remote and independently add air to the rear bags and level it. But this Defender never carries weight 🙂
So.... i have a 2013 90 hard top and the one thing that is killing me is the ride. Does the air kit really make it tolerable? Even with ridgid axels? Also, just been looking online what specific kit did you use?
smiles per gallon, in stead of miles per gallon, defenders are cheap and easy to repair, only personal down side for me is the driving position is not central and you have to drive with the winder open
hey sam if you read this comment, I have been having a problem with my 110 defender 2002, so I hade it fix after so major problems and it just broke down and wont even start so what do u think might be wrong.
out of interest, is the ladder sold as MOT compliant? I had a similar one on my V8 90 and it was questioned every year as it slightly obstructed the plate.
Hi, Just asked the wife if I could spend £3,600 on an air kit. She reminded me I did not have a Defender!!!!!!! there you go dream on. Great video.
same for me ...i ve already started checking the air kit price online and discussing the delivery process .... but wait i do not have my first defender yet....
😂😂😂
Tell her, that is given by friends.
Awesome ! ... minor whinge about the volume difference between voice & music ... found myself constantly twiddling the volume knob ... hey if people don't point out these things .... loving your vids.
Silas Murray thank you! I’ll get this sorted
agree about the volume better if just took the musicout al together nothing wrong with abit off sped up ratchet noises lol
Sams passion for defenders is contagious. This is an amazing video
Astar 23 thank you 🙏🏻
would love to see how the air ride holds up off road, thats one really nice 90
Fearless. That’s what I like about Juice Motors. Fearless.
I have recently subscribed to this channel, the way the Landrover modifications are explained and carried out are excellent!
Gold. Great feature for defender. My LR3 is awesome. Best thing for multi story car parks, the looks on people’s faces when they slam is hilarious especially when the car hit the height rail. 😂😂
just discovered this channel absolutley awesome sam please keep videos going
Awesome. Just recieved my kit. Will Install it next week. Thanks for the recommendation and the hundred others! My bank account has become very dry since finding your channel 😂
Love the channel! Be awesome if you added products used to the description!
“Shooting with the boys” setting 🤣. Brilliant. I’ve been looking around at Defender 90’s and discounted black ones from my search because I thought it looked too samey - but wow, this one looks mint 👌
Lovely defender! Cracking job mate

Absolutely fantastic job mate 👍
You’ve got me thinking about a NAS step now ! Air suspension is mental 🤪
loving the videos that you're putting up! Can you do us all defender fans a favor and list all the items installed. It's killing me not knowing the brands for the roof rack and the air suspension.
Fadhlan Yakob On Air is the air set up, and the roof rack is a non branded rack from eBay 💛
I have to say this channel is massive underrated it’s gonna blow up soon! Loved this video mate definitely going to stay subscribed!
Hi Sam.Congratulation man 👏👏👏 that so so cool . Your Defender is awesome 😍😍😍
That's bloody wicked mate

One of the best looking defenders out there

I always wondered what a lowered defender would look like. Awesome job.
WoW . I would love to build myself the same Black 90. Great build.

Another great video. Love the rear step. Where did you fix the electrical tow bar socket on the new step? Cheers. Wayne.

Awesome channel. Definitely I’ll install that rare step to my black defender 90
I wish they had these in the US. They are so cool!

Whats it like to drive? Is there a noticeable difference? Any rubbing or catching on the wheel arches?
Nice installation Sam. Well done
Love the idea of improving my defender ride! Who makes the kit? And does it really make the ride like a range rover?! Thanks.
I'd now replace the sidesteps with rock and tree sliders as you have made them redundant!:) + clearance if the flimsy sill piece is is also removed
A must have add on to the Defender!

I really like defnder cars, they are very powerful and resistant to all terrain.
The problem with those steps, hitch packs is that they seriously hinder departure angles.

Hi, I m thinking doing this for my Defender 90 as well. Just one question, is the Defender drivable at the lower access height?
Hi love ur installations, what is the price for the total kit.
Love the channel, recently found. I dont own a 90 or 110, would love too, but toying with the idea of a 2003 Disco 🤔
Doing a 1962 Series 2a on o 2006 Disco 1 chassis, this would be a lovely addition
Me too, always thought air ride would be good on a Disco 2003. lat me know if you go for it.
Please list the parts SKU for the air suspension. I would love to order one. Thx. Love the channel since the blue defender
Hi there! What kit is this and any idea who much to install? Thanks Rob!
Hi Sam. Just watched the video, omg what a difference. Do you have direct number for costing purposes and what was the drive like once installed. ?? Many thanks Daniel
daniel Windley Hi Daniel, if you send me a message via Instagram we can get the ball rolling, alternatively email me at info@juicemotors.com 🙏🏻
But how’d it drive? When no mention, one could assume possibly incorrectly it was not worth the money?
Would love a review on its on and off road ride.
Oh my, the want is deep with this one.
Awesome build mate, maybe should have calibrated sus after extra weight? would have been nice to see a road test too.
Perfection 👌
Hi mate, just wondering what size the wheels & tyres are ?? They look the business
i like it, GOOD JOB

don't really understand what makes the ride so bad for you?
Can we talk about the new 2020 defender 90 you drove past at the beginning of the video?
Cool vehicle.
What air ride kit did you use
Great content bro 👌👌 keep up 😁
I really enjoyed this video.
Am I being an idiot but how comes the leaf springs are still on...I didn't think you would need them....
It doesn’t have leaf springs… they’re coil sprung from factory - think you’re looking at the radius arms holding the axle to the chassis 😊
@@juicemotors
Thanks mate, I told you I'm an idiot.
Cheers! Take it easy .
I’m torn between the defender and a jeep. One main criteria for me is MPG. What’s the MPG like for the defenders??
smiles per gallon, in stead of miles per gallon, defenders are cheap and easy to repair, only personal down side for me is the driving position is not central and you have to drive with the winder open
Defender all day long. Join the brotherhood.
Lovely job but noticed no grommet between air line and hole in spring mount?
mick the builder it’s sealed with polyurethane sealant, the airline will be kept safer this way and won’t chafe
wow amazing :)
I would have like to seen you take it for a drive in and around town.
Awesome - now it has the same capability as a 1994 Range Rover Classic.
Not unless you add sound deadening, comfy seats and extended range fuel tank!!
What a nice Defender. Where can I get those rims?
absolutly awsome land rover brilliant accessories could i fit it to a 110 1988 mm
hey sam if you read this comment, I have been having a problem with my 110 defender 2002, so I hade it fix after so major problems and it just broke down and wont even start so what do u think might be wrong.

I drive a very early TD6 L322 RR which I love, but would I swap it for a Defender with Air Suspension? OH YES, if only I could afford to! 👍
