In an interview valeska explains this song its about the day she left her home country and her mama drived her to germany. Her mom doesnt like to drive so Valeska made a special music mix for her. When she says Drive darling, she is singing to her mama and about the day she left her friends and family

In an interview Valeska explains that she made her mother mix tapes and labeled them "drive darling". When she made the decision to move to Germany from Switzerland her mother (mother hates driving) drove her and the listened to the mixed tapes as the drove. I get a Jason Bourne vibe from this vid. Makes me wanna visit Europe, except for the getting shot part. I don't have to leave Texas for that.

The MOST beautiful voice I have heard and one of the best songs.
I've been listening to this the whole month. As a foreigner in the US, most people like me settle down in a city for a while, and it's normal that friends come and go. It is my first time to see the official video, and it surprises me that it's winter, cuz I've imagined the story in summer time, and totally different feeling. Love the song, and whole album.

Sonia and Valeska are the band 'Boy', and moving to the same city made it a lot easier for them. They started in small clubs, and with small internet clips (long before these 'official versions') and became famous that way. No production company was interested in them until quite recently, I think.
