But aren't they putting on an act most of the time? Like being sarcastic and ironic is all on purpose. Don't get me wrong, I like it. But Nardwar is great because of his authenticity. That's his redeeming quality. These guys are great (imo) because they're quirky, irreverent humor that blends knowledge of multiple generations of musical taste and a very modern lingo. The only similarity is they both interview people.

I shook Tades hand at a Heart Attack Man show, he was just hanging out. I interrupted his conversation just to shake his hand and tell him I like his music. Then carried on. Cause celebrities are people too. And I'd just spent 5 minutes looking up pictures of him on Instagram and being like I think this is him, yeah this is him. So I didn't want to be awkward.
Oh I opened by confirming his identity. "Are you the singer for Hot Mulligan? Dope! I like your music, have a nice night!" Is probably exactly everything I said to him.
i got to say hi to him when they were opening for the wonder years. literally just bought a HM hoodie and was walking back in and noticed him walking towards me and nearly shit a brick. held up my new "hot mulligan kicks ass!!!!1!" bumper sticker and said to him "hot mulligan does kicks ass!!!!1! you guys are fucking awesome" and then replayed the moment in my head for a month straight lmao

Seems like bands like this always start with a unique and compelling sound, and end up with {insert the most generic post punk riff you can and sometimes yell to seem edgy, but really try get on the radio} that the labels approve.
