You don't sweat the little things as you give the audience what they paid for. It is called professionalism. Very, very glad you have discovered a talent that we've known for forty plus years.
Really enjoyed you enjoying Stevie ( : So absolutely elated in your reaction and commentary you share with everyone out here!!!! You’ve got to react to Stevie and Jeff Healy (amazing guitarist that played all through the movie “Roadhouse” it’ll blow you away!!!! Thanks for the reactions Godbless!!!!
Love seeing a younger generation discover the greatness that is Stevie Ray! Please react to Leave My Girl Alone, Live in Austin(same show). Freakin' flyin' fingers of funk!!!🎸🔥🤘
Now there's a fine example of a guitar tech who's worth his weight in gold! Granted, SRV is innovative enough to get through a song with only 5 strings, but my God, talk about a seamless change that was timed perfectly!
That is the most GOAT level guitar switch in music history. Did not miss a beat or a note in the process shows the team work of his crew and his focus.
Thanks, Girl! yeah -- "Go Reese Wynans! He was killah on the keys and Stevie was always generous giving credit -- now check out that string break.. and how smooth the switch is.. if you didn't see it, you'd never know, right?.. lol
Near the end of his life, he had his guitar strings made from piano wire as that was the only way he could play as aggressively as he did without constantly breaking strings. The trade off was they were so strong he’d rip off the callouses on his fingers. He fixed that by just supergluing them back on.
Thanks for this reaction to SRV definitely one of the greats. You might want try out another version of this song where Stevie pairs up with Jeff Healey adds his guitar solo in place of the piano from this version. I think you’ll find that it’s even more of a greater blues / rock jam.
You can see the look on his face when the string breaks during the solo. It's like he's saying to the guitar, 'go ahead and fall apart if you want, but I'm not done with this solo yet'. Then during the swap, he doesn't miss a thing.
Stevie is the Guitar God of All!!! There's many others but STEVIE'S is incomparably the best! STEVIE YOU ARE MISSED BY ALL!!! RIP were right here with you Stevie! ✌️🎶💔
Hi Katie, I'm a Musician and a Keyboardist and Reese Wyans is so Great on Piano but Stevie was the Goat, RIP, but he died in a helicopter crash on 8/27/1990. I was lucky I was alive when he was here. My friend was able to play with him and it blew his mind.
Woo Hoo Austin back in da day!!!! So proud to have experienced it Austin was truly amazing thank you Lord that I was born and raised here and “lived” the music scene in 62 now AND without a doubt Stevie will ALWAYS be my number #1 Forever!!!!!
August 27th 1990 was a bad for all of us SRV fans! I first saw Stevie, Chris and Tommy; September 23, 1983 in Miami, at a Jammies Award show for local bands. He opened up for Mitch Ryder. The Texas Flood record had just come out, and he was pretty much an unknown. I had the record for about a month, and had to see him live. I then drove up to Cocoa Beach, Fl. to see him live at Brassy's Nightclub September 25th 1983 At Both shows he stunned the audience as they had no idea what they had just witnessed! I saw him a total of 7 times. Only in 1987 at the Brevard County Fair did i get backstage and meet the band for about 10 minutes. Nicest bunch players i had and have ever met. Stevie is a guitar legend. As others have said, it is fantastic to see a whole new generation get to see THE MAN!
Reese Wynans now plays the keys for Joe Bonamassa. Another GREAT guitarist. If you love SRV, You'll love Joe Bonamassa. And he's putting out REAL music today. Check out Joe.
This is not only testament to Stevie, but to the alertness, readiness and professionalism of his guitar tech and sound man. All Stevie did was look over his shoulder and his man was there to even help him strap on so that he could hit his cue. No pop or feedback in the PA either. The channel was dropped and picked back up with spot on timing.
Thank you for giving respect to the guitar tech and the sound man - the unsung heroes of any excellent live act are the techies and roadies who make the show seem effortless… they pour their hearts into showcasing these musical geniuses with nearly no recognition outside of the actual touring unit. We fans should be more appreciative of them !
People miss the fact that the whole band was on another level it's just that Stevie Ray Vaughn was so much ahead of them no one sees how good his band really was I'm telling you the night he was killed the world lost what was going to be the greatest guitarist that ever lived , it was said that on that foggy August night in 1990 the helicopter pilot was really uncomfortable about flying but they went up anyway cause it was a late show and Stevie wanted to get to the hotel cause he had another show the next day and it was going to be a long long ride in a limo so they took off and flew into the side of a mountain in the fog killing the pilot and all 4 passengers on impact
He was this talented , because of a story that his brother Jimmy of the fabulous thunderbirds tells about when they were young and learning their craft how Stevie Ray would practice tell he would shread the calluses off his fingers and then crazy glue them back on and go back to practicing , in another interview he talked about how he was a few years older then Stevie and in order to go to band practice , Jimmy would have to sneak away from the house cause Stevie Ray always wanted to run after him wanting to practice and play with the band
Thanks for excepting me . You should look up Stevie Ray Vaughan “ Texas flood “ It will blow your socks off !! There you will see how good he is on the guitar…
I remember that Austin City Limits well. Could not believe what I was seeing. There weren't the opportunities to see live playing on TV. React to "Life Without You" live in Capitol City. My favorite SRV, Another great reaction!!!
i was in Texas in the 1900'2. the man anchored me to there... the Saldado- Austin avenue. Ive lived there up to now in 2023. He makes me some of how I am. Thanks.
Love me some SRV. Love me some IYG. You really are a blues girl. The best guitarist are always blues guitarists. Glad you got back to him so soon. He broke a lot of strings.\ He played real heavy strings so had to tighten them a lot to tune. The second guitar isn't broken in yet. Needs a few more thousand hours of play. -YourBiggestFan
Loved your review and decided to subscribe. I agree... This is definitely real music! Glad you gave a shout-out to the man on the keys, too. Reese Wynans is awesome, just like the other guys in Double Trouble, Chris Layton on drums and Tommy Shannon on bass. They made a great team for our incredible SRV! Looking forward to hearing your reactions to more Stevie Ray... and great music by other artists. (P.S.: Also loved seeing your puppers in the background. What's that little cutie's name?)
His style of music was southern rock rooted heavily in the blues , most of the music in those days was close to that but no one did it like Stevie but for more of it check into bands like Marshall tucker Molly Hatchet The Allman Brothers Band and the list goes on but you can start with them if you like to style music or you can just go straight to the source and start listening to some BB King style blues music , Stevie always claimed BB King as not only a huge force in his musical style but also a close personal friend
I love Reese Wynans on keyboard as much as Stevie Ray. SRV was completely self taught and was an intuitive player. One less string? No problem, just improvise on what's left!
the greatist guitar player ever. he did a version of this song with jeff healey a blind guitar player , jeff is worth checking out [ as the years go passing by live at the stuttgart jazz festival ] love your reactions
You should hear The Pianist when he plays the organ! This dude is phenomenal! Also I can't remember what song it is but Stevie Ray plays with his teeth and actually breaks one of them😅
Just found your channel so sorry for the late comment. You need to see “Texas Flood live at El Mocambo”. Arguably, one of the best performances ever been.
I actually worked a couple a shows as a stage and check out the video from the Capitol Theater in Passaic New Jersey life without you you can't see me but I'm on his side of the stage off off on the wing unbelievable
Please please please PLEASE react to Roadrunner by the Modern Lovers. One of the greatest rock songs ever and I can’t find a single reaction on it. YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED!
He attacked the strings so savagely that he would routinely break the high E. It wouldn't really matter except for snapping a string changes the tension and has a tendency to knock the guitar out of tune.
4:12 giant penis is my best guess. Like fuck it, strings are broken. I am on stage, I just don't care (flashes crowd) (Applause) Show goes on. In reality there is just a high level of skill that allows him to play on, most notes can be hit on a few strings, just that it is silly to still sound so good
The smoothest guitar switch you're ever going to see.
Yeah ROCK N ROLL 😎 X
Stevie can rock Mary Had A Little Lamb 🐑
And he didn't miss a note!!!.
Yeah the key to a flawless guitar change like that is the callaber of your Roadies
If you think the piano player was next level in this song listen to him play the organ and Mary Had a Little Lamb! It will blow you away!
Just bask in the glow of the greatness that IS Stevie Ray Vaughan! Soak in the "Rays."
He had the best guitar tech in the game too, Rene Martinez.
Absolutely the very best 👌 Dallas TX baby ❤
The GOAT ! Plain and Simple !!
SRV is the GOAT
You have beautiful eyes, my friend.
You don't sweat the little things as you give the audience what they paid for. It is called professionalism. Very, very glad you have discovered a talent that we've known for forty plus years.
Thank you for saying that this is real music man I grew up on this music man he can play that guitar
Really enjoyed you enjoying Stevie ( :
So absolutely elated in your reaction and commentary you share with everyone out here!!!! You’ve got to react to Stevie and Jeff Healy (amazing guitarist that played all through the movie “Roadhouse” it’ll blow you away!!!! Thanks for the reactions
Godbless!!!!
Royal music Raw Talent what else can I say he's the best
Stevey at is youthfull ness Pure!
Reese Wynans, the pianist, is still playing for Joe Bonamassa. Try their video of "Going Down".
Love the reaction great to see younger people appreciating Stevie Ray I saw him and the band live in Sydney Australia 1986 .
Pianist's name is Reese Wynans, he actually came out with his debut solo album in 2019 at the age of 71.
WE LOVE YOU REESE WYNANS!!!❤️🎹❤️
Reese definitely “rocks” He’s CRAZY great!!!!!
He is one of the best!!! that is my favorite song of SRV.He will be missed.

Wait until you see Stevie play "Texas Flood Live at El Mocambo" you will be thoroughly impressed
What he dropped string gauges he broke strings and switch guitars all the time…. Look at the George bush inauguration….
Thanks, Girl! yeah -- "Go Reese Wynans! He was killah on the keys and Stevie was always generous giving credit -- now check out that string break.. and how smooth the switch is.. if you didn't see it, you'd never know, right?.. lol
SRV, the greatest guitar player to ever live, hands down! RIP Stevie, we miss you!
Near the end of his life, he had his guitar strings made from piano wire as that was the only way he could play as aggressively as he did without constantly breaking strings. The trade off was they were so strong he’d rip off the callouses on his fingers. He fixed that by just supergluing them back on.
Stevie Ray is the man. And you are not bad yourself.
That pianist plays with another incredible blues guitarist, Joe Bonamassa. Check out their version of "Going Down".
He broke a string playing so hard and still kept going, and switched out guitars without missing a beat. ;)
Stevie was the consummate musician. Great to see one of the younger generation show the appreciation this kind of talent deserves. Rock on Girl!
So true so true you and me both!!!!
Thanks for this reaction to SRV definitely one of the greats. You might want try out another version of this song where Stevie pairs up with Jeff Healey adds his guitar solo in place of the piano from this version. I think you’ll find that it’s even more of a greater blues / rock jam.

Only one example of why he is the greatest guitarist of all time.......
Stevie is the Guitar God of All!!! There's many others but STEVIE'S is incomparably the best! STEVIE YOU ARE MISSED BY ALL!!! RIP were right here with you Stevie! ✌️🎶💔
Amen James amen!!!!!❤
Stevie was truly amazing, we lost him when he was 35 years old 1990. He was the best
Double Trouble is one of the greatest backing bands of all time in my humble opinion!!!! So says Austin Tx!!!!!! 😎🍸
Woo Hoo Austin back in da day!!!! So proud to have experienced it
Austin was truly amazing thank you Lord that I was born and raised here and “lived” the music scene in 62 now AND without a doubt
Stevie will ALWAYS be my number #1

Another good song I think you would enjoy from the same concert is tight rope one of my favorite songs
Tightrope is one of stevie's best solo's, mindblowing
The goat

An epic performance by the GOAT along with other very talented musicians. Great reaction to one of my favorite SRV hits.
I saw SRV 4 times. Each time I wanted to go home and sell my guitars. An absolutely killer player.
That's SRV in total beast mode and also why he is considered one music GOAT's!
You should see the version he did with jeff healey, that would send you over the edge
Reese Wynans now plays the keys for Joe Bonamassa. Another GREAT guitarist. If you love SRV, You'll love Joe Bonamassa. And he's putting out REAL music today.
Check out Joe.

What you're listening too to is the Texas Blues from the greatest blues man of all time.
You don't make it as big as he was at the time without your whole band being a step above
i was in Texas in the 1900'2. the man anchored me to there... the Saldado- Austin avenue. Ive lived there up to now in 2023. He makes me some of how I am. Thanks.

Can you imagine what he'd be into today????? Love your channel and reactions, right on with the REAL MUSIC comment
SRV is the GOAT. But, you know, there's a lot of talent on that stage.
Do you know Stevie Ray was a self-taught, didn't read or write music, play totally by ear phenomenon? That's why he is the GOAT.
He's not dropping his pick, he's picking up a new one. He keeps them onstage
I love Reese Wynans on keyboard as much as Stevie Ray. SRV was completely self taught and was an intuitive player. One less string? No problem, just improvise on what's left!
Love your accent!
My friends and I have been listening to his music for a good 30+ years now.
I’ll never forget getting the news he died. He was and is the man
the greatist guitar player ever. he did a version of this song with jeff healey a blind guitar player , jeff is worth checking out [ as the years go passing by live at the stuttgart jazz festival ] love your reactions
Love to see young people discover real music.
You should hear The Pianist when he plays the organ! This dude is phenomenal! Also I can't remember what song it is but Stevie Ray plays with his teeth and actually breaks one of them😅
There's levels to this shit and you just hit the ceiling! SRV stood at the front of the line in my world.
G Chord banger
Look Stevie Ray's Texas Flood and it will floor you
It's blue's rock, leaning on the blue's
Just found your channel so sorry for the late comment. You need to see “Texas Flood live at El Mocambo”. Arguably, one of the best performances ever been.
You need to do his version of Texas Flood live at El Mocambo next!
The title of the song is not "Looking at Little Sister" , it's "Look at Little Sister ".

If you like that then listen to "Texas Flood"!
Please please please PLEASE react to Roadrunner by the Modern Lovers. One of the greatest rock songs ever and I can’t find a single reaction on it. YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED!
So sad that he just got sober and his helicopter crashed into the mountains shortly after this in 1990. RIP SRV
You should watch SRV's biography. VH1 aired an awesome bio on him
SRV is GOAT. FYI.
Check out Walter Trout or Kenny Wayne Shepard if you like Blues / rock guitar. Well worth a listen.
You just watched the master
He attacked the strings so savagely that he would routinely break the high E. It wouldn't really matter except for snapping a string changes the tension and has a tendency to knock the guitar out of tune.
If you like this song, then you should listen to him do this song with Jeff Healy, it will blow your mind
T MAC ROCK RAP FUSION ' ASHES ' OLDER TOM , YOU'LL LOVE IT !
04:12 Circle of fifths. Admittedly that explains the theory, but maintaining the emotion? Um,....the answer is SRV.
4:12 giant penis is my best guess. Like fuck it, strings are broken. I am on stage, I just don't care (flashes crowd) (Applause) Show goes on.
