I'm not going to lie, I a huge fan of glee but I thought they should've put her with Sam. They had chemistry, because that was Finns best friend. That storyline could've worked, then they put her with Jessy. Why?!!! I was totally thrown off by that.

Sam was actually my fav person. He always found a way to make everyone special even at the expense of himself sometimes. I reallu felt they did Sam's character dirty. How does such an almost perfect person not have at least a good endgame? He was the best at love.
One of the photo on Rachel's wall was from season 4 episode 19 when she auditioned for Funny Girl with Don't stop believing and in that photo all the original six glee club members were there when that scene was actually just a dream sequence/rachel's imagination that her friends were there performing with her lol

They weren't end-game in that kind of way. But they would've been awesome together.

And I say this because Mercedes and Rachel were starting to become friends and then she starts liking Sam as soon as Mercedes and him broke up. Even with the prom thing, he literally said she wasn’t his type. And he was able to go with Mercedes to prom. He literally said in the prom episode to Rachel “Your not my type.” How does that not tell you that he doesn’t like her when he straight up said it? And I’m season 6, he was being hypnotized by Sue. We all know there was no real feelings between them. Sam was acting like Finn and Rachel liked him because he was acting like Finn and Sam was being hypnotized.

Although I don’t think they should’ve been endgame, I do love this ship for what it was. I think out of everyone that she could’ve dated after Finn, Sam was the most emotionally mature person for Rachel. She was at her lowest mentally after Finn’s death because they both knew they were meant to be together, and she lost that when he died. Sam brought her out of her grieving process and back into the dating scene, and she needed someone emotionally mature enough to do that. While I’m saying this, they at least deserved a proper breakup, and I will forever be pissed off at the writers for not giving them that.
I literally kept on watching season 6 hoping they would be together because I actually liked them together!! I feel like when Finn died, they handed over a lot his storylines to Sam, such as teaching at McKinley and becoming coach of Glee. I can get behind those things, but they also made him Rachel’s boyfriend, and that just seemed contrived.
I would have enjoyed their relationship if they hadn't rushed it so much. Or if they hadn't tried to make Sam the new Finn. He was like Finn 2.0. Or if they didn't have Sam still mooning over Mercedes. This relationship was awful and I hated it. The writers got super lazy.

@@zariahmk The only reason Jesse became Rachel’s love interest was because Lea asked them to do that. Jonathan Groff is her best friend in real life which is the only reason he came back. The producers did whatever Lea asked. In my opinion it doesn’t make sense cause her and Jesse didn’t even have a good relationship, he treated her like crap. But I’d understand why you’d think otherwise.

Sam was not Finns best friend lmao. You could barely even consider them friends. Finn was kinda Sam’s mentor in the beginning of season 2 until he had an affair with Quinn. Then Sam hated Finn for a few episodes. After that scene in 2x19, they never had a one on one scene after that. Why are y’all saying Sam and Finn were best friends when they were nowhere near best friends? Finn and Marley were more friends than him and Sam and Marley came in season 4. Plus, why are you saying they made sense based off who was close with Finn or not. Neither Jesse or Sam were close to Finn, but Jesse made more sense as Rachel’s endgame. Sam and Rachel made no sense at all. All of a sudden in season 6, Rachel out of nowhere likes Sam and vise versa. They have shown no interest in each other before. They had no similar interests. They literally tried making Sam into Finn in season 6. This scene proves it. Sam is trying to give Rachel a whole pep talk about New York when he doesn’t even know anything about Broadway. That’s something Finn would do. Samchel is the dumbest ship. Kurt and Sebastian woudl make more sense than those two and that says a lot.
I honestly think they aren’t a good “couple”. Before season 5, Rachel and Sam only interacted probably once. They have do chemistry at all. I’m glad they weren’t endgame. But I also didn’t want Rachel to end up with Jesse.
omg i cant believe these comments, i hated sam and rachel since it started, this might he the most random and dumb pairing ever. like yeah they have chemistry but sam has chemistry with pretty much anyone he talks to. i don’t think she should’ve ended up with jessie but i liked that ending wayyyy more than this relationship
