They were INTENT on doing my girl Mercedes dirty. They made her crush on a gay boy, nuked her relationship with Sam and made her date the footballer no one cared about just so we didn't get to explore her romance. They made Mercedes lazy and fat one time as a plot point. And in the beginning they gave her terrible hair and clothes.

@@achieachie911 is just so obvious now, any character that outshined Rachel was let in the shadows but Mercedes was the best example, so talented but they kept doing their mental gymnastics and drastically change some plot lines just to give some sense as to why Rachel was better. I did like her outfits and hair in season 1 I though she looked cute and pretty haha

The fact that Sam was still in love with Mercedes in S6, but they literally gave him to Penny Loafers pisses me off. The final episode we were hinted at them still talking when Mercedes said Sam was still texting her plus RIB deleted a Samcedes scene!!!! Whyyyy? Even at the Pailey Fest L*a Michelle even said Samcedes had a scene and they took it away from us. They truly dropped the ball on Mercedes storylines, Sam’s storyline, and a Samcedes endgame. They really had something against non toxic friendships (all of Mercedes friendships) and mature relationships.

They should have had more duets together. Their rendition of “Human Nature” was really good. Next to Brittana and Finchel, they were one of my favorite couples in Glee.

It was such a slap in the fucking face when they decided to let Rachel and Sam of all people date, like Samcedes was the only real couple (aside from Brittana) who worked out their issues and became better in the end. Like what were they thinking with that?!
It sometimes feels like the producers/writers hated Mercedes or something, because not only did they take Sam from her. They took Kurt, then Santana, and then Quinn. What's up with that? Why couldn't they have her have SOMETHING...literally, ANYTHING!? Everything she had, was then handed to Rachel like nothing.

In my mind they continue being "friends" but being really close and invested in each others lives. Sam goes back to school and full on becomes a special ed teacher while also being a music teacher. 2 years after the last glee episode Mercedes wins her first grammy and on that same night in front of all of their friends at the celebration party he proposes. They are currently married with 4 kids, 2 boys and 2 girls... I had a little too much time today.

There difference between Receiving flirt and flirt with someone. If Kurt didn't show to Blaine it's because, Blaine couldn't understand. Take Karofsky with Blaine : Blaine don't want Karofsky knowing he will sing with Kurt at Rachel party because of all the drama who Can happens........

at first I didn't really liked them together bc the show didn't build anything they just started the couple saying they had something over the summer. I love them now and watching this again really shows how they should have been endgame
Can we also talk about the fact that the writers really tried to frame Sam as a cheater after he get sexually assaulted? This would’ve been an interesting plot to dive deep into since Sam had expressed previous ignorance to the topic of male survivors, and it’s absolutely ridiculous why we never got to spend more time with him after it happened and how he coped with it. Say what you want, but it kills me how Sam just told Mercedes “yeah, I just cheated” and it was left at that. No further discussion was seen, no comfort, no justice, no resolution or apology with Ryder about what Sam had told him previously. Nothing. Ridiculous.
This would’ve been a great plot line as well so we could see Mercedes actually supporting Sam for once. We never spent much time with them in general, but when we did, Sam was usually the one comforting and complimenting her. We never saw much of Mercedes reciprocating the love and she usually nagged or acted cold towards him due to his immaturity. That’s all well and good if it works for their relationship, but this would have been key to explore how much Mercedes loved Sam if she was helping him through his trauma of the assault and was the one to comfort him. This storyline could’ve easily replaced the stupid Samchel plot that didn’t need to take place along with many other things that happened in the show.
Edit: also, Sam’s tragic dye job shall not be discussed. Thank you.

He was literally a different person (in a good way) when he was with Mercedes and they complimented each other. Te reason for breaking up was dumb.
The writers ruined these two. R-U-I-N-E-D them. They made Sam an oblivious idiot who shamed his friends for being sexually assaulted, not wanting to wear a revealing outfit, and for being ugly? (When he implied that he was doing a favour for Tina by going with her to prom) while never learning his lesson. This is only reaffirmed later when he gets sexually assaulted by his photographer and he tells Mercedes he cheated on her when that was never the case.
Honestly, the old Sam would have never been as openly malicious as he was in the later seasons, especially towards his friends. Then the writers forced this out of place interracial dating plot where Mercedes broke up with Sam because they were different races, and it was in the most lazy and contrived way that made absolutely no sense and was not in character for her. After that, the writers had the *nerve* to make Rachel get with Sam. Why does every one of Mercedes’ relationships get ruined in favour of Rachel? Kurt, Quinn, Sam etc. All of them had strong bonds with Mercedes and then suddenly went off to befriend Rachel. What the actual-

Rewatching glee made me soo mad.. just gonna watch till season 3 then skip season 4 watch some season 5. And just the last episode of season 6 bcos samchel made me literally threw up in my mouth. Like the writers made sam a backup for finn?? Wtf?! He was his own character and sam who was so sweet, supporting and funny had to 'replaced ' finn in season 6 like wtf?? The being a teacher was finn not sam. And the finale peopleee!!! In the script the writers wrote that sam and mercedes got back together after he asked her for dinner and she accepted and he told mr shue that he and mercedes are ready to get back together and settle down but they just didnt shoot it. So at least they are canon. I just placate my heart with that fact and read a lot of fanfiction.

Also, imagine the look on her face on their wedding day, in her white dress, walking down the aisle, and the look on Sam's face as he sees her move slowly towards him like the beautiful angel he always knew she was.
