Thanks so much for watching! Let me know some of your favorite moments from Jackie Chan Adventures as well as some of your favorite Jackie Chan movies!
I liked the Godzilla/King Kong like scale and action in “Little Valmont, Big Jade”. There is an irony when someone as small and short as Jade becomes large and in charge.
Long time no see, Jordan! I am looking forward to you doing more of WAIT...Remember: Skunk Fu! World of Quest Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot Redwall The Ripping Friends Kong: The Animated Series
I feel like people today would complain about Uncle being a stereotype but as a Chinese guy myself i still find Uncle hilarious and one of the best characters in the show. Michael Christopher Jelenic. Storyboard artist later turned writer for Jacki Chan Adventures. The Super Mario Bros movie was his directorial debut. He also had a hand in making Batman: The Brave and the Bold. And the 2011 Thundercats shows.
I was a fan of Jackie Chan long before the show but this is a core part of my childhood and I loved every bit of it. Pokemon, Yugioh, Static Shock and Jackie Chan Adventures were the shows I would always get up early on Saturday every week to see without fail. Honestly might get the Talismans for my birthday next year.
Same! At first I only watched Jackie Chan Adventures because it was on after Pokemon; I thought they'd probably just try to bank on Chan's name, and it wouldn't be any good. But I ended up loving the characters, the voice acting was great, and it was funny as hell! Even though the story revolved around finding mcguffins, most every episode was interesting. Lol, I love when they're at the chocolate factory, and Jackie gets excited in the middle of a fight because he realizes that the pig talisman was the original owner's secret way of melting the chocolate.
It's easily one of the most underrated shows. Loved this show growing up, and more people definitely need to watch. Much like static shock, this needs more love.
Good god I've watched static every couple years since I was 12(33 now). Such an incredible show and always good morals. In an area that is gang filled. Nothing could be better for kids to watch!!!
Thanks for this comment. Still remember Static Shock, Batman Beyod, Project Zeta, and late at night after the adults went to sleep, my cousins and I would go to the TV and on Disney to watch Gargoyles. Which we weren't allowed to watch it yet... because of the dark themes, but it was sooo much fun to see another type of media.
The banter between Uncle and Toru's mother had me dead. Uncle's character was like if Iroh from ATLA reached a tipping point and finally snapped. He had periods of calm where he displayed great wisdom, but they were constantly interrupted by bursts of energy and irritation at things happening around him. This show was one of my favorite, if not my favorite, shows on WB when I was a kid, full stop. It really captured what it felt like to watch Jackie Chan's movies, almost like a living comic book.
Saw the show a few months ago. Still holds up on how funny it can be and uncle's jabs at jackie. Same with how it and xiolin showdown had similar hilarious made up fighting styles
"I'm sorry, I'll pay for these later, thank you!" How can I not remember Jackie Chan Adventures? It was my first introduction to Jackie Chan and his many stunts. :)
I still feel so dumb for having watched so many Jackie Chan movies after seeing the show and not realizing it wasn't him voicing himself in the series lmao
I loved the end credits where Jackie answered questions from kids if you went to the website on WB. He answered one of mine and I was giddy. Still a happy core memory for me.
The part where you talked about how cool it is when kids media can show off different cultures meant a lot. This show was my introduction to the Chinese zodiac. 😅 (Also that shot of Shendu coming to "life" after collecting all the talismans for the first time had always stuck with me.) Great video as usual!
Literally it’s been 9 MONTHS since you last did a "Wait Renember……X Series” video. And *ONE MORE THING!* Glad to see you haven’t abandoned the video series.
My dad loves Jackie Chan so I was already familiar by the time the show came out and I hugely agree that they were able to translate his action comedy perfectly into animated form! I loved this show so much!
I absolutely love Jackie Chan Adventures! Wish the whole series was available on DVD but only the complete second season has been released. It’s so weird that they only released season two! Thanks for bringing back such great memories! This cartoon will always have a special place in my heart!
I was just about to comment on the fact that you already covered this show and that was when the video mentioned you covered this show 3 years ago and just wanted to make a better one since it got blocked. That’s hilarious timing 😂
One more thing. Bad day bad day bad day!!! Ayyyahhh! You must not question Uncle. Only magic can defeat magic. Yu Mo Gui Gwai Fai Di Zao. El Toro Fuerte never removes his mask.
I remember watching Jackie Chan Adventures as a kid. It was a fun, imaginative show. Should definitely give it a rewatch soon, especially with its 25th anniversary next year.
It's great to you see you back with more reviews! I always love seeing Jackie Chan Adventures as a kid and appreciated the stories, quotes, and characters!
The various chi powers of the Dragons in the 5th season are related to the elements from the trigrams Bagua; with mountain being "big" and swamp/lake being "gravity".
I remember reading in a minizine once that Jackie Chan really loves Dragon Ball, and so the cartoon's collectathon storylines were loosely based in that "gotta get the whole set" idea of pre-Z Dragon Ball.
I only knew about Jakie Chan via the show, my dad was so surprised to see him as a cartoon he sat down and saw it with me! He loved Jakies movies but i had just been too young to watch any of the movies - I never saw the whole show though as i could only see it when visiting my dad every other weekend.. I should go back and watch it again, i remember loving it!
Honestly a life changing show for me. I started kempo karate as a kid cuzz of this series (and dragon ball) and I still practice martial arts to this day. Mostly Kung Fu, the style Jackie practiced.
I'm gonna make a bold statement regarding this show expanding our worldview on Chinese folklore: Black Myth Wukong is this generation's JCA in its effect on getting people to learn so much more about Chinese myth.
Loves this show! I still quote things from it: "One more thing!" Then Jackie had said "No! No more things!" 😂 there was an episode when the villain was called "Lo pei" & 1 of the three underlines said: "His name is Low pay like my paycheck. Get it?"🤣🤣🤣 Thank you for making this video Jordan! Reliving childhood memories! ^__^
I love Jackie Chan. My childhood was filled with him and Adam Sandler. I use to run home from school to watch the after school episodes of JCA. When I would stay with my granny, we watched old Jackie Chan movies. Jackie Chan is a legend and inspiration.I saw this video and was like "Didn't he already make this? Screw it, it's Jordan and Jackie, I'm down." I'm excited that it's a totally new video.
Me and one of my buddies have been talking about this show a couple of times over the last couple of weeks. Absolutely loved it growing up. This, and the video game he put out when I was a kid, which was also a ton of fun
I was a huge Jackie Chan fan growing up thanks to watching a lot of his movies with my grandparents, so I absolutely watched this show as a kid and have a lot of fond memories of it. It's honestly been sitting on my list of old shows to rewatch along with Teen Titans and Batman, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Really glad to see it get some love and attention, because basically no one I know ever watched it for some reason.
I rewatched this series about 2 years ago and when I finished it I had a feeling of, "It feels like they always wanted to do more but just either couldn't or didn't." Like the episode counts weren't enough for everything they wanted to do. For example: Shendu's Demon Family with most of them being defeated in a singular episode most of the time. It felt like there was a lot more they could've done but just didn't and the pacing to me seemed off. The show is still honestly great and entertaining but it continually felt like *more* was supposed to happen each episode. That said, it still shocks me how much they were able to get away saying the word "Demon" in the show, especially on KidsWB. Most of the time that word might get used once or twice a season and the rest of the time replaced with the word "Monster" but here they were saying it pretty regularly anytime an actual Demon was involved. lol
I enjoyed watching this as a kid. I always loved his moves growing up. His fighting style and using his surroundings always brought something fresh. I need to rewatched this series in its entirety. Never finished it when I was younger.
I remember jackie running on top of the train to not fall into the cliff while the minions were watching in shocked amazement. Then once he makes the last jump to safety, one of the minions said "There's no way he's human."
This show was so influential on my childhood. It was part of the reason i grew up with a huge fascination with Chinese culture. I still regularly rewatch this show to this day. Love to see it get more recognition
"The chinese word troublemaker is...." [Show clips of jade] "Maafaanyo..." [more clips of jade] "Or Jade for short." I'm mad I still remember that clip in between commericals
Just watching the silent clips in this made me remember so many great lines from the characters. This show was amazing. I need to rewatch this sometime.
I live in North Africa, and this shows goes way back in the early 2010s when I watched it on MBC 3. It was dubbed to Arabic and I really enjoyed seeing the new powers and thend segments that IRL Jackie Chan talked to the audience.

I'm so happy you redid this one, especially because it is now in the remember series instead of your older series. Oh, and one more thing, if you want to see if Sony will let you discuss every episode, I would totally be ready for that.
Oh I absolutely remember when this show premiered on cartoon network, they had been building it up with vignettes. The animation style especially the backgrounds, was so fresh and colorful. They brilliantly added mystical elements to a story that could have been bland. Great show!

Sure do remember, just rewatched it last year. Sadly there is a decline in quality mid way through season 4. That episode when they turn into kids was torture. Lowest point of the series.

Don't just look up how stunts the man has done, look up all the times they went wrong. That man went through a lot. Grew up watching his movies & this gem along with plenty others that kids now days will miss unless they get lucky with an old rerun. Used to even have the talismans they sold as toys for the show.
One of the best shows back then and the RL parts at the end of every episode where a real highlight for me because I was a big jackie Chan fan even before the show droped. Need to watch all the episodes again somewhere.

We used to quote this daily at my old job!
Uncle's "aya!" became a permanent and involuntary part of my vocabulary. See a bug, get cut off in traffic, stub your toe? Aya!
Hah, same here.
Same 😂😂😂😂😂
I say it every time I get a pinched nerve in my shoulder/neck. I inhale and that's the word that comes out. It's not up to me. Surprise+pain= aya
Much of Uncle's catchphrase repertoire has become common lingo for me. "One more thing!"
@@comettamersame! “Do you want uncle to get in trouble? Nooo? Then go upstairs and brush teeth!” I do that to my nieces and nephews when I spend the weekend with them 😂
Uncle is one of my favorite characters in cartoons. I’m a deaf person, and he always said “you’re handicapable!” Was so nice to hear (no pun intended)
I always loved this show. It was my intro to Jackie Chan.
Rest in peace Julian Sands (voice actor of Valmont)
Damn shame how he died. Be careful hiking out there people.
Fun fact: One of the storyboard directors of this show would later direct the Illumination’s Super Mario Bros. movie
