- In today's video we test our mechanic skills as we removed the transmission and replace a worn clutch on a 2002 Audi TT convertible. Overall the job went very smooth and only took us about 6 hours to complete the project. Please leave any comments or questions in the comments below.

I guess we accomplished more than we had planned.
Looks like a FWD model not a Quattro since you have to remove the transfer case or Haldex from the transmission and driveshaft first before removing the transmission from the engine
Yes, this was a front wheel drive.

I have automatic fwd TT would it be the same process if I was to swap for manual transmission?
I personally have never done a transmission swap from auto to manual but it should be the same once you get the new transmission in as this one.
Clyde's Creations oh okay the one I have is an 03’ so I’m guessing it’s the same set up I know I have to add the clutch pedal, I just wanted to know if the manual transmission would fit right in to the engine
@@danielsalas5257 that I'm not sure on but I'd imagine they are the same connection to the engine.

Honest feedback, useless video. Very little work is actually visible. No explanation on what you're doing or anything. The music is also way too loud and annoying.the camera angles don't even let you see what you're actually getting at when you're working. Thanks for the effort but would not sub.
I appreciate the feedback. This video wasn't created to be a step by step tutorial, I think the title was just poorly done.
One question? What was the point of that?
The point was to have fun and get practice creating videos, and both were successful
@@StubbornSurvival ok, I didn't notice the full title 'Not Tutorial' but am not sure what your definition of successful is but it was a poor experience for myself.
What tool did you use for to get the bolts around the clutch plate
It's been a while since we did this project but if they are the special vw/audio hardware they are watch they call a triple square or twelve point which are similar looking to a torx head bolt.
