- One of the biggest bands in metalcore today, Motionless in White infuses heavy riffs and grooves with industrial and electronic elements, larger-than-life choruses, and cinematic flair. While their first album "Creatures" was a pretty straight-ahead metalcore record with plenty of guitar riffs leading the way, over the years they have gravitated toward simpler and more vocal-centric arrangements. There are still some riffs to be found, but do you think they have gotten better or worse? As always, you be the judge!

Creatures will always be my favorite MIW album. So nostalgic and it still rips a decade later.
Unexpected, but sick - as always. Riff wise I give it to Creatures. As far as creativity/different sounding songs, I give STEOTW.
I agree. Creatures seems like it's got way more intricate lead lines but the album blends together really really hard

I've been getting into MIW recently and tbh I'm more of a metalcore guy but I still really enjoy their music.
Which genre do you consider them then? I’ve been a fan since their first album so they always just sound like different flavors of metal-core to me.
Miw make metalcore but tbf a lot of their songs recently are more radio rock.

no hate to current miw but man creatures had actual sick riffs through the whole album, from graveyard shift onward it's mostly chorus centric and feels pretty soulless
Don't even know the bands you cover..I'm more BM, but I do enjoy a lot of these stripped back riffs without the vocals ⚡

Creatures really takes me back to high school. I stopped listening to these guys after this one album. I really liked their metalcore sound

2010 theres much more melody and depth to their riffs i dislike that now their newer riffs are mostly like drop f# plus whatever power chord nonsense
