    In this video I get winded trying to replace the rear lower control arms on my 2020 Ram Rebel with new fixed length arms from Core 4x4.
    These control arms look great and should provide a much more rigid hold on the axle limiting wheel hop.
    Here is a link to the control arms: www.core4x4.co...

    Not to be "that guy" but I'd definately leave everything loose until you put it on the ground, cycle the suspension a few times and then torque at ride heighth. I was a Dodge/Ram dealership tech for over five years. I was in the industry for over seven. Just my $0.02. Keeps everything from binding and unnecessary forces on the bushings. That's all. Love the videos. I have a 2019 Ram Rebel.

      Thanks for the comment! I haven’t noticed any issues after torquing everything down “in the air” but a good note. I was concerned about bolts binding if I added tensions to the joint.

      With how you jacked it up, I suspect your suspension was pretty dang close to, if not right at, ride height, so I’m sure it is probably all good and won’t make a difference.

      @@1familyxj Yep, I think the truck lifted maybe 1/2" at most when I adding the jack so you're probably right, I wasn't close to binding.

    Impact wrench was all i needed. Didn't have to lift the truck. Just went as easy as you could expect

    what are the different tiers? awesome videos. think I have started to binge watch them. lol

    • @WaterFowler41
      @WaterFowler41  3 роки тому +1

      The different tiers refer to the types on available end joints on the bars. Tier 1 uses a basic poly joint while tier 3 uses a Johnny joint

    Presume these are the tier 3 units? Also, are you going to do the Core 4x4 panhard bar?

    • @WaterFowler41
      @WaterFowler41  4 роки тому +1

      Yup and as far as next piece. I want to complete the control arms and get the uppers next, then the panhard.

      @@WaterFowler41 I think those are the tier 1 adjustable ones. Rear end is going to be solid with upper ones too!

    • @WaterFowler41
      @WaterFowler41  3 роки тому

      @@UaeDelta definitely not a tier 1 because it has a welded johnny joint at one end. The tier 1 uses poly at both ends. It’s fixed so honestly I’m not sure what tier it truly is lol
      Just received my uppers last night, pumped to get those installed.

    I’m new to trucks what is the added benefit of installing these? Also the uppers?

    • @WaterFowler41
      @WaterFowler41  Рік тому

      Stiffer than the factory control arms which ultimately helps with preventing wheel hop.

  • @tfitz44
    @tfitz44 3 роки тому

    So by doing these types of rear suspension upgrades, it doesn’t void the factory warranty?

    • @WaterFowler41
      @WaterFowler41  3 роки тому +1

      Warranty is not an all or nothing. This will only void some of your suspension warranty if they are the root cause of any issue. These are well made and far better than factory so they will not cause any issues and just them being installed on your truck should never impact warranty coverage.
