Hello I am thanking you for ur channel... Big Time!!!
I just bought two of the Ecoflow Delta pros and I know which 8 (100watt) panels to get however I need help on the wiring.
I have a converted 14 foot long cargo trailer and I plan on putting my batteries of course inside.
I need to know what extra wires i need what size wires and how long to reach inside my cargo camper??? I have tried calling ecoflow twice this week to ask them but of course no one has helped me. Do I need to buy fuses?? Do I need to buy MC4 cables bc their solar panels I am looking at doesn't say but would it be safe to say they will already be coming with my solar??? I am not even sure if I am asking u the correct questions??? HELP!!!😂
All I know is that I am a virgin to solar but I am learning. I just want to get my panels hooked to my two Delta pros. Thank you

Greetings and salutations - I am wondering if it would be more advantageous to have two Deltra PRO instead of a Delta Pro and an extra battery. Since we really can't use that extra battery to charge or anything. Sort of daisy chain them perhapps using the DC output to charge the other unit. Thoughts?

Our family just purchased the Delta Pro through their program! Thank you for your awesome reviews on it! We have a camp in the mountains in Vermont on a class 4 road! Since the 70s, we use a generator to have lights and use out power tools/ equipment! My uncle comes up a couple times a year and has to have our generator on through the night for his Sleep apnea machine. With the price of gas it’s really expensive to fill out 5500 watt generator every 2 days! This machine will pay for itself for the amount of gas we purchase for a whole year! Looking forward to using it when it arrives in the fall! Thanks for your channel.. you have a new sub!

A number of misleading descriptions, as is so common, by a person who knows a bit about a product but not enough. The UPS description is poor. The unit has an 'EPS' mode, it does not pretend to be UPS. When you have it plugged into the wall, the internal inverter is running but not outputting, and the unit is in pass through so giving you power from the wall, not the battery. When the wall is switched off, it then switches over internally to the battery powered inverter. It is no good for UPS because its switchover is slow, potentially out of phase and 'clunky'. I don't think he even mentions that the reason it is so heavy is because of the LFP battery chemistry used compared to, e.g. NMC (and discuss the differences). Does he test the MPPT at all?

Something important I think you mentioned is weight. I backed this. I have a few power stations in the 1000-2000 watt range - Suaoki G1000, Leoch, Ecoflow Delta, etc. was recently doing a power cycle of a few of them and the weight point really was noticeable. Meaning, I’m more inclined to grab the lighter ones and use them unless I absolutely have no choice.
As mine are mainly for disaster preparedness purposes it’s generally less of an issue for me personally but damn it’s noticeable. I don’t see myself hauling this thing to my car to EV charge it unless I really make some huge strides at the gym.

Hi Tom, really appreciate your interest and work around informing us all out here on the products, performance and nuances of solar generators and panels. Been hanging with you on youtube for years now. Hasn't the portable solar world progressed quickly in efficiency over this time. Your reviews and advice to manufacturers certainly have had an impact on this. .and geez, having lived around the world, I so appreciate your sense of humour with life. Would love to sit down for a cuppa and a chat with you sometime. Never know if paths may cross. Tom, you have probably already received emails on this but was looking at the new Bouge rv 716 power generator. It looks good for a reasonable price. Also looking at the new inergy Flex. Big enough for good energy and small enough to be quite portable, even for a woman to move around. . Wondering if you will you be doing your hobo madman testing and review with the new Bouge rv 716 station? I know you get busy. I think a lot of us would appreciate if you can cut out some time. Thank you for everything. I have made a number of great purchases over the years (and stayed away from some less efficient models) from your reviews. Thanx man. You helped me to get into solar. Your channel has been a real favorite of mine (yes, I've subscribed). Your method of evaluating products is very straight forward and you explain things for those non-electrical engineer types; much appreciated. Your sense of humor at times has me belly-laughing at that is appreciated too. I love your professional approach to things and thought provoking considerations for homeowners. I will check out your storefront, even though I'm not a big fan of the small business bezos killing machine. To get 120V you need to buy a step down transformer with the Watts rating double of what you are going to be drawing constantly. If you want to charge the Ecoflow Delta you would need a 4000W minimum rating step down transformer because the Delta charges at 1800W.

The 12v output voltage drop that you are getting while testing is because you don't have a separate voltage sensing line. Can you try either have a parallel voltage sensing line into the tool or measure the voltage at the source with a voltmeter?

@@HOBOTECH Yes, I saw that. I was thinking with this tech review, that in your dislikes, you mention the weight being cumbersome but didn't mention that it is easily movable despite the weight due to the convenient stowaway handle. That was all. If one did not see the first video they might think that the Ecoflow would have to be carried everywhere. I am comparing this Pro to my 3500watt Champion duel fuel inverter generator. About the same weight, can power most of the same devices, has a stowaway handle and wheels, has more features, outputs, is more compact, no maintenance, no engine/exhaust noise/odor. Can operate in the house and now with LiFePo4 batteries. I am at the point that I am now experiencing hesitation from purchasing these devices because of how rapidly newer and better, more powerful, although more expensive, backups are coming onto the market. Good review.

Only with AC power because it has a bypass relay which skips the battery and allows the power to flow right through the Delta without touching the battery. If your unit is at 100% and you have solar hooked up it will perform like all solar generator by using pass through.

Appear to have that two prong (with mini contacts) as input.

I know they have wheels and not to bad on smooth surfaces to move, but was thinking if someone not strong enough (Aunt Betty say) needs to move it to Mom's house in back, is that an option ?, Also I'm thinking my daily Solar input from my roof being so much would supply an efficient amount to charge at least one of these in a day easily ?, I guess I'd have to see how efficient my Inverter is doing or if my PG&E meter is running backward.

Hey Tom, your videos are great. Watched nearly all of them at this point. I'm about to travel cross country and can't decide between the Ecoflow Delta Pro and the Bluetti AC300. I need to boondock in a smaller Tab 400 camper for a week at a time. The camper has 200 Watts of solar limited by a built in 200 watt controller with 2 AGM batteries and a 1200 watt inverter.
The two things that I'm not clear on between these two based on your great reviews are:
Does the Anderson outlet on the Ecoflow make it much easier to tie the external solar system into the campers existing power/batteries? I'm looking to be as internal to the camper as possible when it's not solar charging. The Bluetti doesn't have this option?
Can the Ecoflow really seriously power a small camper with minimal things on if the 30 amp plug really isn't 30 amps? Does the Bluetti have the advantage here?
Thanks! I'll be sure to buy through your links, if you can help me decide.

The RFI noise test was not thorough enough and as such a bit misleading. I would suggest at least hooking a guitar or instrument cable to the amp input. Without a guitar cable connected the input jack is grounded to prevent AC noise and hum. For ham radio RFI testing you really need a radio with antenna connected and tune around the bands to check for noise. If you don't have ham or shortwave radio you could do a simple test with a portable AM broadcast radio. AC inverters are notorious for creating RF interference. Some manufactures are aware of this and take great measures to properly filter the outputs of their inverters. This costs money. Some cheaper brands simply don't care. As a ham radio operator I have spent considerable time and effort over the years tracking down and fixing RFI problems related to consumer electronics, HVAC and inverter systems. It's a constant battle with today's electronics ! Thanks for your review.
