Pilots would pull up on the stick but plane aimed itself at the ground. The old movies of pilots wrestling the stick is past. Now they fly (and wreck) themselves regardless of input. I've had our teslas do some crazy sh--- glad I could override things manually. Sorry for the rant, love the automatic features, also love to turn them off and drive.

I love the CyberTruck, great presentation. Tesla should build a sedan version (Model 3 size) of the CyberTruck and call it the CyberSedan. Exactly the same dimensions and shape, but sized down. A whole range of Cyber-Somethings.
They should have just not shown the glass part. For anyone wondering, the original car COULD actually survive if they didn't hit it with the hammer first, but now the glass isn't actually bulletproof. It's promised in some other upgrade that costs more, but then the windows don't roll down (looks like they figured out how it works properly, otherwise it's immediately useless if the glass gets weakened from a bullet to the steel.)
No, you didn't. They had it set to private when it was live. I know because I found the link on a playlist and bookmarked it, but then it was changed to private about a day or so before the event and I had to watch it on X.

The Cybertruck has delivered on the fundamentals of what was promised, but half or more of the functionality features demonstrated in 2019 are not present on the truck. Stuff like the built in trailer ramp absolutely needs to make a comeback. The truck will obviously continue to innovate & add new features as the years go on thought, so hopefully one day we get a product that actually delivers on every single thing demoed in 2019.

The truck is incredible, about to buy my second X (appreciate the price drop & free color upgrade & FSD transfer from our S P100D) that helped make a $1,500 /m car with these rates work for me. It's a great e-vehicle with more power than any prior car. But it's not a flying car. It's not using a fusion power generator. It's not anti-gravity. It's not got revolutionary battery technology that would eliminate frequent charging. It's not revolutionary in the sense that the aeroplane was, or the first car, or the first space rocket, or the first electrical motor. That kind of revolutionary products have really slowed down in later decades. We hardly see it nowadays. We see incremental improvements. I like it. I'm just surprised people are SO hyped as if it's some "future tech" revolution. It really isnt. You're expecting too little. Incremental improvements. Nothing truly revolutionary. "But this car is X Y Z, it can do Z Y X that others cant do." I know. It's an incredible car. But its not revolutionary. It does what other vehicles did, but better. It's not Optimus. Or Neurallink. THAT will be the truly revolutionary product, if Tesla can pull it off (with close-enough AGI that it's adaptable enough to be useful in daily life). The Cybertruck isnt revolutionary. It's a great car. So those "experts" who said the Cybertruck couldnt be done, are showing enormous lack of vision and imagination.. That's very dangerous for our future trajectory in terms of tech innovation. If our "experts" are THIS narrowminded, that they couldnt even envision the Cybertruck becoming a reality.. I'm glad Tesla and SpaceX exists, to bring tech innovation back to what it SHOULD be. Doing things because they are hard, not listening to "it cant be done".
It’s revolutionary in the sense that, up until the Cybertruck, no other car had drive-by-wire. You can bet money that now we will start to see other car companies copy Tesla on this. Same goes for the switch to 48v. Never done before on a production car. What others copy this from now on. Both of those things are revolutionary within the automotive industry.

It's not revolutionary in the sense that the aeroplane was, or the first car, or the first space rocket, or the first electrical motor.
That kind of revolutionary products have really slowed down in later decades. We hardly see it nowadays. We see incremental improvements.
I like it. I'm just surprised people are SO hyped as if it's some "future tech" revolution.
It really isnt. You're expecting too little.
Incremental improvements. Nothing truly revolutionary.
"But this car is X Y Z, it can do Z Y X that others cant do."
I know. It's an incredible car.
But its not revolutionary. It does what other vehicles did, but better.
It's not Optimus. Or Neurallink.
THAT will be the truly revolutionary product, if Tesla can pull it off (with close-enough AGI that it's adaptable enough to be useful in daily life).
The Cybertruck isnt revolutionary. It's a great car.
So those "experts" who said the Cybertruck couldnt be done, are showing enormous lack of vision and imagination..
That's very dangerous for our future trajectory in terms of tech innovation.
If our "experts" are THIS narrowminded, that they couldnt even envision the Cybertruck becoming a reality..
I'm glad Tesla and SpaceX exists, to bring tech innovation back to what it SHOULD be.
Doing things because they are hard, not listening to "it cant be done".

It’s revolutionary in the sense that, up until the Cybertruck, no other car had drive-by-wire. You can bet money that now we will start to see other car companies copy Tesla on this.
Same goes for the switch to 48v. Never done before on a production car. What others copy this from now on.
Both of those things are revolutionary within the automotive industry.
