Hey everyone. If you're thinking about joining the Air Force, I've put together a "Joining the Air Force Starter pack" Playlist. This will help you along your journey. Good luck. 💪 ua-cam.com/play/PLXuUcq2bb7w1FpnrFV4FC0pn57wq9uCVc.html
Oof. That’s tough. I’m not actually recruiting right now, so I don’t have access to the common jobs right now. I will say based off of my experience, you’ll always see maintenance jobs, security forces, linguist, some Intel and some computer jobs consistently. Anything else is gonna be case by case and luck of the draw.
A real mechanical engineer ? Or a mechanic? Engineering is not your technician type work you did in the military, mechanical engineering requires a bachelors degree, the degree has 5 calculus classes and 4 physics classes etc, if you are an actual engineer, how did your job experience in the navy translate into engineering.? Would you recommend choosing electronics technician for engineering in the civilian world?
@@BuyBack93 like he said, he’s a mechanical engineer, not a mechanic… yes we know that the military experience is mostly technician and maintainable but it’s valuable experience towards mechanical engineering because they teach you mechanical/electrical principles. Use that knowledge and you can earn a bachelors easier than someone out of high school and then transition into a technical role. I’d definitely recommend going an engineering route in the civilian world if it is within your qualification. They get paid way more.
@@kyleflame1249 I was asking him, and I doubt they teach engineering principles. Mechanical/electrical principles don’t necessarily make it easier to get a bachelors in engineering, knowing how to swap out an engine or wire your house doesn’t mean acquiring the engineering degree is gonna be easier for you than a high school kid. And you wouldn’t transition into a technical role with an engineering degree. Just goes to show you truly don’t understand what an engineer does. Im asking him as a mechanical engineering student myself, who is also interested in the airforce. I’m asking him to share his experience coming out of the navy as a electrical technician and what the transition was like going into mechanical engineering. How much if any did his job in the navy help with getting his degree and locking in a job as a mechanical engineer. That’s what I’m asking, as I’m looking to do the same
Great video here. I must say to everyone watching not to give up on their dreams. I finally passed my ASVAB after 5 unsuccessful attempts due to my poor knowledge in math. Thanks to Mr Smith and his excellent tutoring skills, I'm officially on deck. Never lose hope guys.
💯 agree i went from a 19 on my picat to a 73 on my 3rd time taking the asvab, I Took other tests from the evaluation to the 3 asvab test like 6 to 7 test in total increasing my score a little bit at a time, took me almost 7 months of non-stop hardcore studying no apps no entertainment. Y'all can do it all you gotta do is apply yourself!
I got 87 when I took the test at MEPS. I’m enlisting at 24. If you’re looking at jobs, the biggest advice I’ve heard is to go in with a plan. After you submit your job list, it’s out of your control what job you get. You can, however, control your job list and put jobs that would offer you good experience and are transferrable after your contract is up. I did a lot of research on jobs and am waiting to book either medical, linguist jobs, or civil engineering. Make sure you all of the jobs you list have good transferability into the civilian world and set yourself up for success.
@jayfizzle-wz9si forever wingman is a great resource for looking at AFSC’s. I recommend taking the practice as an to get a feel for the material and go from there.
Update: if there’s a job you want but isn’t often bookable at the recruiter level (making a list when monthly openings come out) I’d recommend going to basic as open. You got top priority and will probably have more selection at basic than with your recruiter. I wanted a medical job but it was hard to come by any when my recruiter gave me our squadron’s monthly openings.
@@BlameFlames I took the picat (practice ASVAB) with my recruiter to get a general sense where I would be at. After that, I tried to study some of the questions I remember. For example, I encountered questions on tools and equipment that I didn’t know. I tried to study some questions I remember from my practice test and that probably helped increase my score a little.
Finally an actual recruiter giving good information based on facts and not personal FTA or DEPer opinion and experience. One thing I would mention s only your most recent ASVAB score counts. I had a tier 1 HS grad swear he didn’t really try on his HS ASVAB and only took it to get out of class. He had a high 40s score. I let him retake it even though the last s ore was valid. He bombed. Never again.
The overall scores haven't changed a bit from the 80's. The lowest score on the ASVB that I received was a 90. What helped me back in the day was my middle school guidance counselor in the 8th grade. Before entering high school, I had to fill out a career worksheet. I put down that I wanted to serve in the military. My guidance counselor gave me study materials for the ASVAB which at the time wasn't all that very much. What I did was break it down by each individual test and went from there. I made my guidance counselor very happy with my result. At the end of my middle school days my guidance counselor gave me a sample test that most or all recruiters give to potential applicants. I made him a very happy man that day, and he said the only thing that standing in my way to join the military was four years of high school. Aim High!!!
Depends entirely on your score in the section of service your aiming for. The branches will want you for the highest scores you produce in your initial ASVAB (but retests & other considerations may be applied). Consider: Air National Guard & Air Force Reserve recruiters also. Best is active duty in an AF Reserve unit or an Air Nat'l Guard unit. 😃
You're not lying. ANG is tougher to get in than the Regulars. Back in 1982 I was investigated for running a stop sign. At least the recruiters won't screw you as you'll be coming back in a few months to say hi to them lol. Then try getting a Technician job, or AGR as you say. I did 30 years as a Technician.
The waiting until your “preferred” job is a myth. My recruiter said after my “ship by date” that I don’t have a choice for what I want but any job offer before I can decline unless I want it. Like you said it may vary though
Thank you. This is exactly the information I needed. I got a 93 on my picat and have to verify my test scores on 9/17. Super excited. I have an MBA and worked in tech/telecom... Im 35 with a whole life behind me, so I hope I can make it an get the top jobs to serve my country.
My recruiter here in Myrtle beach has brought me to your channel and I’m very excited to see where my career is heading with joining the Air Force from watching your videos alone. Very informational and very convincing as well to push for more. Only question I have is about requesting a quick ship, and that’s what is the recruiter process to getting an applicant through to deploying sooner than later? Let me know if there is a video for that so I can watch it because I’m looking to quick ship so I can get started ASAP
Hey. Thanks for watching. I wonder if I know your recruiter. 🧐 Quick ship basically means you’re willing to do any job. There are people who are leaving to basic all the time and sometimes they can’t leave. They may have gotten hurt or sick or in trouble, and now their job becomes available. If it does, and you’ve informed your recruiter you wanna quick ship, they will call you ASAP upon hearing someone couldn’t leave. They’re also expecting you to take the job that is available. So it has its pros and cons.
@@Jodywithawhy yes sir! I take my asvab on the 26th and my WK isn’t good. Been using Fernando Cardona on the math sections and he’s been helping me a lot. If I do good on MK AR and PC at least do I still have a shot of passing?
You’ll have a good shot if you’re solid on those areas. But if you’re just barely doing well on those sections, then you might struggle on the entire test. I made another video which has links for you to take practice tests at home to get a gauge on where you’re at. If that’s not enough, ask Merchant to hook you up with the PICAT test. ua-cam.com/video/RzH1gZ4GQIA/v-deo.html
Thank you sir, I've been thinking of enlisting and taking this test in the future of course. One step at a time for me but this is some great information.
@@Jodywithawhy Right on, man! Keeps my positive vibrations in check thinking about the movie haha, good catch. I've been browsing your other videos and they are SUPER helpful, thanks again!

I was able to choose my job before going to meps. I did have to wait 7 months for it to come up. I wanted anythign in the IT field, or anything that was flight staff. Scored 94 on the ASVAB. Once the 7 month wait for the job to open up came along, then I went to MEPS. When we hit Week 5 in Basic I got the same IT job that we talked about at the recruiters office. That was 1994. I did my one tour and got out. I'm still in the IT field now. Making good money and living my life. Still if I had it to do again. I would porbably have stayed active for longer and made a career of it. The IT field went up and down through the 2000's. It wasn't always great.
Good info for the newbies. I entered the AF in 1975. I scored 95 in electronics and mechanics. I had a guaranteed job (Analog Flight Simulator Specialist). However, my job choice was not available at the time so the recruiter put me in the Delayed Enlistment Program for 3 months. That way, my 8-month long tech school (Chanute) would be starting right after I graduated from basic training in Lackland. It all worked out very well. No regrets! The USAF was the right choice at the right time.
I was a Chinese cryptologic linguist in the Navy 30 years ago, and spent my career attached to an Air Force unit in Korea; my daughter is currently a Chinese cryptologic linguist in the Air Force. The Chinese Basic Course at the Defense Language Institute (DLI) is now 63 weeks of instruction. It does work out to spending two full years in training before day one of actual work as a cryptologic linguist, but a year and a half of it is spent at the Presidio of Monterey on California's Central Coast - one of the most beautiful places on Earth. The course is extremely academically challenging (lots of people fail and have to choose another job) but is accredited at 45 semester hours of college credit. A high school graduate who goes to DLI can very easily achieve an associate's degree by the time she leaves DLI, and transfer that credit to a university near her eventual duty station. Off-duty education and tuition assistance means she can complete a bachelor's degree during her first enlistment. I did 30 years ago, and used my GI Bill to go to law school. It really is the best job in the world, and the people I served with were the brightest and coolest people in the Air Force (and the Navy!). The normal job selection advice is not applicable to the cryptologic linguist job. If you want to be a cryptologic linguist and your ASVAB and Defense Language Aptitude Battery (DLAB) qualify you to go to DLI, and you don't have a criminal record or personal issues which obviously disqualify you for the security clearance, you WILL go to DLI. It's very hard for the services to find qualified candidates.
I quite literally just decided on this job. I love languages of all kinds, love learning them and have experience practicing and learning them. I hope I will make it.
@@haleyl.248 - Do you have any college credit before joining? I have some good news: The Defense Language Institute is an accredited university granting Associate of Arts and - new this year - Bachelor of Arts degrees in foreign languages. Your military service as a cryptologic linguist can earn you, without cost, a bachelor's degree in your target language. That's the best deal around. There is a rub: You must complete both the DLI Basic Course and either the DLI Intermediate or Advanced Course in the target language. Intermediate and Advanced are ordinarily available after your first duty station or in your second enlistment. Basic is accredited at 45 hours for most languages, and Advanced, at least, at 33 hours. General education requirements for the associate's degree are 18 hours, which you can satisfy with transfer credit from work you've already done, new classes at a community college or university, Advanced Placement, or DANTES/CLEP examinations available free at the education center on base. If you enter as a high school graduate with no AP credits, and no college, Basic and Intermediate/Advanced plus some CLEP exams can put you just 24 credit hours away from a bachelor's degree. You can complete 24 hours through off-duty education during your enlistment easy, especially with tuition assistance paying the freight for your classes. Now, I hate to do this to Jody, who is after all an Air Force recruiter, but I have to point out that the other services send students to DLI too. The Navy (and, I suppose, the Army, but geez - it's the Army) is offering enlistment bonuses up to $50,000 if you're shipping soon. You owe it to yourself to understand the bonuses on offer for linguists in all the services, and compare that also to lifestyle. Ultimately, it's pretty much the same because we all end up at the same four bases together. I hope you will make it too, Haley. Thank you for being willing to stand the watch.
Thanks for this video! I’m taking the ASVAB and getting my medical done on Monday and Tuesday of next week. I’m a bit nervous, but I think I’ll be fine. Keeping my fingers crossed. I’ve been using Grammar Hero and ASVAB for dummies App.
My recruiter for the Air Force seemed quite eager when I asked about the ASVAB. However, I also felt rushed during our conversation, and his response made it sound like he could care less about what job I end up with, as long as he gets me shipped out. He seemed pretty relaxed about it, saying he'd be happy as long as that happened.
I’m 20 and took my asvab about 2 months ago. I didn’t study at all for it since it was during my midterm week for college so I devoted my time to that instead. I also knew I didn’t want any mechanical or electrical jobs so I purposely didn’t try in every section that wasn’t arithmetic reasoning, Word knowledge, or paragraph comprehension since those are the ones I cared about for medical jobs. I wouldn’t say I guessed on all the other sections but I definitely didn’t take my time and didn’t care if I got a lot of questions wrong. I regret doing this since I know I could’ve gotten a much higher score if I tried and took my time. Regardless I still did fine I think. ASVAB OVERALL SCORE - 78 My line scores are - M: 77 A: 65 G: 88 E: 76 I don’t know why I didn’t do so well on the administrative side since I would assume that’s the easiest but I guess that plays into not thinking about the questions and quickly just choosing whatever answer felt right at the time I go back to MEPS tomorrow morning to swear in, I’m so excited. Can’t wait to start looking through the jobs that are available and that I qualify for 🙏
@@Jodywithawhy Thank you man, I been watching so many of your videos recently. They are all so helpful and well put together. When I got recruited in the beginning of 2020 I had to sign paperwork stating that once one of my jobs came available I had to take the one available. If I didn’t take one of the 15 listed I would be removed from the DEP. I’d agree and say waiting for a job isn’t a thing. Great content!
@@seanbrazeil6878 I just wanted to serve my country and didn’t have a particular job in mind. I’m 4 years in now and just sewed on Staff and a FCC on the C130J out of Little Rock. This helped me out alot, taking the ASVAB today. Nervous but this video and what my recruiters have told me, I have faith that I’ll do fine and with future endeavors.
Passing the ASVAB is when you study hard,if you can't study or you don't have time for your studies I'd advise you get yourself help like Captain Thomas
Just got my AFSC yesterday. My first 2 picks were available, but they pressured me to take my #5 pick instead. I score well on the ASVAB and they said they wanted to take advantage of that and give me the job that fewer people qualify for. I ship out in March to be a cryptologic language analyst
Short answer....no....but it damn sure helps and influences people's perception of you. Outside of the AFQT score, your line scores will boost your profile and everyone from your recruiter to your future senior NCO will offer you things they don't normally do for most. They try groom you for leadership.
I remember back in 1981 when I went to BMT and I think it was either day 2 or 3 I was approached by a recruiter that wanted me to change my career field. Back then he was talking about a new career field that I would be Computer Software Technician.
Didn’t study, got a 91 overall. If you’re fresh out of highschool or maybe a few years out like me it’s pretty easy. Basically an easier ACT. If you do the PICAT it’s not timed and you just have to verify your answers come MEPS.
Hey JodywithaWhy I'm 32, married with 2 kids, and I've been seriously considering joining the Air Force; however, my career gold is to become an architect. Whats the minimum score to qualify for a job in this field? Ps. Your videos are awesome and very informative. Thanks alot
Yep. Basically. You make the list. Once that list is made, the recruiters supervision is looking at the list to see what they can match you to. Then they notify your recruiter and after that your recruiter notifies you. I hope this helps.
I scored a 98 but back in the day didn't matter. They just tried to put you in any old job. They asked me what part of a plane I wanted to work on. I sat at MEPS for 2 weeks till they let me sign up for the job I wanted. I didn't have to join.
how often would you say you see Client Systems as an available job? and what is the highest possible score for the electrical section if a good score is 70?
There’s only one job that requires higher than a 70 electrical, and it’s scientific applications specialist. I believe it requires both an 85 electrical and 88 mechanical. Client systems is pretty common, but it’s also highly demanded. So it goes fast. I would recommend looking into all the AFSC’s that start with a 3D. I hope that helps.
Don't take a job you don't want as you will not be happy and cross-training is not guaranteed. I do like what Jody says about only choosing jobs you will like doing.
I lost 40 pounds to try to apply for air guard. I trying to apply for the guard as I have a full time job in information technology as a IT systems analyst. I’m trying to get in any cybersecurity related field. I take the asvab in a few days. I guess if I don’t get the score I want I’ll try again.
Hi everyone! I took the ASVAB twice already. First time i took the PICAT & made a 49, went to verify my test TWO WEEKS later & I failed because I got rolled into the real ASVAB. I passed the second time with AFQT 33 & a pretty good score in Admin. Is that a good enough score to get my foot in the door because I’m pretty scared that I would have to take it a third time. I really don’t want to😭
My son got an 86 on his ASVAB. He's a tech guy and wants to get into for Cyber Security and IT. Is the process tougher to get into? He is a member of the Air Force JROTC at his school. How can he become an Officer quicker with knowledge?
He needs to go to college IMMEDIATELY after high school. I’m an enlisted Staff Sergeant. I want to be an officer. In order for that to happen I have to have a bachelors degree (all officers need one). When I graduated high school I thought the only way to get into a college ROTC unit was to have a scholarship. That isn’t true. You can take ROTC as an elective class! After two years of college you can compete for a selection spot. If you make the cut, you’re guaranteed to become an officer after your graduate unless you decide to quit. I wish I would have done that when I graduated high school, but I just didn’t know, otherwise I would be in pilot training as an officer right now, instead of having spent the last five years as an enlisted member. Trust me, if he wants to be an officer, the quickest way to do it is go to college immediately and join the ROTC unit there, compete for a spot after two years, and he’ll be on his way!
Hmm had i known that my 98 on the ASVAB would have been weighed in the AF i might have considered it more... Did an option 19 in the Army instead. Ce la freaking vie.
First time I took my ASVAB 6 years ago nobody explained it very well and I just walked in and got a 90. I figured 6 years later I would have done worse because I haven’t been in school in a long time. Just took it and got a 94. It felt hard, but easy at the same time
Great stuff, thanks Jody. Do you know what score you need to get into healthcare related jobs like diagnostic imaging? Also, can you make a video with tips for people age 34 and up who want to join the Air Force please? Appreciate it man!
Most every medical requires a general score of 44. There are other medical careers that have higher asvab scores, but the bulk of them are a general 44. As far as making a video for older applicants, I think I can put something together. Just will have to give me some time. 💪🏽💪🏽
Not sure if you’ll see this but I’m planning on going to the service I’m 19 and waiting on my braces to come out I took the practice and scored and 53 on my first attempt. I’ve been watching your videos and I’ve enjoyed your content
What if you take the ASVAB and let's say you got a 60 but you were aiming for at least in the 70's to get the job you want. Can you re-take the ASVAB again? Or is your recruiter gonna go against it and tell you it can be risky because you can get a lower score if you re-take it?
That’s exactly what they will say. It’s very risky. I actually had an applicant who had a 68. Tried to retest for a 72 and scored a 47. Messed up everything. If you’re not in the DEP, it’s easy to retest. But if you’re sworn in, you’d have to be DEP discharged in order to retest. And that’s why recruiters don’t allow it. I hope this helps.
I made an 82, English is my second language, i have poor mechanical component knowledge, and my general science needs brushing up so i scored 79 on my M. Which gave me an 82. Otherwise I'd scored 85+. I've finished my lower division for Computer Science before taking the ASVAB and got 93 on Electronics 82+ on the other two.
Other Questions if i live in Florida it’s possible to find a job on my area where i live like in base not too fare my house as a AirForce Reserve? Thank you
My overall ASVAB score was 53. But a few of my line scores were all in the 90’s - electrical, mechanical, and clerical - I’m not sure if I should retake the ASVAB or if this is good enough for the Air Force.
Glad I joined the Army! Scored a 70 and they were the only branch that guaranteed my job as a Paralegal! Your job says more about how smart you are than the branch you’re in imo
Your in the Army. Above all you are a grunt in the Army. If paralegal is what you want then the best bet is to join the Air Force that has far superior living standards and takes care of their troops. Air Force stresses college so taking courses that lead to a future in paralegal career is your best bet.
There’s all kinds of test math in shorthand words and meanings you have to know everything and you’re timed on the test I’m glad I passed a 98% on it I have a very very high IQ I don’t forget things
Hey Jody. Are you able to give me information on joining the Air Force reserves doing the office route. Currently in nursing school and will be working on getting my bachelors. Do I still have to take the asvab? If not what process would I have to go through to join as a nurse. Please and thank you. 😊
I have a serious question… let’s say I visit my Air Force recruiter and explain to him I want to do something within the new Space Force. Then I do the ASVAB and let’s say I didn’t qualify for any Space Force job, so he gives me a few option I do qualify for. If I do not have interest in any offered jobs can I decide not to join at that point?
I have an electrical engineering & computer technology degree and I’m looking for a a career where it actually serves a purpose. I’m looking to join the Air Force
I’m watching this now because I plan on joining the Air Force but I graduated during Covid not to make excuses but I didn’t get to learn much my last couple years of high school I take my asvab test Jan 14th 2025 and I’m extremely nervous I’m hoping to land a job in maintenance and repair

For the AF Reserve you mentioned how there’s a list of jobs that are available for you to choose. Does your score determine if you can pick that job or you just pick whichever one?
You can pick what you qualify for and what’s available. Asvab and physical determine what you’re qualified for. I made this video which can give you more info. ua-cam.com/video/XsFP6ovRwCM/v-deo.html
I’m struggling with math while studying for the ASVAB and it’s very discouraging. It’s sooo hard not even funny. When I took the practice ASVAB at the recruiter I made like a 18 and it didn’t even let me finish it
I’d like to do something administrative like more paperwork than combat lol. I’m studying right now for the ASVAB. Whats the minimum score I should aim for on this test? I was thinking at least a 45-50? Please reply. Thank you sir!

I was referred to him by a friend before my exams. Please friends I recommend you to mr DAVID. The man has the key to getting your exam.I
I got a 33 on my asvab and I wanted the personnel job and my recruiter told me the same thing that they are hard to get and doesn’t come available often. I’m gonna retest in 3 months.
I actually recommend this. Or look into security forces as a career. Or you can try and wait for a personnel job to come, but you’re only allowed in the DEP for 12 months, and there’s no telling your recruiter would be able to get 1 in 12 months. That’s how rare they are. So retesting sounds like the best option here, and I never recommend retesting.
If someone is a single parent but has a care plan in place and goes reserve are they able to go active duty? If so, how long after can they change over? Also, when signing the contract is it a open contract or do you know right then what job you’re going to? Or you only know the job after basic training?

Make sure you all of the jobs you list have good transferability into the civilian world and set yourself up for success.
what did you use to study?
@jayfizzle-wz9si forever wingman is a great resource for looking at AFSC’s. I recommend taking the practice as an to get a feel for the material and go from there.
what did u use to prepare?

I’ve had that same thing happen. Lol. I stopped letting people retest after that.
Just scored an 83 on my third test and I'm off to MEPS next week! Hope I can lock in the spot for my job for the beginning of 2022.
Ayeee. Good job. Good luck throughout the process. 🤙🏽🤙🏽
What job did you want and what job did you get?
Got a 94 after studying with the Kaplan’s guide for a few weeks. Definitely opened some doors regarding job selection.

You’ll have a good shot if you’re solid on those areas. But if you’re just barely doing well on those sections, then you might struggle on the entire test.
I’m just here to hit the thumbs up.

Anyone having trouble with the asvab
Look up Mr.Andy's asvab class its been helping people study and pass the asvab.

My line scores are - M: 77 A: 65 G: 88 E: 76

He could dual enroll in college to get his credits faster to meet educational requirements

Keep doing your thing bro I swear the last active recruiter who tried to do youtube quit on me 😂😂
I’m trying. It’s easier for me being at the schoolhouse to do this. If I was out recruiting I don’t where I would’ve found the time to do this. Lol.
Aye. Who was that?? The recruiter who did UA-cam??
Your videos got a lot more effort but after you said you got more time it made sense
Thank you. I’ve actually seen his videos before. I didn’t realize he stopped. I dont personally know him, but he was good.
Remember guys if you don’t get a high score say below 40 or in my case below that security forces is constantly available 😊
What’s security forces?
Other Questions if i live in Florida it’s possible to find a job on my area where i live like in base not too fare my house as a AirForce Reserve?
Thank you
I got a 66 for asvab I didn’t study. Should I retake it after studying?
Awesome channel. You gained a subscriber
Thanks so much. Means a lot.
Ended up getting a 95 first try for a job I wanted, without studying, that required a 44, I think that’s called overkill lol
Thx man, love your vids. Very helpful
No problem. Thanks for watching
My overall ASVAB score was 53. But a few of my line scores were all in the 90’s - electrical, mechanical, and clerical - I’m not sure if I should retake the ASVAB or if this is good enough for the Air Force.
Lol same bro, you should be good for the Air Force but im trying to see if I can do any better and you should too
i have learning disabilities and struggle with tests... i fear that I would never pass this :C
I didn’t prepare, didn’t study, and I have been out of any kind of school environment for 10+ years. I got in the 70s and 80s. I’m ok with that.
How common is material management? I know that one is both administrative and general. That job would be my first choice. Scored 68 A and 51 G
Your score is good to go for that job bro !
AFROTC and OTS you will take the AFOQT not the ASVAB
I have a serious question… let’s say I visit my Air Force recruiter and explain to him I want to do something within the new Space Force. Then I do the ASVAB and let’s say I didn’t qualify for any Space Force job, so he gives me a few option I do qualify for. If I do not have interest in any offered jobs can I decide not to join at that point?
No one can force you to join. However, you can check out www.airforce.com, scroll down to Space Force and see the careers they have.
I believe space force recruits put pf the Airfore for now.
I took my test last week and got
M:81
A:90
G:87
E:95
😁😁😁
Awesome scores. You should be a linguist with your smart self. 😂😂😂💪🏽💪🏽🙌🏽
@Peter Paj i passed everything but i have to get medical records cause i told them something i shouldn't have
Are those subject I have study for to get in the Air Force
@@tjhayes2691 i didn't study, but if u paid attention in school you should be fine. it depends on what u wanna do tho, focus on the section that fits your job
So I need a 69 E score to get my avionics job... what are the most important things to know to get a higher E score
Mechanical: 66|Administrative:74|General:62|
Electrical:62
Overall: 69
Do you think I qualify for most of the the jobs in the Air Force?
Definitely. The electrical score is gonna keep you out of some electrical jobs, but everything is solid. Really good job on the crushing the test.
I had made a 74 on my afqt and asvab tests. If I could take it again I'd probably score somewhere in the high 80's low 90's.
HELP!!!!
I would like to be a photographer in the AF reserves down in Miami. I think it’s now called broadcast journalism/photography. What score should I aim for? I researched a bit and it changed from a 44 to a 72 in General?! Is that true? How hard would that be? Is this job rare to get? Any extra info would be greatly appreciated. PLEASE REPLY!
For the AF Reserve you mentioned how there’s a list of jobs that are available for you to choose. Does your score determine if you can pick that job or you just pick whichever one?
You can pick what you qualify for and what’s available. Asvab and physical determine what you’re qualified for. I made this video which can give you more info. ua-cam.com/video/XsFP6ovRwCM/v-deo.html
i have 11 on my ACT and my SAT is 400 i think and i have learning disability.
Thank god I found this video😭
I’m struggling with math while studying for the ASVAB and it’s very discouraging. It’s sooo hard not even funny. When I took the practice ASVAB at the recruiter I made like a 18 and it didn’t even let me finish it
I’d like to do something administrative like more paperwork than combat lol. I’m studying right now for the ASVAB. Whats the minimum score I should aim for on this test? I was thinking at least a 45-50? Please reply. Thank you sir!
I take my ASVAB in one month and I’m nervous but I’m gonna study as hard as I can. Hopefully I can get a job in the medical field or intel
Good luck. Keep studying and crush it. Also, keep in mind the medical and Intel jobs are scarce, so maybe look around at a few other jobs too. If you’re interested in Intel, maybe look at some of the computer jobs too. I posted a link which can help you.

Thank God I finally passed my ASVAB the EXAMS ON MY 5th attempt with the help of Mr DAVID, I used his preparation tips. just 3 days of working with him and I passed. I was referred to him by a friend before my exams. Please friends I recommend you to mr DAVID. The man has the key to getting your exam.I
@@isabellateny5084 hello can you share his number or put me in contact with him please!?
The asvab for dummies is really good it helps
Got a 97 at meps. My recruiter told me just to do better next time.
how do you calculate your score if you're doing practice tests via the ASVAB for dummies books or a paper version?
Before I enlisted I requested a, guarantee job, I knew what job I was going to do before I left MEPPS
@@Jodywithawhy thank you. I will retest. My line scores don’t qualify me for any jobs anyway plus I want a higher score.
Hey tameka check out Anderson Duran he’s a ASVAB tutor
@@Will93th thanks
@@tamekabarnes8538 no problem
If someone is a single parent but has a care plan in place and goes reserve are they able to go active duty? If so, how long after can they change over?
Also, when signing the contract is it a open contract or do you know right then what job you’re going to? Or you only know the job after basic training?
What does the G score consist of for the Air Force? Not just the AFQT specifically the G score. I need a G score of 55 for the job I want.
