Problem no 1. cost of fish is 150% in a supermarket than fish market, so for sure price of fish is more than 5.40 in a supermarket not less than 5.40, let assume fish market price is 100, that time supermarket price is 150 so if the price in fish market is 5.40 the we have to find out supermarket price so equation will be 150/100=x(assume for supermarket price)/5.40, do the cross multiplication 100*x=5.40*150 next step is 100x=810, next step, we have to take out the value of x then 100 is multiplying before = then after = it will be division so 810/100 so answer will be 8.10, that's why price of fish in supermarket in $8.10, D is correct choice from my point of view.
No B is the correct answer choice. The Fish market price is $5.40, which is up by 150% more than at the supermarket. The supermarket price is 100% at the original price of $3.60.

Problem no 3. storekeeper increase price 50% of actual price, but cat food did not sell so they reduce by 20% means 50%-20%=30% so let's assume if the actual price is 100% then storekeeper sell for 130%. He sell it for 12 means 130%=12 so let's put in our equation 130/100=12/x(actual price of the product). do the cross multiplication 130*x=100*12, next step 130x=1200, we have to take out the value of x then x=1200/130, answer is 9.23. So my answer for this question is $9.23 cents. that is in No.-C in the question. Thank you.

Just found your channel. Do you have any recommendations where to start when studying for the math/arithmetic reasoning sections for AFOQT? I’m hoping to retake by the end of the year and this was my weakest area.
It's actually 0.8 S. He got 0.8 by taking 1 from 20%. Same way he got 1.5 by adding 1 to 50%. Because the question says the original cost was reduced by 20% ( which translates to 1-20%), the question also says the cost was increased by 50% (which translates to 1+50%). Hope this helps.
Hi how’d you get 1.5 on problem 3??? I understand all of it I just can’t seem to see where you pulled the number from?! Can anyone help a brother out I’m taking my ASVAB in 2 days

I don't think that is quite right as the percent mark ups and downs are on the new prices
If you could break it down a little bit sometimes, it would be great. I'm lost sometimes.

For problem 3 how did you get .85 = 12? I don't get it 😕
Same here im trying to figure out how he got those numbers:/
I’m trying figure out how he get 1.5 on this problem 🥴
It's actually 0.8 S. He got 0.8 by taking 1 from 20%. Same way he got 1.5 by adding 1 to 50%. Because the question says the original cost was reduced by 20% ( which translates to 1-20%), the question also says the cost was increased by 50% (which translates to 1+50%). Hope this helps.
"S" being the selling/original price
Is these the questions that’s on the test test ?
No these are just sample questions similar to the ones that might be on the test

15 goes into 90 six times. Sorry it wasn't more clear
how did you come up with 1.5 on question 3?
1.5 is from the full amount plus the fifty percent
