I would be interested in the quality of the DAC. This was a real bottleneck in the previous model. The new S10+ has optical out which is great. I like the Arylic devices for advanced DPS possibilities (with the ACPWorkbench software). What I am also missing is Tidal Connect.
Hi, I tend not to focus as much on the audio side of things, and more the smart home integration, but hopefully there are some audio focused channels that will review it soon, if not already.
Mine has arrived 5 days ago. Folders structure with an HDD or Usb stik works perfectly with 4stream apk. The dac is not bad, but due to the jack output, the sound is really really low, it lacks dynamics, sound is not enough open, but for 50 dollars, it's a bargain. If i plugg it to a topping E30 DAC, it is another world, more decibels, open soundstage, when my amplifier volume was at 8 with the integreted dac, I only have to put the volume at 1 to have the same level with the E30. I haven't got an apple device, so i cannot tell anything about airplay, no problem with bluetooth, UPNP works perfectly , Vtuner and TuneIn too, spotify connect works great, I will test tidal tomorrow. Audiocast and wiim apk works with it too.(4stream, audiocast, Wiim home, IEAST Controller, nearly the same apk).
It is not unfortunately. I’ve tried getting it to play in tandem with other AirPlay devices and there’s no option for it to do this, with the only exception being the iMac, which is out of sync anyway. I did even ask this question of the company before they sent it for review, and they confirmed it was only AirPlay 1.
Thank you for your video. FYI, because Airplay 1 is real CD quality streaming is, some people like me prefer 1 then 2. Airplay 2 is sometime not a CD quality.. 🥲 I bought it only becuz of Airplay 1..

What I want to know is,does it go from one track to another without a gap,as the s50 pro+ does?

Hey! I think Apple rebranded AirPlay 2 to just AirPlay because they are not licensing AirPlay 1. So this device is probably AirPlay 2.
