I'm 28 and I'm never wearing a belt again. I got a pair of suspenders for work because my belt would cut into me and I would end up having to pull my pants up constantly because I'm skinny and I have no back side. I used these at work today and it was so nice not having to deal with a belt. My pears laughed and called them old man straps, but look whose pants are falling now!
I'm 20 and have been getting into them too. I'm skinny and lack an ass too so suspenders are pretty great for that. I'm working my butt out but that takes time.
Bad snaps on suspenders is part of why they disappeared once manufacturers stopped putting the extra buttons on trousers. I wore suspenders when very young and hated the snaps even then. Now you can find suspenders that hook pin your belt loops. Those are great. That is what I use now. Gave up on suspenders until the belt loop hook clips appeared.
thank you for the help. i just bought some because i heard they could help reduce lower back pain then a belt can. but i like to ask, can i wear then under a shirt if i have a under shirt?
Yeah, as long as you have a t-shirt that the suspenders go over you should be fine. Then, if you want you can wear a light over-shirt to hide the suspenders. Just experiment for what works best for you.

I have t disagree with this, for myself, as I am usually wearing some kind of tool holster or sheath, which requires wearing a belt. My question is WHY is it not recommended to wear a belt with suspenders? Is this strictly a "style" thing?
Loosen the 2 clips by forcing the clamp shield up. This will free the grip so that you can adjust. Then simply close each clasp. May take some effort, but that's good and by design.

Kind-of hidden, but there is a metal buckle on each side. Pull-up on the tab, and the jaws will loosen.
