As a bass player even the drummer took the bass when taking a small break on rehearsal. So relatable this one! Ah well, being the lesser skilled musician, the others should have been thankful I didn’t arrive with a radiator or fire extinguisher instead of my bass guitar!

The bass is an awesome instrument and should treated as one and not like only playing roots (even though sometimes a simple bass sounds awesome too). What got me really into bass was Queensryche's masterpiece "Operation Mindcrime" and later Trivium's "What the Dead Men say". I could hear the bass pretty well in the mix and what the bassists are playing is just fun to listen to! ^^
It ain't no secret, I love the bass guitar. I've played it just about as long as I've played guitar. I find it strange when people play one but not the other. I love a good bassline and have always written cool bass parts in my own music. Bass is so cool.

I was and still am for all intents and purposes a bassist. I started out on bass, been playing for like 10 years and then switched to the guitar and been playing it for like 5 years. So in my 15 years of playing instruments I found out two things: Playing bass made me learn guitar faster, and learning guitar made my bass playing better. I see no reason to be exclusive on a single instrument, these two are extentions of each other...
I’m mainly a guitarist but learned bass in high school for our school band and it’s been my secondary instrument since, it’s a great instrument to have on hand for when you’re doing some recording and you need to do a bass part or live if your band is in need of a bassist

My small town only had cheap acoustics and Squire strats, and later I just figured it's easier to stick to guitar if I want to join a band sooner rather than learning bass from scratch.
