Nothing has been revealed on the Assassin's Creed Mirage Storyline. All we know officially is the main character is Basim, it's 20 years before the events of Assassins Creed Valhalla, and Basim is haunted by a Djinn. With that said, that doesn't stop fans from coming up with their own theories and this is my favorite.

We will watch Basim slowly get consumed throughout the game, target after target. Similar to how Odin talked with Eivor in his memory corridors
I hope so. I really want to know who Basim was before Loki took over him.
@@ac_nerd9794 but basim already stated they came to an understanding that they're actually the same person and also referring himself as us at the beginning of final update crossover mission in ac Valhalla, it's just that they have different memories and experiences but basim eventually accepted the fact that he's an reincarnation of loki, basim was also surprised that Odin even though smart was unable to convince eivor of what he actually was for a long time, Odin was actually arrogant and trying to outright take over eivors body, loki might tried to as well but they became one by the looks of it. The current basim is an amalgamation of loki and basim, he is actually more mature and understanding compared the old loki and even basim that he is willing to give William miles his dna samples to see the truth of what happened to him.
@@Faustin_Ducasse Yeah, but I want to see everything unfold and how young Basim feels and deals with it. He may have accepted it eventually but what did he do to to Loki from consuming him at the start of the visions.
@@ac_nerd9794 there was no consuming, it's like recovering from an amnesia, you have a hard time accepting what or who you were
@@Faustin_Ducasse I'm not sure how everything is gonna happen with Loki. But the Basim in Valhalla clearly isn't Basim.
Assassins suffering from schizophrenia from basim to desmond 💀
Yea Layla too they have witness entire life times all the while fully immersed as a totally different person feeling what they feel even learning the assassins muscle memory from combat and parkour I imagine they would go crazy af after like a month
@@patheticraw6939 And don’t forget that time when Bayek met with Aya and they basically fucked, Layla fucking orgasmed because of the fucking bleeding effect. That shit got me for real.
desmond doesn't have scizophrenia his brain was cooked by the animus....
It's also considered a 6th sense by the Isu lol
Desmond was experiencing the bleeding effect visions from being in the animus to long where as basim is being taken over by a litteral god. God these games lost their way.
So basically the same as Odin trying to enters Eivor’s conciseness except Eivor is able to deny Odin’s attempt in the end while Basim failed/or let willingly.
Basim already stated they came to an understanding that they're actually the same person and also referring himself as us at the beginning of final update crossover mission in ac Valhalla, it's just that they have different memories and experiences but basim eventually accepted the fact that he's an reincarnation of loki possibly becoming a single consciousness.
Technically Odin doesn’t fail if you play the last bit of dlc they just added. Like he doesn’t win like he wanted but still.
I'd say this is highly likely
It was less Isu Odin and more Eivor's subconscious that she was fighting. I think it's less "possession" and more like remembering what and how you were and deciding how to deal with it.
Odin and Eivor still assimilated together in the last chapter.
Basim already stated they(loki and him) came to an understanding that they're actually the same person and also referring himself as us at the beginning of final update crossover mission in ac Valhalla, it's just that they have different memories and experiences but basim eventually accepted the fact that he's an reincarnation of loki, basim was also surprised that Odin even though smart was unable to convince eivor of what he actually was for a long time, Odin was actually arrogant and trying to outright take over eivors body, loki might tried to as well but they became one by the looks of it. The current basim is an amalgamation of loki and basim, he is actually more mature and understanding compared the old loki and even basim that he is willing to give William miles his dna samples to see the truth of what happened to him.
So basically it’s like Eivor and Odin, except basin is actually accepting of loki and accepts that he IS loki, so I imagine it’s gonna be the same as Valhalla with the dialogues between Odin and Eivor, except loki and basim see more eye to eye instead of denying it like Eivor and Odin right?
@@bxxgeyman8558 possibly because loki played it smart or eventually came to terms like eivor and Odin, Odin failed to make eivor understand until it eivor was older
That actually makes sense with Ödin, even in the Norse mythos he craved power, was manipulative, infact his whole wanting to stop Ragnarök actually causes Ragnarök.
While Löki was a trickster god , he mainly played pranks and was mishevious (sure he was responsible for the death of Baldur, it wasn't his plan to kill Baldur, it's basically how pranks tend to get out of hand), Ödin was the real Trickster , having manipulated many for his Goals, except Löki and Thör.
Funny how in modern media they depict Thör as a heroic yet Muscle headed fool, in the mythos Thör was actually smart, infact he often knew when his father was up to no good, like when Ödin tried to trick Thör by disguising himself as a old man, Thör knew it was Ödin but humoured home.
Fun fact in Norse mythos Ödin and Löki are blood Oath brothers but also Cousins.
Löki was also the god of Fire.
Yeah in Norse mythos Jötun or Jötnar are actually Gods but are enemies of the Aesir/Æsir cause Ödin and his brothers Vé and Vili killed Ymir the father of all Jötun.
Basically Ödin is the cause for a lot of the problems in the Norse mythos, it is why while Ödin was the All father or Havi (high father) of the norse, Thör was more widely worshipped and held in a higher regard then Ödin was, even when Christianity came to Norway people still wore The amulet of Mjölnir alongside the cross,
Fun fact Thör and Ödin are actually Germanic Gods, they were Called Thunör and Wöden by the Anglos, Saxons and Jutes (the English), Thunraz and Wöten by what is now Hungary, Bohemia and several other Germanic areas even modern day Germany, the oldest name for Thör and Ödin is Thunöraz and Wötenaz Wich predates the Romans occupation of the Germanic tribes.
Even the Finnish worshipped Thör, though they called him Ukkö.
The reason I me ruined this is cause one of the new titles for Assassin's Creed is Hex Wich is Germanic, and since the isu are part of the AC Lore then I wouldn't be surprised if we see references to the Germanic aspects of Thör and Ödin.
Kinda like in Valhalla when you fight and kill the three sisters to get the Thör armour set, the temple you find the second to last thör armour piece, you can see the sisters as well as their father Worshipped the Anglo Saxon version of Thör , Thunör.
Literally go to the temple where you receive Thör's helmet and read the notes there and it will me tion Thunör aka Thör.
I don’t think William just wants to see how Basim’s life turned out. He’s definitely looking for something. And I’m a little bit concerned about Basim willingly give his blood sample. They both don’t trust each other and for sure Willian knows he’s up to no good.
I think the creative director said that it is not the consciousness but the memories of the precursors that overwhelm sages. It is not that they are conforming into their respective precursor but rather reawakening their memories and hence would behave similar to their counterparts. Basim is still wholly basim yet also has the complete memories of loki
Funny how the Jinni ended up being suppressed ptsd visions of Odin
Wow this aged incredibly well 🙌🏾
like spot on 😂
It didn’t though. The Djinn isn’t Loki, it’s Loki’s jailer, who is most likely Odin. It’s his realization of what the djinn represented in his previous life that made him come to terms with his past self.
Its a representation of Loki getting jailed and tortured

I bet the present day character is also Basim
Playing the animus ancestor Basim😭🤣🤣🤣🤣
It is in the last chapter if u played it basim injects himself for dna to send to William Miles to watch so its either William or basim because ubisoft abandoned the plotpoint where the modern day characters had to be actual descendants of the person to relive their memories like Desmond/Altair/Ezio they were all related but now u can just relive it as long as u have their DNA stupid af.

Love how basims character model has more detail in valhalla than he does in his own game
Yeah I thought I was just insane. He doesn’t look bad in Mirage, but when compared to Valhalla, he looks like a claymation.
Wtf have you been playing it on like, on the series x I used the camera mode to see his scar on his neck that they have its also where eivor got bit that hid the scar from basim/loki spotting her as odins reincarnation
Do you speak English?@@peteramaranth85
here's one what if the game is gonna be Basim looking back at his old memories from the simulation
In Valhalla’s new dlc the last chapter William miles says he wants something from Basim, and then it cuts to basim taking a sample of his own blood, uploading it to a computer that says “genetic memory extraction beginning”, and then basim says “you are in for quite a ride, Mr. Miles.” So my guess is William miles and the modern assassins are going to be the ones reliving basim’s memories, to understand who he is and if they can trust him
I think it's to bring them up to speed on the techniques he used as an assassin back then
@@noahgettheark eh, there’s plenty of other assassins they could study to learn skills. Basim exists in the modern day now, and they have no idea his real history. He obviously wants to work with them, so I think they just wanna know if they can trust him
@@Jason-it5kz while that is true, he also told him that the modern assassins were just a shadow of the ones he left behind, and wanted to catch them up to speed.
@@noahgettheark I think that point supports what I’m suggesting better than what you suggested tbh lol
It’s amazing how this video is almost a year old and this theory was almost spot on with what happens
Loki was probably smart enough to realize either you trick the host into letting you take over or try to work with the person in some way similar to Odin but that never pans out so he took the past of least resistance and manipulated basim
In the end Basim says the jinni is part of his past memories and is no longer afraid of them but that the past is where they belong and where they shall remain. This also happened with Nehal she was apart of his memories.
Unlike Odin who's directly able to communicate with Eivor, the djinn is a symbolic representation of Loki taking over.
I expect Ubisoft will make a dlc Of Loki’s Assimilation into Basiem
I know Valhalla got hate but I like this story especially loki
the story is very good but not many see the end of it due to extravagant amount of gameplay
Overall the story is really good imo especially the beginning and Basim's arc but the execution is what drag it down
I loved it a bit not going to lie. Not the best assassin's creed type game but a very fun sorta adventure/viking game. Plus eivor ( or at least the male version since I haven't played the female version) is a solid protagonist. Like you can see how he becomes somewhat of a leader even though it seems more to me at least that he wants to just help Sigurd. And then there's times in say encounters where it seems like hes really wise( obvious since you know odin) which I love and also it can be very fun seeing how charismatic he is to people( at least when you level that skill) not the best character by far but I'd say he in or around my top ten favorite.
@@djcokeisnotreal9810 finally someone who feels the same and trust me male evior was way better I tried female evior and couldn’t get far I really did like how evior spoke his acting was very well done
@@Fuk_communism yeah and I also like how we see some of his life as a kid before you know. And the thing I love is the whole stacking rocks thing where you get to hear some of his memories from when he was a child, like the last time I can think of where they focused on a acs character's almost whole life was ezio. And that's what excites me a bit about these new games, seeing dlc to expand on the mc story either though there past before the game or future like with evior heading to Francia or Ireland.

Basim is the reincarnation of Loki 😢 poor guy at the end loki completely took over his body
He didn't took over my guy, basim/Loki are the same person he already said it in the final missions added to Valhalla and at the end of mirage. Basim accepted who he was after remembering everything, he literally speaks about it in the game during the ending. Gosh these videos condition/change how people perceive things even though the story straight out points out what really happened.
In ac valhala last chapter it shows that basim is still basim he just accept loki and convinced to help him as one together
Unlike eivor he did not want to put odin memories in his mind but in the last chapter it shows that eivor and odin set terms peacefully
Eivor being eivor and odin the isu being odin
Basim and loki are one
Dont say he is loki say he is basim/loki
yeah, he basically accepted that he is an reincarnation of loki and they became a singular consciousness, in a way more mature and understanding than they were alone. Odin was straight up arrogant and wanting to take of over eivors body, basim/loki was surprised that Odin even though being so smart was such an idiot.

Well if there is a modern story we will be playing as William miles
Who would've thought that Nehal ended up being Loki. It makes so much sense.
I suggest you put a spoiler warning for people who haven’t played the game yet, dawg
So i don't think loki took over Basim. I think they merged into a new being with both memories.
I also agree with you but I still feel that Loki is or have the upper hand In basim's body! Like for example, in the entire game he is just a boy who grew up at Baghdad and obviously for reasons he became a thief then what happens is he also had a jinni With him and again he was amazed by the hidden ones so much to the point that when opportunity came, he went for it and also was curious about his jinni and his purpose in life. Then after knowing everything, suddenly he is after everyone from the timeline of Loki and he didn't want to spare anyone from it!
I believe after everything Loki took over Basim though merging!
I hope I could make you understand as I've tried and I couldn't get the chance to play Valhalla yet!
I thought basim would be the sage like we saw in ac4 and it would make tons of sense but also they could finally connect the story lines with this
Ya ubisoft abandoned that storyline to the sages were actually descendents of the isu and had isu dna it would've made more sense but ubisoft being ubisoft they forgot that plotpoint entirely.
What would be cool to see is the Sand Dagger of Time from the Prince of Persia that the entire franchise is made off of just to make it full circle like it wouldn't probably be the main artifact that their after in this game but it would be nice if you can get it as a collectors item or momento like you could in Syndicate and it would eventually get pasted down to the prince in a epilogue somewhere
This game is the definition of “make it up as you go”
You’d sooner get me to to donate to that Nigerian Prince then ever believe Ubisoft had any sort of coherent plan for this franchise. Each release isn’t crafted from a well thought out story board, they’re just throwing ink grenades on paper and whatever they can decipher from the splatter is the next chapter.
The writer for the game refuted this saying that the Djinn isn’t Loki
I like the idea of a tragic story for AC. Typically we get good or bittersweet endings for heroes but this one could be the saddest of them añl
MAN! I feel bad for Basim, I mean, Loki in the end controlled the poor guy, Basim haven't done anything wrong. And now HIS body is just possessed by another soul... 😢
great theory, but in real life, a jin is a soul that cannot be seen but people could imagine it. it is similar to devil but not certainly evil, a jin could be good or bad, either the theory is wrong or AC is changing the logic into their own and it would be kinda cool
couldn't it be like basim imagining it from a logical standpoint ? don't we imagine monsters and we see how they look in our imaginations and dreams ?
it's not about the theory mate, you're just thinking things the wrong way.
edit : kinda like saitama is confused and oblivious about the reality infront of him
@@Faustin_Ducasse You are contradicting yourself a lot here. You just mentioned that what if he is imagining it, and that's exactly what I said. You're trying to argue by saying that i am contradicting myself when i explicitly explained the problem with your thought process about your own statement, infact you're continuing to contradict yourself and keep proving my exact point's.
My first comment is the literal explanation that your main comment is contradictory to your thoughts about the topic.
Edit: I'm doing this because i literally think you're not smart enough to understand that you're the one who's actually contradicting himself,
You literally said that jins are something that is imagined but cannot be seen right ? But we do see visual representation of the thing's we imagine in our mind, so basically seeing a Jin is obviously accurate, bruh either you're not typing exactly what you want type or not just smart enough to understand the mistake. Your argument is basically like this statement "the wood is on fire but there's no flames" 🤦🏻
so to explain this, we need a quick crash course on AC's messy lore. basically, a long time ago, a civilization of super beings existed called Isu, little in number but super powerful. they created humans and enslaved them using the various pieces of Eden (POE) we see in the game. humanity was eventually freed by human-isu hybrids taking control of the POEs. Around the same time, Earth went through an extinction level event where all Isu and most humans died. The Isu eventually were remembered by humans as the various pantheons of ancient gods and goddesses.
Now, the Isu, who were very technologically advanced, tried to implement various methods to ensure both there and humanity's survival. The Greek gods (Zeus, Hera, etc) tried to look into the future to see if a solution lied there. The Norse gods decided to "upload" there consciousness into a simulation so they could reincarnate within humans. Two souls to one body, basically. The Isu soul tries to get influence over a human by approaching them via the humans own beliefs. Eivor in Valhalla saw visions of Odin's memories through extensive dreams that were centered around her Norse beliefs. Basim, who most likely was a Muslim, saw Loki as a Djinn as that's what he believes in

You do realise it’s because Basim is literally a reincarnation of Loki, as announced officially multiple times, and already mentioned THOUSANDS of times in Valhalla?
I honestly thought this would be basically official info. I never expected anything else tbh 😂
So everytime we kill a target we slowly becoming to look like loki
Nehal is also his inner Loki that’s why no one can see nehal and she only appears when their alone
This is opening up doors 😍😍😍😍😍 I thought about reincarnation of God's when we saw AC 2, the statues you had to collect around Monteriggioni, of the gods. I remember it as a random thought. "What if Ezio and Desmond are both just incarnations of Apollo or something" AND THAT THOUGHT HAS STUCK WITH ME!!!!!! "
Sooo "basically" speaking, there is very old pre-historic out-of-records civilization of people who were advanced af so much that they were using humanity as slaves through apple of eden(which is by the way is one of about 50-150 artifacts made to manipulate their "inferiors" a.k.a. "tools")-but as soon as they realised that they are about to go dinosaur, they chose to commit multiple acts of emergency moves to stop giant meteor which in turn got them distracted from humanity which caused a small civil war to happen which also distracted them from giant rock in space which was about to smash them hard. So if to remember one of the ancient bs which talked with Desmond in AC3-they managed to merge hoomans with ancients through sacrifice-like moves and causing the creation of special guys with triple helix dna with their third being a god complex which awakens through "once upon a time" moments to screw with guy of another personality to take over control and do GOAT moves like good-ol'-times. Or if to put even MORE simply-random STD of Gods which does the fonky-wonky.
That story would be trash. Let the old assassins alone they are legend on their own driving story with philosophy. No shitty god story lying to kid like newer one.

Oh man you don't want to find out
Well, eivor is a reincarnation of Odin himself, and basim is the reincarnation of loki, I don't think it's so much loki fighting into basims mind so much as it Is basim realizing and finding out that he is loki

Damn, I wished the djinn looked more like the djinns from uncharted 3 with the flaming heads lol

I wish for a main entry AC with Basim in the wider region of Mesopotamia and Baghdad with his sick moves that he performed when he fought Eivor, and with character graphics not from PS3 era
maybe the period between Mirage and Valhalla, and with both Basim and Loki fighting each other in one body throughout the story (similar to how Odin and Eivor intracted but more) Loki trying to break free, and Basim trying to keep himself in control for his culture, his people, and his city.

Turns out it’s Odin somehow
Loki is present in Nehal, and Nehal is an imagination within Basim
Meh I find this theory to be a bit of a stretch. Djinns and Loki are mythological from two very different cultures. I seriously doubt the Djinn is Loki.
I have a theory that since Loki and basim are the same person, this opens a gateway for a new Trilogy explaining that the Isu are coming back and reclaim what's theirs but as humans with Loki/basim being the overlord.
The djin is a memory of himself, as he was tortured in a passed life

@@6yhred no gods I'm sure u seen eivor talk with odin who is a god he also see thor again another god he sees Freya another god these are all gods of asgard so there are gods in ac valhalla
Please, it's Ba. Sim. As the sims. Basim not Baseem. Thanks. Sorry if this sounded rude.
Basim is Loki.
Jinn or as you said djinn translates to demons in Islam
And loki can some what be interpreted as a demon of sorts in Norse.
Not all djinn are demons.
@@Mr_Schizo then what are the other half
@@daddysnfoorJust a normal god damn Djinn. Demons is Djinn who's tempting human with sins.
@@Mr_Schizo I Mean I don't know, Muslims refer to demons as djinns but as you said there're djinns who are Muslims and djinns who tempt humans to sin
Wait a minute. i thought Basim loses his mind only at the end. even when he meets Eivor the first time, he seemed pretty much in control
Loki took control of Basim long before we met him. He seems to go crazy because throughout the whole game he doesn't realize Eivor is Odin due to Eivor being a woman. As soon as it clicked, his thirst for revenge took over and made him fail to realize Eivor is still Eivor.
Makes sense eivor sees odin
It's not pronounced "Baseem" his apprentice pronounced it Basim
I sure hope this is the storyline... That's absolutely sick.
How did i mess up the pronunciation of Basims name that badly
He was probably like Eivor, a good hearted person underneath. If only he was able to resist Loki as well as Eivor resisted Odin. I think he'll rank up there with the greats, such as Altair, Ezio, Bayek and the Kenways. It's gonna suck to see him slowly lose his shit.
Wonder how involved we’re gonna get with the isu
Loki vs odin
Bro Jin are not a person that was human before
Jin are creatures that actually living on earth and thay just like human thay have a life at there own
And us human we can't see them or hear them but thay can
For making it simple thay are just like ghost
And u can't be a Muslim if u don't believe that thay are real
Thay are everywhere
And there is times that people saw them
Yh jinns are born from a smokeless fire
They were made before humans
They can see us but we can’t see them
There was only a few people who seen them being sulymona
Jinn in urdu and arabic means ghost
Remember when AC’s focus on writing a good story was about deep and complex characters instead of trying to be God of War Lite?
I honestly can’t remember, it’s been so long since it was that. I really really want them to go back to the original plot line and style of game.
Ik guys ubisoft really fucked up their most ambitious game franchise and reduced it to be a generic mystical syfy bullshit fest I missed the days where u had to relive ur ancestors memories to find a piece of Eden god its sad what it became😢
AC turn from a Stand Out masterpiece Story Writing that makes us actually research the actual history in the real life into copying story of God of War, Percy Jackson & Marvel Cinematic Universe. Heck! Even now Loki can do teleportation without the space stone 🤦
@@michaelsanders7484the original plot line has always been this. The ac fanbase always ignores the lore
The original games have always had abilities and isu. The apple of eden is literally an integral part of the original games. Also Juno and Minerva
Ofc its fuckin loki its how basim and his culture interprets it
It was Odin 😂😂
Omg i had to be quick to not see the comments,i want no spoilers. I haven't played mirage yet but this theory make a lot of sense!
Isu Jin
Isu Jin
YAYY ✨
In arabic djinn is like a ghost or spirit
