Great job. Looked at many beginner videos and this is one of the best.
Thank you for this info. its soooo useful and saves time trying to figure it out all by myself.
Really nicely done! Lots of production value, thanks for th tour. Cheers!
Dylan this is the best setup video that I've seen it is the most complete and has mega information. This should be a video you must watch before flying Thanks so much.
Thanks for taking the time to share info 👍
Great video, thanks for the tips. I’m still waiting for my Mavic 2 Pro to arrive and this has help no end!
Wow, lots of great info here. I will definitely watch this a few times to take it all in. Thanks ;)
Great overview. Thanks for the tips !
Such great instructions well done
Thank you for sharing all these tips!
Hope they Help
I'm just waiting for my Mavic 2 to arrive (exciting). I must say, I've been trawling YT for info, there's a lot of crap out there, but this was by far one of the best starter tutorials I've seen. Excellent job. You've just got another subscriber.
Great video, very clear, thank you, you got me on board
Excellent vlog, thanks for the clear & concise advice on becoming a drone flying god 😀
But seriously, loved that & will refer back to it time & again.
Take possession of my new mavic any day now..
great channel 👍🏻
thanks for checking it out Billy👍🏻
Got my first drone yesterday. thank you for great tutorial and advice
Yes, and just as someone below me says "I will watch again"; and will want to see your next update. Thanks from Salem Oregon USA.
Thanks that was a great info session
Waiting on mine. What a video. I’m subbing
Well Done Dylan, excellent beginner video for the M2 Drones. You covered a lot of information in the time frame of the video, it definitely a video to save for future use and reference. Actually this video can also be used for new Mavic Pro owners too, for the most part since you covered the Go4 App so will. Thank You!
Best Mavic start-up guide I've seen. Thank you, sir.
Really? 👍🏻
@@IkoptaUk Yes, really! All very clear and well-explained, and I'll put it it use as soon as my Mavic 2 Pro arrives in the next few days :)
Great Job Thank You! Going out today!
THANKS! It's not my first rodeo, but thanks, I did learn a few things, not the LEAST of which is what will definitely be a new favorite phrase for me, "a GORMLESS WHAT'S IT"!!
Super clear. Info, thanks
comprehensive well done video. this should have a lot more views.
I watch your videos all the time. Loving the content. Just bought my new mavic 2 pro after playing with toy drones and it is if I had never flown a drone before 😂😂😂. Still playing with the supplied simulator with props off.
Went to this years Drone show at the NEC not as busy as I thought it would be. Anyway happy flying and keep making the vids.
Very helpful, even though I've been flying for 2 years. Upgrading from a p3s to a m2p... tomorrow!
great information..to the point!
Interesting watch, Im awaiting my Mavic 2 Pro and the Smart Controller this Tuesday. I already own the 1st Mavic Pro among many other drones. This has given me the correct info to set my new Pro 2 up perfectly. love your sense of humour.👍 Very informative buddy. ✅
Thanks for the long guide tutorials. 👌👌👌
Great info for beginners like me..thanks
love the background!!!
Thank you for your very informative video beginner guide for a guy who is moving forward to purchase a DJI drone. Blue skies, Jg
Another top job budski... loved the sacrificial child praying that obstacle avoidance works... lmao.!!
Nice one Dylan, a lot to take onboard in one hit but has to be adhered too! Only have the Mavic Pro at this time, 👍🚁
Another great video.Your video was very informative, never would've thought to look at the advanced settings the others do not have. never new about the light at the bottom of the drone for night flights, Thank you for that. Mine will be arriving tomorrow. Taking it to NY taking some videos. Applied for the waivers got 3 of them back. then out to Long Island Montauk Point just need to call the tower and get permission. Will be bringing my P4P, Mavic Air along with the Mavic 2Pro. Now I need to invest in ND Filters. Keep up the great vdeos my friend, will be adding so many on my channel as I VLOG my trip. I want to do neon photography with my Sony a6500 and Canon. Again, Dylan you put some really great videos on here, great teacher. Thanks again.
really good clear info
awesome video - merci
Excellent , thx!!
thank you brotha - awesome!
Cheers Kevin 👍🏻
Good video. Thank you.
Just found your channel and subscribed! Great video!
Cheers Danny.👍🏻
Great tutorial video for beginners 👍
Liked and subscribed. 😉
Cheers AJ
Nice vid mate, lots of info as usual. Consider me subscribed. Keep up the good work. Cheers
Cheers Matt 🍻
Great video and very great Mavic ;)
yes you do want the DJI Assistant 1 if you want to Mod inspire or p4s mavics
Great video Dylan as always. Very informative and now the owner of the Mavic 2 pro myself it's nice to have a bit of a refresher course to help things along. I must admit I do love my Mavic 2 pro but I keep comparing it with my trusty Phantom 4 pro. Maybe there is some sort of therepy I can attend to stop me comparing lol Thanks for all the info Dylan, much appreciated. 😀👍👍👍
You are a bloody Legeng Dylan! Great video for newbies and refresher for old drones here! when are you doing the complete review of the Mavic 2 Pro? and the video about the best settings for the camera? Please do not delay doing those! You are my CInematic God!! CHeers mate!!
Very informative video. I have just received my Mavic 2 Pro and followed your step by step guide to the letter. As this is my first drone (purchased to support my already established photography business) The camera side of things is all familiar, but flying the bugger is something else !. It would be really helpful if you could do a video for the first time flyer. Its the turns that my head is struggling with, not to mention the control sticks. But being a good citizen I have booked lessons with an organization to help me start before getting into bad habits.
Keep up the good work
Awesome vid. I own several drones but I got tempted with Hasselblad cam. Very useful info on how to start with DJI mavic.
Brilliant mate some things will really help from this video for us noobs ;) one thing you might want to include in the second part is to check the telematics every ten to fifteen minutes like signal strength for GPS the controller and something I will be paying extra attention to is the flight speed of (especially) as if at full throttle and the indicated speed is up or down from the maximum speed in set mode I will know if I'm in a tailwind or headwind and the dangers associated with this ie losing the drone, connection and flight time. There is an app called UAV forecast which would help all pilots but checking in flight with each new battery could prevent loss. Cheers George.
LOL Just stumbled on your video again, must say really like your commentary. Nice work :-)
Cheers xrayhead
This is good stuff - thanks a lot!! :-)
A detailed video which deserve much more than a like...👍
Too kind..🍻
Ha first comment , and a nice beginnings video
Having seen a lot of American yaky yak style rubbish it was a pleasure to wqatch your film. Learnt a lot.
Very good video. Thanks
Cheers Roger
Great tips as I have just bought the Mavic 2 Pro Just subscribed
Awesome, thank you!
Hey Dylan hows it going, great video good to see people giving other people good advice. #mail#mail just a quick question, do you think maned aircraft use NATS app to buzz drone pilots, it seems lately if I set up a flight on the app if I do it a few hr’s before I go out there always seems to be a light aircraft turn up just as I’m about to go up happen a lot lately. I’m flying at home and never really had this much air traffic in the past. Thanks for your great channel 👍
Cheers Mate!
Great video. I will unbox my new pro 2 later tonight
oohhhh Exciting times... I love that new box smell.. 👍🏻
Good video , I can feel the drone godliness flowing through me 😀 .
I think you can get antibiotics for that...🤷♂️
@@IkoptaUk cool !
Cant wait to get my Mavic 2 Pro (hopefully next week *fingerscrossed* : Beside the very helpful video m8te. I wonder whats the story behind the gotillas in your garden. Can`t stop staring at them ;-) Cheers from Austria
Thanks for all of this info will watch it until I know everything if you have some more videos on this could you tell 👍Just subscribed....C u in the next video
very pro, I will get one
Nice guide that isn't aimed at half wits! Thanks!
He is absolutely correct when said about the gimbal Guard been taking off each time you fly. Little tip steak a little bit of red ribbon to the gimbal guard. It's a very bright visual reminder that it is there. It could save you a lot of money in the long run
Hi Dylan can you tell me what card reader you use cheers great channel russ
Do you have a beginning tutorial for the Mavic 2 Pro with Smart Controller?
Hi, great video and channel, just bought the mavic pro 2 but csnt find the setting to turn off phone charge from controller?
epic guy!
👍👍✌️ first thing I bought for my drone was a new and better gimbal guard.
Totally agree about setting the max height to 120 meters and max distance to 500 meters. That would sure help if there's an mishap.
I didn't see the setting to change from internal to sd card. Also I could not enable multiple flight mode until I set the sport switch on. I hunted for that setting in p mode for all afternoon.
on the third update you have this option only..
Good info, good humour thanks man - even though i only have the mavic 1 :(
Cheers Steve👍🏻
Great forking video mate! Only wish I'd seen it before jerking my gimbal around the inside of a plastic dome 😂 Respect 👊🏼
#mail sorry to jump in on this excellent review Dylan but I’m just looking at the Freewell ND2-400 variable filter and before wasting my money on it I wanted your opinion on whether this is the way to avoid having multiple filters in one solution or whether it’s better to keep individual ND filters. Also when should I be using a polarising filter over a normal ND Filter. I know you love this topic so hopefully this will be an easy one for you to answer :)
Hi mate thanks for the advice I’ve got my Mavic 2 pro going !!! what a great piece of kit
I was wondering if you could give me some advice would you know much about ? putting music in the background UA-cam videos
A certain songs that I’d love to put on in the background of the videos . But I’m not sure about the copyright ?
I’ve seen there is a lot of copyright free sites .But they just don’t have the song that I want
Any information would be grateful thanks again
Great video, but the port to connect the Mavic2 Pro to the computer is USB C, not Micro USB as you state in your video. Just wanted to highlight this for other users. Cheers
Thank you for some very useful information I worked in Risk management for the NHS. We used the aviation safety model to inform our risk management regime. I think it would be really useful, given this is all about aviation, to have a checklist that anyone can refer to, beginner or expert . To me, it makes perfect sense to follow a recognised check list, after all we are pilots. or wannabe pilots. Would that be feasible? I am a photographer and am seriously considering drone photography with the Mavic 2 Pro.
That would be part of your PFCO if you were to do commercial work..
All I would add is to ensure, as shown briefly in the video but not stated, that the props are off when powering up the drone indoors to test things, update firmware etc. Great video Dylan. It appears the MP2 has quite a few more options than my 'old' original MP. I'm still resisting so you can't quote my earlier post (yet!)
It starts as an itch... before long it moves to the wallet... and then theres a new delivery at the door.... Ive seen it all before..😂
Tks :)
...Excellent Info!...but where is part-2?
ok good video, but can i control the pro 2 with just the phone? i found a way to do it with the pro 1 , using wifi and the go4 software, but not the pro 2.....
I'm getting one of these next week..yeah I know 4 yrs later....this is what I can afford for this kind of hobby. Anyway this is the kind of info I need to prep myself on this drone so...thanks
Just got one today. 4k and great pics. All I need to make money from it. $450 with a smart controller. I'll make that back.
#Mail Hi Dylan. I like your all videos. Very helpful. My question is what you think the new Mavic 2 Pro’s variable aperture can use instead the nd filter? Because i read on the internet that when the drone use for the video nd filter is good but when i want take the photo better without nd filter. What do you think? Thanks in advance. Ps. Sorry my english is not very well. :)
Oszibusz.. Check this one out.. ua-cam.com/video/IiVUT0mQXgM/v-deo.html
Oszibuzs -ND Filters Are for Video only ! -Not for foto !! -ND's take away "noise" in the Videos when it's really sunny !!

I have a question... if I get the fly more package with the extra batteries can I take them on my carry on bag on a plane?
With most airlines you have to, they don't want those batteries underneath. I carry the complete drone with batteries on the plane all the time.
Are you using a Apple device? Like a guy wrote below i dont have some of the functions either, I'm on an Android, it doesnt have the no charge function for the phone, i didnt see a critical low batterry setting above the low battery setting, i am gonna have to check to see what else i'm missing. this is kinda jacked up and yes i'm using the dji go4, 4.3.0
is the dji map accurate on places you cannot fly?my dji map is different to the other drone apps
Huh, there's a load of options you show that I don't have.. Charging option is gone, can't see a graph of frequencies, calibrate compass button isn't there (but rattling the mode switch button enters calibration mode) 5D button options are named slightly different too.
My app is up to date (just double check all firmwares) so why would these not be showing?
DO YOU KNOW HOW BIG OF A MEMORY CARD CAN IT TAKE?
I forgot the gymbol guard twice I hope I didn't damage it im pretty sure its not too hard on it I just don't like how the guard goes on there it moves the whole camera when you put it on
Hear you George, but its a necessary evil for transportation
@@IkoptaUk It would be simple to just install a sensor to see if the guard is installed or not and give you a notification to remove it
Hi Dylan just been watching your new Mavic Pro 2 video just wondering with firmware updates !Do you have to connect to your computer to do this or can you update over the air !Many thanks mart
Lots of people have been having OTA problems. I did and just used the assistant and it was trivial, too, moments
Well my story. The controller updated over wifi. The drone would not. I had to get the dji assistant two and cable it up. Got the completed message. I went to fly and it said firmware update and it almost seems like the very end of the v one update went. Took just a few seconds. I rebooted both devices and ready to go.
I still haven't had my complimentary drone and fly more pack in the post (sure they're working on it) so stuck with my spark at the moment. Are you 100% truly happy with your purchase? I take your word as gospel!
So far, so great... amazing upgrade... get it if you can
I dont get it, so if im 1 km far from my home point and i push button he will go home point and live me ?hmm And i sposet to use evry time home point whenewer i go ?
Yes. Most times you fly you should be no more than 500m from the craft anyway. You should re assess the RTH point every time you fly. RTH is there for emergency use only really, not recommended for every day flying.
Calibration notes... first, if you start up drone next to any metal structures, cars, etc... app will say you have interference and to calibrate. Make sure your away from any structures that have metal, even starting drone on concrete slab with metal rebar will effect the compass. Also, try to turn drone on, on a level surface. If offset, this can alter IMU calibration on first startup. If you can start drone away from any metallic objects, on a level surface. You will have an unbelievable steady flight. Especially if you are wanting to do any hyper time laps or long exposures. I had the Mavic Pro, but sold it for the Mavic Pro 2 Hasselblad. Night and day between the two.
So I buy a Mavic 2 Zoom on 7/22/19. I had to purchase it with just the battery because there were no package deals with the remote etc available. Sold out. Then I purchase the remote when that came available, that was sold out also at the time. Here it is, August 4th and still can't get the remote to connect/bind. I've followed instructions from an email from them, which just gives you the normal startup and then says if it fails just restart everything...how many times am I supposed to do that??? I've tried every video I've seen online, I've disconnected from my wifi and trying LTE, I'm at a loss.
This video starts off with the wifi light/button on the drone red and they say push the button and in the video it turns green. Mine starts green and when I hit the button it turns red.some say just push the button and others say push and hold.
Another thing is when I start DJI GO 4, it gives me the option to select Mavic 2 Zoom. As soon as I plug the cable into my phone it automatically goes to Mavic Pro. If I start the whole process with the cable already plugged into my phone and rc, it doesn't give me an option to change it to Mavic 2 Zoom. I can't even find the DJI Assistant 2 to DL. It comes up on their website but just says to DL the installation documents on a computer.
I haven't tried plugging into a computer yet...can I, should I ? $2200 invested into this and I'm not getting a warm and fuzzy feeling about DJI and their products. I always thought they were one of the best.
Am I missing something?
Great video dude.... cant help but notice how that horse butt almost in your face lol
😳
I was under the assumption that the intelligent battery required the firmware update you can do via the app, I'm sure without having to plug in the drone to your pc etc??!
ensures that you have no firmware mismatch..for some reason the app will flag, but not clear up the mismatch. Battery should be automatic from the app.. as long as on the latest version
Hey can you update the firmware without a computer ???
Thank you my friend 👍😊🙏✅
DR Demon I know it’s super late on the response but yes you can .... download the app to your phone , turn on the drone , turn on the controller , connect your phone to the controller yes using the provided wire , (phone should have service/data available) open the app and connect to the drone ... once connected it will update the drone first and then controller second,,, it will use the data from your phone to do so.... I have unlimited data so it ain’t a problem for me but connect to WiFi and it will work aswell....also make sure the phone is 100% charged when you try to do this ... the app drains the battery like crazy fast
Thank you
Wow! I am to nerves to fly mine.
Hi Dylan
I have the lasted go4 app with my new Mavic 2 pro. But my settings are slightly different to others I've seen online.
On you video you have Critically low battery warning. I don't have that control on mine.
On the focus bar I have seen the macro flower on most at the top. Mines on the bottom.
And in the video settings most have `normal` Mine says `none`
Even DJI cant seem to work out why this is. Which is a bit worrying
iOs or Android? They look much different
@@silbay I'm on android. Never thought of that. Thanks silbay
