Yesterday morning, after a very loooong night with my 10 month old (and 2 hours of sleep), Starbucks was a must before daycare drop off/work. In line, all three kids started melting down, but, for whatever reason, I let someone cut me in line to be nice. Just as I was hitting my limit with the slow turnaround and still crying children, I finally get to the window to pay and the barista said, “the person ahead of you paid for your order to thank you for letting them go ahead.” This very tired mom could have cried in that moment. Definitely a God wink. 😭
Recently my husband had to stay in the hospital overnight and as I drove home, I went through the Dairy Queen for an ice cream cone. When I went to pay for it someone had already paid. I felt very blessed.
This is awesome. I've been praying for the Lord to put people in our path to help. My Hubby got a call from our nephew that his car had broken down at work & could my Hubby come pick him up & take him home. My Hubby said absolutely. My Hubby was able to help him out & talk to him about the Lord. Our nephew got saved that day. Praise the Lord for broken down cars & answered prayers. 😊
Don't you love how God works out everything in our lives? It has been amazing me since I was a little girl. At 77, I'm still amazed at the things He does in our lives❤
I was having a hard week at work last week. On Thursday i was having a particularly bad day and when i got to my car in the parking lot to go home there was a post it note on my window. The Post-it note said "The Creator of the universe knows you by name. He has a plan." I felt so moved by that random note someone left on my car window. It reminded me that God is watching over me and He has a plan to get me thru the tough stuff. He knows what we need and knows right when we need to hear from Him. ❤ God is good all of the time and He works through us to encourage each other.
Just a thought...instead of giving to the next person behind you in the drive thru line, give to the employee working the drive thru, most of them are just making minimum wage or a little more
Im a 60yo lady, quite isolated with no friends or family around. Just today I decided to change my life and try to something different but didnt know where do turn or what to do. Then I watched this video and you are like an answered prayer. I could push myself out of the house to volunteer and help other people. Being a Christian this is what we were born to do right? I am an older youtuber want-to-be and have Matthew 5 16 on my monitor to see everyday and hopefully can shine my light to others. I play games to entertain myself and maybe others. You have inspired me to do better than play games to entertain but to go into the world with joy in my heart. Now you have reminded me that God wants me to do more with my life for him. Thankyou for this message. Hopefully I can make some friends along the way too. CJ from Australia
You are Amazing and Beautiful. God Loves you and you have to share your wonderful self with the people....they will love you too. Ask God for your tribe.❤
Whenever I go to Aldi's, I always give someone my cart when they're going in and they offer the quarter, but I say, no, my treat, pay it forward. One cart quarter, can keep going if they do the same thing.
I homeschooled our children through to graduation, and they married a couple of years later. Being an empty nester was a big adjustment for me; I struggled with aimlessness. In time, with prayer, I have settled into a pattern of serving. I rotate through my family, my church family, and others (strangers, neighbors, etc.). I keep a brainstorming list of things that I could do for the above groups (visits, projects, breakfast or lunch out, Bible studies, notes, phone calls, meals, etc.). My days are full. I am grateful for opportunities to serve and for a measure of health and energy that allows for these things. I can't imagine another way of life now. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them of the household of faith. Galatians 6:10
@@sandyroy4857 Yes, it is! I hope that you navigate it better than I did at the first. I let myself grieve for far too long! Time is precious; we should make the most of it!
I got some gallon ziploc bags and in each I placed a bottle of water, 2 or 3 granola bars , some wipes, a toothbrush, a small tube of toothpaste, a new pair of socks and a gospel tract. I keep them in my car to give to the homeless who stand at intersections in our city.
I am a piano teacher and my students gave a recital last Friday. For their hard work, I gave them, and their families and friends, a huge reception after the recital. They were all so grateful.
Ladies I love the hair and I love the blue🙂. Me and my boys helped an elderly neighbour do some gardening last week. It was a really great experience for all of us. Living faith in action is so important. It’s easy to judge others but to show your faith in actions is the best way to spread the word❤️
Diana your videos have brought such a joy in my life. I had my first son not married and felt a lot of shame/ judgement from others at the time. Some were important members of my church😔. Now 10 years later with two boys and a husband I have such empathy for others. Faith is shared through actions more than words. You can speak faith and not show it when it counts. This focus on helping and kind actions makes your faith real in God’s light🙂. I want my boys to see the value in that. Thank you for these videos!
Last Thanksgiving I noticed a neighbor's car sitting in the driveway for a while. When I saw my neighbor and we got to chatting he said that his car needed work but he didn't have the money. I wasn't able to get the car repaired for him. However, my husband and I thought about and prayed about how we could help. Food!! (I guess food is a universal way to show we care.) But, I didn't want my neighbor to feel like he was getting a handout from us in anyway. So I fibbed and told him that we had gotten a very generous gift card as a gift, and that I understand what it's like to have a car that isn't working to get to the store for groceries. I asked if I could share some of my BIG gift card by getting some groceries for him. He said OK but wouldn't say what he wanted. So I started putting things out there and he said yes, or no. We get our groceries delivered. Every so often I'll get a little something for this neighbor. I tell him that the store made a mistake and gave me something I don't eat, or don't have extra room to store.
I love that you include ways to adjust the meals! I was helping my friend after her shoulder surgery, I'm dairy-free, she's not. Her friends dropped off meals that were able to be made dairy-free and it made me feel so loved and included.
The best experience I had this month was in the hospital. My son was having an operation, he has had many operand visits in his 11 years. I was chatting to the Mum in the next bed, her daughter is 4 and similar to my son. I gave her lots of time to chat, but I got a gift card for the hospital coffee shop too and she was so touched. I value time with people, im not a gift person, but this was God led and fabulous. . It was wonderful to bless her and i still pray for her when she comes to mind.
I have been having a really hard time recently and through following your videos this month i decided that although i dont have any energy, and that my appetite has dissappeared, i decided to be a blessing to the small community that is around me. I baked a banana bread for a friend who has lost her sister and baked carrot cake cupcakes for my coworkers at work and at the place i volunteer. They wont have known why i did it but it gave me a purpose and i was glad. This weekend i ended up going camping for a change of scenery last minute. Didnt bring all my usual cooking gear as i tried to keep it simple. I arrived at the campsite in a downpour and when it lightened up, my tent neighbours offered me an entire meal with the single use bbq to cook it on. I was so grateful i cried. They didnt know how much it meant to me to be taken care of at that moment. I guess you do reap what you sow.
So this is the first and only time in my entire life to comment online, but I really feel this strong urge since u started this project to tell u both about the best book i ever read, that changed my life, and that is exactly your topic Diana, and i can promise you, that u will love it and that u will see the world with new eyes: it's called: Humankind by historician Rutger Bregman and he prooves why humans as a species are kind at heart and how history is in fact the survival of the kindest, not the strongest, and he explains in the most compelling way why the perception of the society and especially the media, that humans are evil by nature, is wrong. It adresses all of your questions, nature, god, war, science, biology, psychology, media, education etc. it tells stories of the most exciting examples and it ends with an amazing outlook for the future and tips how to implement this insight to improve your life and the world. Please trust me, i know i am a stranger, but i watch all of your videos and i think u give great advice but i went completely out of my comfort zone here to write you, so thank you both Dawn and Diana, greetings from Berlin!
I believe that when we are blessed through love (a gift, dinner, meal, service, ect) we should then forward the love we received. Not in the same way, but with the same depth of feeling. God will guide his love back to us as we need it.
Your willingness to serve this month and share your experiences has caused me to ask myself, am I willing to set aside my own agenda and ask the Lord what His agenda is for me! What good is my busyness if I’m only serving myself! So many questions I’ve toiled with and feel God drawing me in for a deeper connection. I so appreciate you both!
Hi Diana and Dawn 2 years ago a young lady and her husband on our close oposite sent out invitations through our door to for a bbq we are all ages and we all took food and drink and they took our table and chairs we had such a lovely time. Last year was also great, when I moved here over 40 years ago I got to know everyone and most of us had young children but as time moves on theres only 3 of us older couples left, we know a few neighbours but people go and new people move in. We are retired now and it’s been nice to to meet the younger generation some with young children and some not started a family yet and we already have our invite for this August and looking forward to getting to have and afternoon with our neighbours again. We also like to give ever since a kind young man paid for our car park ticket many years ago now, it was something that until then we had never heard of so that’s how we started doing it. Have a great weekend ladies sorry it’s a long message xx God Bless you both
I was a SAHM and volunteered a lot knowing that not everyone had the gift of time. When I went back to college a couple of neighbors wanted to drive my youngest to school with their kids. They knew I couldn't take a turn driving but they insisted! I was so moved and grateful. (Later the university schedule gave me January and June off; I happily drove every day, both ways.) I have been given so many gifts like this over the years, I can't even count them all. God is good! People are beautiful!
Before you mentioned the historical fiction part I kept thinking “so much of this seems oddly like life and community used to function before the age of technology and individualism become so dominant!” And then you pretty much said that 😆 great minds…😉
The Take Your House Back program that your sister is a part of has been a blessing. Declutterring has become a lifestyle. This week I declutterred an instapot I couldn’t use. I left it downstairs in the lobby so another tenant could pick it up. Many told me to sell it but if I can gift someone else with it, I will. The instapot was gone by the next morning. Win/win. 😀
Just so you know, your words and light have been an inspiration and you have influenced me so much! Gradually I came to want what you ladies with faith had. I have taken my whole family to church over the past two years and my kids are growing up in the faith. I just wanted to share a success story from your channel. Keep up the good work!
I have done this for person behind me in line when I get iced coffee at McDonald's. It feels so good to do this. I work at our local food pantry every week and have for 11 years. I love being able to serve others 😄
Thank you for this! I have been mulling over in my mind how to reach out to my neighbors - many I have not spoken to - not because I'm unfriendly but because I don't know how I will be received. I realize it's really a series of baby steps. You've given me some ideas - thank you! ♥️♥️
Sometimes we forget teachers and the hard job we do. Elementary teachers really love it when you donate a simple snack or a little treat to the teacher's lounge and your local school.
I love this, and y'all! My "Love Always Wins" hoodie just came in yesterday - woohoo! You both have been such a blessing to so many, including me. Thank you again for giving! 💗💗 I started following Dawn first, at The Minimal Mom, for which I'm eternally grateful. Then I met Diane through Dawn, and what a blessing! You girls ROCK! 💗💗
I would try a tea at a different time of year. Christmas is already so busy. Maybe it would work better at some other time. You could do Christmas in July.
Thank you! Being a light used to be always always be on my heart and mind. Since having kids 3 years ago, I’ve barely left home with moving 8 times and medical challenges. This is encouragement to get started publicly again, not just at home. Thank you!
Diana, I hope you make this a yearly challenge! It is life giving and life altering!! I would join you each year for sure. I hope to keep it going but a yearly refresher challenge would be awesome!! ❤️
In the Book of Mormon there is a verse in Alma 5 that says “their souls did expand”. That’s what I thought of when you said “I feel so alive and I just think this is how it’s meant to be.” What a great way to expand our souls. ❤
Hi Diana great video. We have an elderly couple who is our neighbor. My husband and I go and visit them. She doesn't get around too good.I took her some books. She gave me books as wel. When we got home I felt so good.Everyone should give more of their time and themselves it takes so little but means so much. Have a great day.
Yes! The world needs our lights to shine so brightly that they will want what we have, Jesus!! 💥 I love your challenge! I have been traveling a lot in May but think I will do this in June.
You both look absolutely beautiful in blue. I can't wait to try the chicken chili recipe. It sounds delicious. It was a reminder that I need to make some. Some of the things I have done this month, I've been in frequent contact with a friend out of state who is battling breast cancer. She has a single mom. Her children don't live close and her parents are deceased. She feels so alone. So I have called her to be that listening ear.And we have prayed together. I have laughed and cried with her amazed. How a simple phone call is blessing her. Brought flowers in a vase over to 2 people. Also paid for a meal for someone.
Hi Dianna! I’ve watched you and your sister Dawn for many years! I especially loved you are May challenge, Well, I never committed to it, because I was afraid I may miss a day, etc. lol! I did look for ways to help others. I’m a realtor in Maryland and then May how to transaction where the buyers of my listing lost $72,000 to fraud. I was inspired to do what I can and then now trying to raise the money for them! Thank you for the encouragement you give, this is something I’ve never tried for before, but feel I can’t sit and wait for someone else to step in. Your channel (and Dawn’s!) is a blessing to me! Please keep carrying the torch. You don’t know who you might be affecting. 😊 Thank you!
After watching your last video, I paid for another family's meal. My kids were so happy that we did that. It was a blessing feeling we had. I would like to get a copy of the printable challenge of May. Could you please help me with this. I used the link but it didn't work. Thank you 😊 ❤ You and Dawn always inspire me ❤💐
So I'm wondering if you and your neighbors go to the same Church? In my Church almost everyone meets together for 2 hours of Church each week and there're other activities on some weekdays and our ward (congregation) is our ward family. It's very wonderful! 😀
Hi Diana, I’m not sure why but I can’t find my comment I left for you. I was going to edit it. But anyway I enjoyed this video and I wanted to tell you that I have a son that I always took to Care facilities, from when he was a tiny baby and he’s 29 now and he is still a very benevolent man. Keep it up. Love never fails!! It was also refreshing to hear you say the prayer through Jesus our saviors‘s name. So many people are not aware of the importance of this. Proverbs 27:11
My story this week is: I lost my keys, but I was sure it would be returned. There is a small card on it to bring it to a certain pharmacy if found and a bar code. I waited for days for them to call me. Nothing. I then walked the same steps again where I was sure I had lost it and asked at an info stand that was there for a couple of days and low and behold, they had the key! Someone had found it and brought it to them. The best thing was, I was so happy that the two young woman there got infected, and we were all beaming at each other. Shared happiness is the best!
This made me think of a poem my mom told me was a favorite of my grandmother, who passed before I was born. How to be happy, unknown author- But every part/paragraph not sure of the correct term- every one ends with “do something for somebody, quick!” It’s well worth the time to google and read it! 😁
Your light is shining and is inspiring. I love your channel. Thank God for your sister too she brought me to you. I love being helpful. A gal where I work needed money and I offered. It was so little and I gave with no expectation of a payback because I knew it was the thing to do. It helped her and she paid it back which was unexpected. Love helping. I love the idea of a gift card.
We are created in the image of God. When we are doing things that are part of His character (Loving, giving, creating, etc), we are happier because we are living in the part of us that is created in His image. That glorifies Him. That is my theology.
You two are special people to me…I’m always encouraged! I became disabled when I car hit me 14 yrs ago. It took many ops on my back and neck to sort me out….i was in pain 24 / 7. But that makes one crazy…I am so much better…I still have bad days but in this period of disability my hubby and I began to look for ways to help others . A friends hubby was dying of cancer er! I endeavoured to cook at least once a week sometimes it. Was more, I’m American and live in Australia but I cooked some Texas meals and shared it was so good to hear that her hubby had enjoyed what I cooked…as when my father in law had this same cancer yrs ago I so wanted to make it better for him but he really couldn’t eat! So I figured it would be the same for friends hubby… but he really enjoyed some different food! For over a year we have been doing this for a family in our church who have had a whole raft of issues and sometimes they come here to eat and sometimes we send it over to them and sometimes we are grandparents to these friends children and that is lovely for us! We have no family in the area we live our son and my hubby’s family live a plane ride away $$. When we are doing for others it makes us feel so much better about life! This has enable me to volunteer at one of kiddos schools and as a had to retire teacher after my accident it feel good to give a couple of hours a week in an area I worked in before accident.Today it’s a funeral for our next door neighbour… we don’t know if he knew Jesus…as there were issues, but we tried to love him by speaking and sharing a cake or Christmas cooking etc! I feel bad that it never got deep enough to share Jesus with him. But I’m determined to to do better! Thank you both!😊❤
That's such a good idea...I'm a widow and life can get quite lonely at times..but...if you could give a list of simple ideas.that would be very helpful.
Yay for all of our favorite UA-cam twins giving us weekend encouragement/inspiration!✨️ Thank you so much, Diana & Dawn~🌿 You are so relatable and I feel like we're kindred spirits. Community is important. I'm always trying to develop relationships with other ladies in my neighborhood, too.🙏 Constantly praying for opportunities to share the Gospel through relationships. It's a bit of a challenge as an American expat with a language barrier here in South Korea, but I'm grateful for the ways God has used my unique situation to ironically attract some of my neighbors to English Bible study who aren't interested in going to church, etc. Praise God! Keep letting the Light shine through you!!💛
Love y'all and you both look pretty in light blue. I did my color wheel recently. Wow, it made a difference. Thank you for this, such a great message. BLessings
Diana... It is probably staring me right in the face but I do not see where we click to join your Bible Study group. I clicked on the link in the description & it brought me to your website where it explains everything but I don't see where we actually join 🤷🏼♀️
Under the title of the video where it starts the description at the end where it says the word more click on the word more. Then at the top of the page that opens up on my iPad, there’s a little paragraph and then you click at the end of that paragraph For more and there’s links that she has put there for us at one of those links online Bible study. Then when you go to the online Bible study page, across the top is the Bible study link to click on. If you scroll down that page it will tell you thatonline Bible study will reopen in September and you can add your name and email address there. I hope this makes sense I would share pictures but I don’t see how a way to do that.
Working ( volunteer) to get honest, conservative ppl in local office positions within my community is my way of doing good. If we’re not careful then other states will end up as bad as California and Oregon…. Love the day to day good works but most importantly we must fix the problems that are engulfing this country …. Register voters , work on voter integrity, and elect honest politicians…..
One of my mentors said, “Give away what you need.” Need a hug? Give one away! Need encouragement? Give it away! Win win.

I agree with this but a lot of places, like drive-thrus, can’t accept tips. So ask first then go from there.
We agree! Bless the worker! Also filling out a great review and naming the worker many times the company blesses them!

Thanks for the reminder of how good this is for our communities and us. Looking for opportunities here in Ottawa, Canada. Love you two!
Win/win. 😀
I feel blessed every time I give away something I decluttered. I never sell anything. It's too much trouble for me. ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
@@dianasimplifies People don't show up and it's easy to waste a lot of time.
@@Greenwings701 I agree, my MIL passed away and hubby sold a few things but I wouldn't have bothered 😆
I must say watching this utube, I kept looking at both your Eyes, they were both looking so beautiful in the blouses you were both wearing!❤
I did a winter tea at the end of January this year and it worked out really well.
I sent a friend some cookies. She said “COOKIES!!! YAY!!!” So easy, so affordable, so fun, and happy!
Thank you! Being a light used to be always always be on my heart and mind. Since having kids 3 years ago, I’ve barely left home with moving 8 times and medical challenges. This is encouragement to get started publicly again, not just at home. Thank you!
God is love.... God always always always wins too!!
I love hearing about your acts of service and I Spur You On to keep encouraging us!!
Thank you Diana❤You are a bright star 🌟 of inspiration!!!
Diana, I hope you make this a yearly challenge! It is life giving and life altering!! I would join you each year for sure. I hope to keep it going but a yearly refresher challenge would be awesome!! ❤️
Please add stickers to you store with the awesome sayings on your merchandise ❤
I’m glad you explained how to bless the person behind you by using a gift card. I’ve always been stymied about the how. Thanks!
Friendship Evangelism!
In the Book of Mormon there is a verse in Alma 5 that says “their souls did expand”. That’s what I thought of when you said “I feel so alive and I just think this is how it’s meant to be.” What a great way to expand our souls. ❤
Such a wonderful reminder!!! Thank you for being an inspiration 😊🙏🏼❤️
Diana, this is so inspirational! I love all the good things that have come from your month of serving. 💗
I had a coworker who was allergic to chicken-and a few vegetarians in the office-still we managed to have potlucks before most holidays-it was great.
Great ideas! Keep ‘em coming, please.
Diana, this was such a good message. We all got so isolated and it's hard to get back to where we were. Thank you! ❤❤❤
I need Dawns chicken chili recipe! Thank you for this message!
I just love listening to you Diana. You’re such a blessing. Keep pointing people to Christ.
After watching your last video, I paid for another family's meal. My kids were so happy that we did that. It was a blessing feeling we had.
I would like to get a copy of the printable challenge of May. Could you please help me with this. I used the link but it didn't work.
Thank you 😊 ❤
You and Dawn always inspire me ❤💐
What a wonderful example for your children!
YES! The friends episode :D Was thinking about that with the May Serve Month
Thank you both…it is a great feeling all around 🥰❤️🌈~Angela
So I'm wondering if you and your neighbors go to the same Church? In my Church almost everyone meets together for 2 hours of Church each week and there're other activities on some weekdays and our ward (congregation) is our ward family. It's very wonderful! 😀
Hi Diana,
I’m not sure why but I can’t find my comment I left for you.
Just watching now not when you posted and wanted to say how good you both look in blue. Suits you both so much xxoo from Oz
This made me think of a poem my mom told me was a favorite of my grandmother, who passed before I was born. How to be happy, unknown author- But every part/paragraph not sure of the correct term- every one ends with “do something for somebody, quick!” It’s well worth the time to google and read it! 😁
Hey Diana, loving the co-ordinated shirts you and Dawn are wearing today: I bet this made you so happy!!😂😂😁😁😍😍
Love the blue shirts ladies! Those meals looked wonderful, I so enjoy white chicken chili. Thank you for sharing. ❤
Thank you both!😊❤
I have been looking for ways to serve, thank you for this! I missed the May challenge, but I am determined to do the challenge the month of June.❤
Thank you ladies 😄 also, you both look great in blue!
That's such a good idea...I'm a widow and life can get quite lonely at times..but...if you could give a list of simple ideas.that would be very helpful.
Keep going. It's been a real inspiration with the ideas and comments.
Praise God! Keep letting the Light shine through you!!💛
So encouraging!!!
Great inspiration Diana 👏. You both look great!
So uplifting and inspiring thank you. ps Dawn - that colour is gorgeous on you
Blessed to be a blessing
Love the mug!
Reach for the nice😊 indeed❤
Love y'all and you both look pretty in light blue. I did my color wheel recently. Wow, it made a difference. Thank you for this, such a great message. BLessings
This is amazing-so many ideas-thank u 😀
Such an encouraging channel. Thank you.
I do this everyday of the year🎉
This has been a great challenge this month. It’s been so encouraging!!
What an encouraging video! Thank you for the challenge. Also I would love to bless someone with food, what was your friend's youtube channel?
I love you guys!
Love the ideas !
Video with the block party planning please!
Beautiful are the feet of those…… ❤😊
Loved this
Hello beautiful ladies!
Diana, could you link your blouse?
What is the brand of your desk treadmill please? Anyone know of a good one? Thank you
