Thanks for making this video! I think I have the same issue, severe oil loss, oil everywhere on the RHS of the engine
Saludos amigo.
nice bro❤
My 1.4 turbo had a splach cover, but they removed it eventually and I bought it without (it was top model, so it should had it, but I don't like those covers).
Cam shaft solenoid leak you could have changed the seal only
I know but I received a good offert for both, almost the same price as for the gaskets and because off camera I kinda noticed that the oil was coming through the sensor I didn't wanted to risk it to put just the gaskets and to still leak through the sensor but I know what you means
first replace the top plastic cover then check the others and replace the turbo oil pipe
Thank you for vis. Where are you Slovakia or Hungry?
Does the engine need to be at TDC or the camshafts and crankshaft locked to change these 2 sensors?
No, you can directly remove it and replace it
Add oil dye next time and you can see exactly where the leak come from
That's a pretty good idea 💡 👍
why not change only the rubber gaskets of the solenoids?
Because I think I saw that oil was leaking throu the solenoid housing and I found a really good deal for the new ones
Hello man, I will check too in that point. Anyways I changed the cover too with an economic one. But I still have oil leaks.. the worst problem is that the oil falling near the exhaust collector , makes smoke and this smoke come into the passenger compartment. So I can not use air conditioning and air flow for refreshing and warming.. fuck it I m bored from this problem. What could be the problem? I have 1.4T GPL year 2012. Manual gearbox
Trebuie garnituri racitor de ulei sau racitorul cu totul nou
@@Rica192 you re right ,I have radiator oil problem too, It lieaks oil.. but it's a minor prolem. On the distribution side I have much more leaks
Anyways I m not mechanical but I think they are phase sensor
What's the best way to clean the oil from the engine
I always use brake parts cleaner and works all the time.
I have the same issue like you found in min 1:50 with the puddle of oil. It builds up every time I clean it. Do you know what might be the problem?
If you find the problem, please let me know, I have situation few hours ago, it leak like from the tap.
There is an oilseal thats gone bad. I had the same problem.
@@neshco I have sent it to 3 garages and 2 of them couldn't find the problem and were giving me a random diagnosis and I paid a lot just to look at it.The 3th said better sell the car then repair it cause he will need to strip the engine to find the problem. He said it's a common problem with these cars. Did sell it and bought a Kia which I am more than happy now.
How much did it costed you for all of this? I went to a certified opel dealer they told me 500e which is absurd in my opinion
If you do it yourself around 150€ in parts, rest is labor
Can i use 5w40 for the opel astra j 1.4 turbo?
Yes you can
