"So Many Roads" live at the Marquee/London 1967
with the then future Mac rhythm section John McVie
and Mick Fleetwood
John Mayall gave us so much in the 60s blues revival. His band always contained stellar musicians in that period and I saw them many times. It was a great scene. Peter Green inspired my playing
and lead me to join bands of my own. RIP PG.
Peter Green was the complete package as a blues player- he was one of the finest blues guitarists- his touch and feel for the music was amazing- and his voice reflected his guitar playing. Its great to hear him live playing with such passion. Thanks
Thank you for these great live clips. The studio work from Peter Green has
always been one of my very favorite blues clips. I am first a Chicago Blues fan having grown up here and had the opportunity to see many of the greats in the clubs (including Otis), but I truly love the fire and the intensity that the British brought to this music. Britain gave us Peter Green, Mick Taylor, Jeff Beck, Eric, and so many more world class guitarists who fell in love with this music the same way that we did. Their obvious passion for the music stoked the fires of their genius.
Youre welcome and tks for your comment.
Have a nice day.

The first blues album I ever purchased was John Mayall's 'Hard Road' lp back in 1967. And I'm pretty sure I bought the album because I liked the painting on the front cover (done by John himself). As far as the music on the disc goes, I really didn't like it that much at first. I wasn't familiar with the blues, having grown up listening to pop music radio. But within probably 6 months of buying 'Hard Road', I fell head over heels in love with the blues. And I'm sure it had a lot to do with Peter Green's brilliant playing on what I consider to be one of John Mayall's best albums.
Excellent! I saw them at the Fishmonger's Arms at Wood Green when Mick Fleetwood had just replaced Aynsley Dunbar and this is the sound which blew me away!
Youre a lucky to have seen this line-up. Tks for your comment.
Have a nice day.
Vanu.
Just found this and to say it made my day is something of an understatement. What a night that must have been. Didn't see him with Mayall but saw the original 'Mac' on many occasions. Thanks for this. Really.
Thanks for preserving awesome performances and sharing them with the world.
You're welcome and yes, spread the word around, "Greeny was here"....!!
Wow just just WOW.
Green was my first inspiration and still is
I do love his music so so much wonderfull he was in that time, and he is living still happenly.Super music is this.
What an amazing sound Peter had, sometimes close to a baritone saxophone.
Agressive, brutal, just I like
Thank you and Bluesblaster for bringing this amazing music back for us to enjoy....
Dank voor het delen!! Magisch
Nao obrigado. Glad you like it.
Um bom dia.

Vanu.
chris sams I live in Hastings I saw bros on the pier
so to say lots of talent have played
Me again! Presumably this must have been one of the very last gigs before Peter Green and Mick Fleetwood left to form Fleetwood Mac.
Probably!
Brilliant. Keep them coming, thanks.
The best part is about 5:30 into this...Peter Green goes nuts. This solo is ridiculous and I challenge anyone to come up with a better playing and tone. Clapton was great but not in the same league as Peter Green. It's too bad Green lost his mind.
TheBluesJammer Totally agreeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 5:30 is of another world
You've done it again: great video to accompany the music.
Thanks!
Keep up the good work! Great perfermance!
Thanks for posting!
another gem - thanks Rob.
Great vid V!
Wonderful sound! thank i subsribe!
Heh heh. .. John usually develops and designs his own album covers. However, this time, it’s clearly inspired by Brian Auger and his Oblivion Express .
Where’s my Time Machine.
Tell me when you find it, I'll hop in...🙂
may the Munick incident in germany in 1970 the reason of his healt( psychic) problem?
bertrand sanchez Maybe!
+bertrand sanchez A bad drugs trip can be a trigger for psychological problems, but Peter was obviously always a very sensitive soul and I think it just confounded the problem. I always compare him to the star that burns twice as bright...it can only burn half as long. We are just lucky that he had the support around him so he is still with us to this day. I was lucky enough to see him play on his "And Friends" tour in 2010, it was a very special night for me and I am so very glad he has found some peace.
