That buying a car feeling is so true. While I am still paying my car off, its been over a year and I still look out the window and do double takes when I am out. Like this is mine. I am paying for this. Just being in a position to be able to afford a car is nice. For most of my life, I was not and I don't take it for granted.
I had a really weird one where I almost paid off my Leaf so I was almost at that point and I was so excited. I then realized I could finance a Tesla and found the perfect opportunity and went for it, which meant trading in my Leaf. The dealer asked me to pay it off to sweeten the deal so I did. It was surreal having a car I technically owned for a brief moment to trade it in. I got the title in the mail a bit after and it just felt so...I don't know another word that fits other than surreal. Drove the title to the dealer (3-4 hour drive) as an excuse to drive my dream car. lol

Congrats! You described car ownership to a T! I paid my Malibu off in 2022 after 5 years and the feeling was epic! For those entire 5 years, I just couldn't believe it was my car and often caught myself going random places just to drive it lol. Yeah it was nothing fancy, just a Malibu but I loved it. However, I lasted one year of no payments before I traded it in July 2023 for My dream car: a Cadillac and now I have that new car elation all over again lol!
Bro your side quests got to be the most insane things I've seems, you went from owning a whole reptile rehabilitation business to one-wheeling around Gettysburg, to trying to pay off a car with Amazon flex
I have a 2024 Model Y Long Range Tesla, and I totally get you, while it is my normal, every time I look through the window and see it there, I'm amazed, every single time I get inside it, I'm excited. I have FSD and I don't even have to drive it, but it feels awesome, to go to the parking lot, and not having to walk the whole way, having the car pull up from the parking lot and look for me, people look at it amazed that there's no driver inside it, just to see it stop next to me and watch me hope in in the driver sit. Then from there, the car drives me to my destination, and I can enjoy the scenery a bit more than when driving. Still, whenever I want to drive by myself, which I do once a day for a bit, it feels like I'm floating. It's a totally different feeling when I get into a regular car.

It does save interest. If you look in the fine print, loans are generally accruing interest daily. Make an interest payment along with your regular payment. Then all of your monthly payment is going towards the balance. That’s why it takes so long. If you’re paying a minimum payment, you’re mostly only paying interest. That’s why it’s the minimum.

I 100% think that Amazon flex is a BAD idea. The amount of miles you put on the car, it’s worthless. You can buy a 2019 Tesla model 3 long range AWD for about $22,000. And you’re at almost 150,000 miles. Keep your current car, and just chill. Don’t finance a new one. Having no car note is a BLESSING.

Not sure how I got recommended your video. I have been consuming alot of Tesla content the past few months so....anyway, I can totally relate to you on your Tesla. I feel the EXACT same way. Ive had mine about 3 months and I still feel the need to tell ppl (or say to myself) how much I love that car. I rented several of them before purchasing and I regret staying on the fence so long. Anyways, I really enjoyed the video overall. You sir are a true hustler. And quite mature for your age. New sub.
Congrats mister🍾💰🏎️ 18:12 but you play too much though 😇😂. I really like that you aren’t just doing Flex in perpetuity without a plan. I’m the same way and have an end date in mind for when I plan to shut it down and no longer need to do it for additional income. Although Flex has been around since 2015, times are rapidly changing and who knows when Amazon will abruptly change the program or disband it. So it’s smart to strike while the iron is hot. 👏
Teslas are awesome. Have a 2023 model 3. I am looking at used model x’s also because they just don’t break down. Yes, there’s some repairs at times but nowhere near the repair cost of other used cars. Batteries typically go out between 250,000 to 300,000 miles. Maybe the drive unit on older ones, but that’s basically it. Brakes every 100k, tires, suspension, and wiper fluid.
Same story here. Bought a 2022 bmw 5 series while working at amazon part time and being in collage. I didn't buy the car new i cant afford nearly 70k car but I still got it from a dealer at a good price put a good down payment and financed it for 3 years it has low miles, clean title and with 3 year warranty. The amazon job is enough to pay of the car. Many people are surprised at the car i drive while being a 19 year old college student, maybe it was a stupid move to buy such a car the insurance is high and God forbid it breaks down the service is very expensive but i still love it and dont regret it.
I did this for years full time. If you keep your expenses low. Wake up early and keep pushing. It can be your 9 to 5 while you work on a 5 to 9. Podcast that educate you while driving. Save. Embrace your hobbies. Turn those hobbies into profit. You’ve just created a path to complete and total freedom from meaningless work.
139,996 miles in 4 or 5 years is INSANE. I have an old 04 mustang that’s only at 117k and I’ve only put 8k on it since I purchased it in 2020 for $1k. You’re a wild man.
I would be interested in a video on your thoughts of running ( and closing) a business. As someone who has/had several ventures operating at once ( UA-cam, gig apps, animals) how did you structure the businesses ( sole proprietor, LLC, independent contractor) your experiences with it and would you do things different. If you can make a 30 minute video on paying off a car loan entertaining I have confidence you can do the same with business structure.
You’re willingness to work and the fact that you’re paying off stuff at a young age and so determined in your investments shows you will have a great future keep up the great work man very inspiring 👏
I didn’t realize I’ve gone so long without watching a video from you! And what a video it was. I really needed to see this. Like you, I’m young (with aspirations) and got myself a Tesla as well, bit off more than I could chew, and now I’m using it to deliver people their UberEats orders in order to pay the note 😅 It’s refreshing to see someone that did the same for their own reasons as well.
Inspiring stuff man, makes me feel like I could get a new tesla and work extra to pay it off in a few years. I'm actually in a better financial shape than you were when you bought your tesla. Great stuff new subscriber, hoping to see where you go with the channel!~
I’m the same way. It’s satisfying paying off loans. Money really isn’t real honestly. Use money to have fun and do whatever. As long as you don’t overdo it of course. As long as you’re enjoying your time ya know?
Damn man thats so badass you still have that new car feeling after all this time! I’ve had over 15 vehicles the past 3 years and nitpicked them all of them after a few weeks. I know the feeling you’re talking about, and thats a good feeling!
Doing flex is smoother to do with an EV. Unless they send you to farmland usa with no chargers in sight in frigid cold. In 2 years of flex ive only had 3 issues with that. The gasoline savings is tremendous, plus no oil changes is a big savior with the miles you drive.
yeah i love it. i've borrowed my friend's gas car to do some shifts and it wasn't nearly as efficient - time wise, let alone gas money wise. i occasionally have to hypermile it to a charger if im way out there, but honestly never get range anxiety
So I drive for a living as well and I used to fuck with coffee every day. I was more of the dessert in a can double shot kind of guy. But it was like $6-$8 a day on canned coffee. I ended up switching to gamer sups because it's like 100mg per scoop and like 100 servings per container. I've been saving a ton a money with it. I still get coffee as a treat every once in awhile but idk I like their flavors and it's easier to keep around in my truck!
Dude you did what everybody should be doing, paid off your car. Most people put themselves in spiraling debt from housing to car than credit cards. You're ahead of the curve, well done
Gotta do this with the new Prius, the poor mans Tesla lol, always loved watching the Prius evolve (had it's ugly years) but 2024/2025 is a really nice revision and it'd be a great starter car at half the price + more than likely reliable
Loved this video. Amazing editing. The praying mantis hitchhiker was cute, also. Fully agree on so many points. I was watching the used market for Model 3's (and old Model S's) for years and years. Eventually I found a job that I could reasonably do on the side to pay to finance one, so I went for it. Took a lot of headaches, but I found a '19 Model 3 Long Range with FSD and talked them down to $25k to get the federal tax rebate (they didn't apply it as the dealer but I'll get it in tax season) and my state is giving $5k for buying a used EV so it breaks down to $16k+interest. SO cheap for a Tesla. To top it off, the previous owner left me the floor mats and it had a protective coat. Because it's a Tesla, I get all the updates and my 5-year-old car with only like 30k miles feels like a brand new car. I feel so happy every time I get in. It never gets old. (The FSD is also entertaining to use.) I didn't even know Amazon Flex was a thing. It's probably not available here (waitlists aside) but I do wonder if there's something like it I can do on the side. Probably Door Dash. The amazing thing to me is that I could even commute to a larger city to do this sort of thing. (Previous car was an old Leaf that'd only drive 60 or so miles max on a charge so this 300ish is wild.)
NICE. yeah that sounds like a great pick, especially under 25k. i suspect they're likely at the best part of the depreciation curve to purchase one today, still very reliable but have lost like half their value
@@GoHerping Yeah. That's part of why I went for it. I saw the value of Teslas were just plummeting and I had to get in, because I know the actual value of them is way more. Started hearing about it with the Hertz rentals being sold off but those would've been slightly risky with the high milage plus probably not taken care of. Hopefully, when I decide to move on to the next one, I'll get a nice highland model used or by then the model S with Steam support will be reasonable used? Would be cool. Either way I don't think I could go without FSD. I love it so much.
Try static hanging to build arm strength, then once you can hang for a while try pull ups and chin ups. That'll help you build musculature. Try a video on static hanging exercises. 💪🏽
An easy "side hustle" that my bf did for a little while is donating plasma. They had thing where for the first month you get $100 per donation (2x per week) then after that it's usually like 50-70$ per donation. Once you get through the initial setup for it it's usually like an hour long to be in and out.
I'm so jealous because I have an online acquaintance that does that for some serious money and here I am with a needle phobia and blood phobia. There's no way I could do it. Last time I tried to do a blood test, I contracted a fever and almost passed out.
Actually it does make a difference to make multiple smaller early payments instead of larger slightly later payments. Interest is calculated daily even though it is applied monthly.
I just payed off my lexus of crypto this year, and it feels sooooooooo amazing not having a car payment, topping off my 401k is my next goal. Love the vids keep it up!
Our stories share a lot of similarities. Currently two years in on owning a 2020 standard range model 3, still owe around $30,000. Been doing uber full time and also picked up a trailer and started a side hustle which is couch flipping. Sold over 20 so far and I plan to keep going until I can get this thing paid off! I subscribed and I’m looking forward to see what you do going forward, I’ve had many moments where I questioned my journey, but this has really motivated me! Great job and I wish you more success and lucrative thinking💪
My dream car was my alien green 2019 Kia soul + (bought in 2018 for $16-18k @ 3%). I finally paid it off in 2023, it had less than 20k miles thanks to covid. I LOVED that car and was so proud of myself. The universe thought otherwise and decided to place a deer in the middle of the road one night, and my dream car was totaled in an instant. 😢 Please be safe on these streets.
Serious question; why are car payments so normal in America? Why don't you just buy a car within your means instead of wasting your money paying interest on a loan for a depreciating "asset"? I just don't get the logic
i think it's 50/50 due to the fact we finance everything and that it's better to get a reliable car on finance than buy an unreliable one in cash. obviously you dont have to pick the cars i do - but i do think the peace of mind is worth it to people. and then yeah, i mean you walk into any store in a mall, on amazon, anything, and it has a "finance" button. so it's just normalized to generate more revenue
Because in America a lot of people are concerned with an appearance of wealth. Stronger minded Americans don't do this silly behavior that leaves people with less than they could have had. I don't pay the banks I make the banks pay me, that's what true wealth is. I don't care if my car is almost 20 years old it is free to own. My car payments get invested instead of going in to rich people's pockets.
I bought my 2024 Mitsubishi Mirage in September of 2023.. Yes, 2024 car bought in 2023.. I don't understand either. I really enjoy driving it, the want to get in and drive it for any reason has not faded at all, I've put 35,000 miles on it in a year and right now actually, I am itching to drive it again but have no reason to drive right now.
great video, could you talk about the expenses owning your Tesla such as cost to charge, cost of insurance, have you had to replace the tires yet and how long does it take to charge it? I also have rented rooms out to people who refused to pay but want to live for free and i had to clean up after them, i try to be nice but i get ripped off with way higher utility bills just my electric went up over 250 higher each month than when i was by myself.
Instead of eating fast food spend a day making burger patties out of lentils, chick peas, reduced to sell veg and ground beef. You'll make like 30 burgers for the price of 2 McDonald's meals (buy everything on sale, blend up. Use an egg and flour to bind the ingredients and freeze individually.
IMO you should also consider loan consolidation. Sometimes the interest rates are better than what you currently have. There are calculators for this online.
Meal prep some salads with walmart rotisserie chicken, boiled eggs etc. My meal prep is like $3 a salad and very filling. 1 chicken is enough for 5 salads! I recommend making your own pickled onions. V good
I am so ready to be accepted for flex, paying off my Elantra early would be amazing it's only $101 a month which is very doable but not owing a shark a dime is amazing. When I crave a coffee and spend $5 on one I make sure I buy $5 of what ever brand I just bought from, that interest and DRIP adds up.
It is SUCH a nice feeling having a paid off car. I’ve wanted a M3P for years and almost bought the highland refresh for my birthday, but the paid off civic (at over 200K miles) still works just fine. PS, you may be a skinny little twink, but 20 days of McDs still isn’t good for your insides, eat a salad once in a while handsome! 😁😘

The fact that you can leave packages out like that in America is absolutely incomprehensible for me as a German.
If you can make a 30 minute video on paying off a car loan entertaining I have confidence you can do the same with business structure.
bros yeeting those packages
i don't like teslas, but this video is super inspiring. i might start driving gig jobs again just for the freedom you get!
You’re willingness to work and the fact that you’re paying off stuff at a young age and so determined in your investments shows you will have a great future keep up the great work man very inspiring 👏
I didn’t realize I’ve gone so long without watching a video from you! And what a video it was.
I really needed to see this. Like you, I’m young (with aspirations) and got myself a Tesla as well, bit off more than I could chew, and now I’m using it to deliver people their UberEats orders in order to pay the note 😅
It’s refreshing to see someone that did the same for their own reasons as well.
Wow great video. Really took me along with your trips and thoughts. Very refreshing. Keep it up my dude.
thanks!
Damn man thats so badass you still have that new car feeling after all this time! I’ve had over 15 vehicles the past 3 years and nitpicked them all of them after a few weeks. I know the feeling you’re talking about, and thats a good feeling!
Same. Thats me with my 2023 crv.
The discipline vibes on this video is amazing, Nice.
Great video :) really enjoyed listening to your inner thoughts.
My man is doing community work with his new car. Love it. I want to buy a bmw 540 and do uber time to time with it. Just for the fun.
same feeling as you, same age. 2022 model 3. 43k miles. still feel the same excitement!
(The FSD is also entertaining to use.)
I didn't even know Amazon Flex was a thing.
He’s already got a few videos about his rock climbing and other athletic interests.
@@laurajm3694Yea, in another video he said he wanted to gain more musculature. So I am making a suggestion.
Still love looking at my model 3. It was such a leap from my 2004 Camry that poured water on me when I brake on rainy day
An easy "side hustle" that my bf did for a little while is donating plasma.
@@kyleb8117 I feel ya, I hate needles so I can't do it either. I get so much anxiety with blood tests and get light headed too.
Respect for the hard work man❤
when you talk on voice over of your intros, you reminded me of the guy with a list on how to survive the zombieland.😊😅 no disrespect at all.
7:20 that’s me with both my Japan imports. I still turn around at the oldest one that’s 32 years old 😂
Doing four $100 incremental payments definitely saves you interest versus a $400 payment at the end. Interest is calculated daily.
Which pays better: Amazon Flex or a combination of food delivery like: DoorDash/Uber Eats/Grubhub/Etc?
Actually it does make a difference to make multiple smaller early payments instead of larger slightly later payments. Interest is calculated daily even though it is applied monthly.
I just payed off my lexus of crypto this year, and it feels sooooooooo amazing not having a car payment, topping off my 401k is my next goal. Love the vids keep it up!
Yeah, gonna need to see that repair breakdown video soon.
NICE. people are really sleeping on towing with their teslas lol. people would def watch you flip couches if you ever have the urge to film
@ For real! I’ve thought about it, might give it a shot
There is no feeling like working for something you now own, paying off a car is such a flex 😅
Please be safe on these streets.
I just need a picture of their feet had me kackling
Serious question; why are car payments so normal in America? Why don't you just buy a car within your means instead of wasting your money paying interest on a loan for a depreciating "asset"? I just don't get the logic
i think it's 50/50 due to the fact we finance everything and that it's better to get a reliable car on finance than buy an unreliable one in cash. obviously you dont have to pick the cars i do - but i do think the peace of mind is worth it to people. and then yeah, i mean you walk into any store in a mall, on amazon, anything, and it has a "finance" button. so it's just normalized to generate more revenue
@@GoHerping God damn, I guess you guys are just in general more comfortable with debt than the rest of the world
Seriously! I just bought a $7,000 used Honda. It runs great and is in almost new condition.
@@sparrowhawk8539 True
I bought my 2024 Mitsubishi Mirage in September of 2023.. Yes, 2024 car bought in 2023.. I don't understand either. I really enjoy driving it, the want to get in and drive it for any reason has not faded at all, I've put 35,000 miles on it in a year and right now actually, I am itching to drive it again but have no reason to drive right now.
18:14 Congratulations Alex on coming out 🎉 we now expect you to publish videos of what your boyfriend looks like
@2:35 that’s wolf creek near state! I used to deliever pizza years ago. So cool you’re in NC 🙂
Definitely can relate to you 🙋🏻♂️I’m the same way.
I totally relate to your mind set with loving my tesla M3. i am not looking forward to any other car. I'm happy and good with my purchase
great video, could you talk about the expenses owning your Tesla such as cost to charge, cost of insurance, have you had to replace the tires yet and how long does it take to charge it? I also have rented rooms out to people who refused to pay but want to live for free and i had to clean up after them, i try to be nice but i get ripped off with way higher utility bills just my electric went up over 250 higher each month than when i was by myself.
i subscribed 😁 keep goin bro
Instead of eating fast food spend a day making burger patties out of lentils, chick peas, reduced to sell veg and ground beef. You'll make like 30 burgers for the price of 2 McDonald's meals (buy everything on sale, blend up. Use an egg and flour to bind the ingredients and freeze individually.
IMO you should also consider loan consolidation. Sometimes the interest rates are better than what you currently have. There are calculators for this online.
luckily all my rates are good :) basically the last thing i need to pay off now is my credit card, but it's 0apr til june!
At least you work on your own keep grinding you are definitely going to be financially successful with your great work ethic❤
This is a video about how anyone can achieve what they want if they put in proof of work. You are an inspiration to many.
