Now that my 3 state road trip is over, I’m getting my Y full ppf matte finish on Monday. I wanted to do it when I picked it up, but didn’t have the time before work forced my road trip. Better late than never 😁
@@Stephielifts Well... my road trip has killed my paint job, somewhere between Las Vegas and Barstow I was coming up behind a dump truck on interstate 15 and it was spewing a ton of sand, rocks and dust. Now I have a claim in to get it repainted, new headlights, mirrors and probably a new windshield too. I'm so annoyed that I didn't have time to get it done before I had to go. But nothing I can do about it now. At least my license plate frame was OK😁. Animal friendly, people not so much. 😁
Since you first bought the Y, do you notice alot of paint chips on the front bumper? Wonder if a front ppf is better than just repainting or adding a new bumper later.
No. Hardly at all. Where I notice it most is actually on the side of the car. If I could go back I would have had the entire lower part of the car done on both sides. Probably the Front too just to be safe. I have the front PPF to install but I'm waiting for warmer weather. I'm at 21,000 miles now.

Agreed!! Glad you’re doing it. You’ll definitely be happy you did.

@@jdude2509 well that’s certainly sucks but hey, nothing you can do about it now. Like you said. Same way I feel. The matte should look cool!
I've been wanting to use the same kit but my car had carbon ceramic applied in the past year.
I was thinking about doing that. How’s that worked out for you?
