when we bought our 2000 Ford Ranger the first set of tires we got were Wrangler in the mud tread and it ran so good we used them the entire time we owned that truck . for 20 years every time we got tires we got the same wranglers they worked in mud and had decent grip in the snow so being out in the country living on the farm they were great to have. we sold the truck 3 years ago being in New York it got unsafe to drive so we ended up selling it to some one for parts and it rolled out on it's last set of Good Years . sorry but I grew up and used Good Year my whole life you can't beat a good safe tire and after 50 years of driving they never let me down
I've put 15,000 on a set of Mickey Baja Boss ATs. Haven't had the chance to roll on dirt beyond packed dirt and graded fire roads, but they are unstoppable. Had some snow early this year and they just crush the white stuff and plow through like an Abrams tank. They are quiet and smooth. They just kill my fuel mileage by about 3 mpg. They also kick up rocks and pebbles. Use a pair of long curved tip pliers to pull rocks out of the tread.
