I’ve used biossance eye cream for 2 years. Very sensitive eyes & no issues with this. I’m 66 yo and have tried a lot of high end eye creams; so far, this is the best. Also the nite lactic acid treatment is excellent. I researched sqalane, after using The Ordinary products for a few years; when I read biossance had an eye cream with it (and algae a bonus) I immediately purchased the eye cream.....no regrets!
Love the docs, great advice...and happy to hear they support my choices.😎

Hi it's nice to see eye creams not getting a bad review from Doctors on youtube. I like using an eye cream, as the skin around my eye has a need for a different texture to my facial skin. I have very dry, menopausal, rosacea and eczema prone skin and need rich creams for my face, neck and chest. Despite also having very dry skin around my eyes, the skin there is thinner and needs a slightly lighter texture to be comfortable. I'm careful to pick eye creams with decent INCI lists including a higher amount of peptides for daily use. At night I use a retinaldehyde eye cream, as the lower level of retinaldehyde in the eye product is better tolerated than a facial cream would be. I sometimes use a little balm at night on top, if my eyes feel super dry. I like squalane as an ingredient and even as a single ingredient oil. The oil can be added to moisturisers etc to boost the emollience on days where I'm extra dry. Best wishes.

Love your videos! So so helpful. I just wanted to ask you to mention products that help with sensitivity once we use a product that causes irritation - I tend to get sensitive when I use new products at times so, what’s the best product(s) to help with the redness and irritation on the skin.

I just discovered this channel and video. I LOVE it. I am actually allergic to squalane. I have Ehlers-Danlos and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. One of my huge flares was caused by squalane in biossance. I’m the Murphy’s Law of people. Of course there are no documented cases of squalane allergies in the literature…

I received a sample of the Biossance Squalane +omega repair cream and loved the smoothness and gentleness of the cream. I am 69 yrs young and am trying to follow Dr. shaw’s pyramid for hyperpigmentation as well. I have very dry skin and have tried various moisturizers that also contains peptides. I will update you on the Biossance Squalane +Omega repair cream in a few weeks. BTW I and so grateful to the two of you for inspiring me on this journey of skincare at this stage of my love. Sending hugs for the two of you🙋🏻‍♀️

I love Squalane!! This popped up while I was patting on my Biossance peptide eye serum. I first started using the Inkey List squalane and realized my skin loved it. Biossance came out with their sunscreen and when I ordered it I also got some of the minis of their other products and now I am sold. Ordering the minis is a great way to try out these products before you invest in the larger sizes. I am testing out the lactic acid from Biossance now and have purchased the large sizes of the eye serum and eye cream. If you like squalane order the Biossance minis and see what you think!!!!

@Megan Ossowski I have only used it twice trying to add it slowly once a week. I seem to tolerate well and thought it was great. Hopefully that continues...this is my first time to use lactic acid and have been using the PHA toner from IL 3-4 times a week so I think its a good step up.

Thanks for another great video. My little bottle of Inkey List Squalane oil was a life saver for me when I was traveling a lot for work. It really helped combat that dried out feeling you get after a long flight. A little goes a long way so you only need the TINIEST drop on your face.
I used to think Biossence was expensive but I now realise it's actually cheaper per ml than the Inkey List. I may have to try it!
PS: Dr Maxfield, that colour looks amazing on you :)

The one “ingredient” that helped with my eyelid dermatitis (which *sucked*) was Aquaphor, lol. I was prescribed tacrolimus which burned and made me feel miserable. Aquaphor was occlusive enough that it let everything calm down.

The reasons limonene, linalool etc are listed on any product, is not because they have been added separately but because they have exceeded the non- declarable amount allowed in skincare. They are potential allergens contained in those plant extracts/essential oils etc further up the ingredients list, so people who know they are sensitive to these ingredients are made aware this product contains over the non-declarable least irritating/sensitising amount. It’s a compliance regulation required in some countries, depending on where they are made or exported to.

Hi guys! I just found this channel and I LoVe It! Thank you for taking your time to bring this information to us!
I have a question that's not related to the video and I didn't know where else to put it... I've been seeing a decent amount about "Argireline" lately, and how it's being dubbed as "Botox in a bottle!" I was wondering if this something that's actually beneficial that I should look into, or just a new, online, buzz ingredient?
