- This stage one kit works on both Ram and Grand Cherokee Eco Diesel. Find them at CFTPerformance.com
AS ALWAYS THESE ARE USED FOR OFF ROAD USE ONLY AND DO NOT WORK WITH OUT A 3RD PARTY TUNING!
This video is Super out of date and we have change up the designs of our products!
All Automotive products go thru a revision over time.
Do to EPA rules we have been forced to STOP all Videos, Install, Info of automotive products.
If your EGR start leaking coolant coolant won't go into intake, but will still get into exhaust and kill DPF.
If you want to cheat you better block off coolant supply lines that go to EGR valve. In this case EGR valve will stay "dry" and coolant won't go anywhere. This make sense if you have to keep your EGR for visual inspection. The best way is to take it completely off.
Again any of this will require ECU tune.
Do you have a video on the stage 2 kit install?
also looking for the Stage 2 kit?
Hello sir. I’m interested in doing a stage 1 delete on my 2017 Ram Eco diesel. After you remove the tube, do you have to re-tune your engine so no check engine or emission lights come on? If so, can you give me information on the tuner you used? Thank you.
We still did not get an answer if this causes a need for a retune.
It will require a retune.
Will removing the diffuser tube cause my truck to go into limp mode or cause a check engine light if I don’t get the ecm tuned?
Can you do a stage 2 install??
Would you recommend doing the egr cooler delete as well?
Does it throw a code after that? Looking at other questions, they don't seem to come back and answer.
That doesn't impress me... Much.
yes, you will get an error code if you don't have a tune. states at the beginning of the video this works with the basic GDE tune - 15 seconds into the video.
Sold the truck a month ago...
So does this need to be tuned for this or no?
yes.
Will a GDR tune work? Will it prevent the check engine and emissions lights to go on?
Do you need to tune out a code? I assume you will get a code if there is no flow detected.
I think you need a tune to avoid any CEL. I got a Green Diesel Engineering hot tune in my Ram ecodiesel, which it will work with any delete.
What problem does this fix exactly? Will it throw a code?!?!?!
It fixes the problem of exhaust gas being routed back into your engine. That throws greasy soot into your intake, fouls your oil, and reduces mpg by 2 - 3 mpg. Keeping the soot out of your oil could greatly increase the longevity of the engine.
yes, you will get an error code if you don't have a tune. states at the beginning of the video this works with the basic GDE tune.
Will it work with other tunes?
I had an egr cooler failure, is this a potential fix?
a fix would be doing stage 2 or full delete
What we really need is an EGR tube with the sock on it that is blocked. Something that totally stealths the fact that the EGR valve and cooler is just along for the ride. This kit is fine if your warranty is up but lots of us are about to get a warranty extension out to 148k miles and don't want to lose it. Blocking off the factory pipe and running the GDE tune would be ideal.
go to lowes and get slightly longer bolts. use this kit between the difuser tube and EGR.
Warranty extension? What? How do I get in on that?
Can you walk me through what I need to do because I'm about to buy a 2016 with high miles and want to do preventative work like this. Please anybody
adrian sears I have a 2015 1500 ED with about 60K miles. With every oil change i do an EGR tube, MAF sensor and air filter cleaning.
@@adriansears7015 did u end up buying? How many miles? I found a 2014 1 owner Jeep Grand Cherokee with 166k looks and sounds great but the stories online make me a little skeptical
