I absolutely LOVE that light blueish-opalescent color of the glaze on the first porcelain test bowl and the mix on the sake pourer! It's beautiful!

I actually really love the way it mixed with the second bowl with randy's red. It's super cool looking. Can i also just say i appreciate as a newb coming to this channel that you create a lot of masculine type stuff. I have been looking around for pottery channels and it's a lot of feminine or SUPER bright colored items. Don't get me wrong it's beautiful i just like seeing something different.

The water adding devices actually can be quite pricey I was lucky to find one at a church rummage sale for $2.00. Seriously thanks for the recipe, tests, and especially the in depth look at your usage of it.

Thank you so much for making glaze, and making it fun! I LOVE the last bowl that you didn’t like because the colors don’t mix .... it reminded me of some underwater sea creature , and even looked turtle like! It’s beautiful! I want to make it! Thank you for making me want to try this! Keep the glaze videos coming !

Hi, thanks for putting up all your videos! I think I am at about the same level as you, so nice to learn alongside you. Wondering if you ever do any other testing of glazes, like glaze fit tests where you submit the test tiles to boiling and freezing temps to see if they craze? Also, I’ve been testing tons of clears and found one I like although all the clears ive tested have bubbles that show up under the surface and make the glaze look cloudy. Do you ever get that, and do you have any thoughts as how to fix it? I’ve read that maybe the pieces are too wet when they go into the kiln? Appreciate any thoughts you might have!

My manganes dioxide is not sieving xD no matter how many times I pour back and forth. The glaze does look grey in the jar but I have tons of little manganese particles on the sieve that are not going through :(

Donte, what mesh seive did you use? I tried an 80 and couldn't get all the material to go through (newbie glazer here). I went to the 60 mesh and it still didn't work for all the material. I had to use Lithium carbonate instead of spudomene because I didn't have any of that.

I found an excellent source for hardwood ash on mr dirtfarmer. It is free of all debris and is a fine powder perfect for making your own glazes. There are some good books on amazon for making glazes. If I am eating and drinking from something I want to know it is a natural safe product.

I thought the same thing it was very opalescent! What a gorgeous glaze. Not the color per se, but I do love Gray. The opalescent depth, shine, smooth glass it's really a bitchin glaze❤️!!
