I love how supportive the shows are for each other, it's sweet!
This is so cool. US Soaps never do this sort of a thing. The closest was when Jeannie Cooper who played Katherine Chancellor on The Young & The Restless 1973-2013 until her death along with Christian Leblanc (A Distant Cousin Of Matt Leblanc (Joey Friends) who plays Lawyer Michael Baldwin visited Springfield on Guiding Light during the show's last week on the air in 2009. They played different folks but it was fun. Jeanne wanted to do it to pay hommage to her former Late Boss Bill Bell who got his start writing for Guiding Light. Co-Incidentally Mr. Bell graduated from Northwestern University as did Agnes Nixon another US Soap Legend Creator which was the Alma Mater of The Duchess Of Sussex.

Bear in mind that Neighbours had plenty of time to do one, whilst EastEnders was reacting in a very short window. Still the effort was nice.

Bahhh! If you know a bit about Neighbours and EE. And you have a good writer, producer etc. Then it shouldn't be too hard to come up with a decent, funny 3 minute clip. Even in a month.
There wasn't much of a likeness to Neighbours at all, apart from Jason Donovan appearing in it. It really only shows a lack of knowledge of Neighbours.

I would love for Victor Newman to visit Albert Square and have it be discovered he's a distant relative of the late Dot Cotton. Have Jack Abbott go to Emmerdale, and enjoy The Country Air, and meet Ethan to discuss European Distribution Deals for Jabot Cosmetics, then have Phyliss go to Hollyoaks and but heads with Mercedes McQueen.

You know what would be funny if they for one day did an Opening Sequence copying US Soaps. From The White Background on Y & R, the Lighthouse with Clips of each Character on Guiding Light, The Photo Album on All My Children or The Still Photos from The Bold & The Beautiful. Next year I would love for Eastenders, Hollyoaks, and Coronation Street to have Characters intertwine with each other. Have Paula, Sophie, Billy, Sean & Paul go to The Club in Walford, Have The Baileys meet The Truemans and have Chantelle visit Emma and talk about Daddy Issues, better yet have Harry and James visit Paula and Sophie and talk about May/December Romances. Also Coronation Street now surpassed Guiding Light as the longest Running Soap Opera to be broadcasted on TV (57 For Guiding Light, 59 for Coronation Street).
No doubt Aunt Babe would be a villain in either Neighbours or Home and away.
My 2 favourite childhood soap operas combined. I thought the corrie eastenders children in need episode was enough to satisfy me, but this short video has made my life complete. How have i only just discovered this?????
Excellent tribute to Neighbours 30th. It'd be great if they all flew over here or vice versa to do a combined effort, still it looks like they enjoy making them outside of their busy working schedules.
I'm hoping for a CIN Crossover in November. EastEnders meets Neighbours.

That is so nice great tribute, both sets of casts really seemed to enjoy doing their tributes.
I think that The Coopers from Guiding Light would be fun to have on Albert Square. They lived on 5th Street which although wasn't as gritty was the Blue Collar Section of Town. They could be distant relatives of Mr. Papadopoulos whose real last name is "Kouperakis". They run Cafes so they could help out, and some are Police Officers so they could speak to folks about things that happen.
where's Phil Mitchell? I was hoping he would knock Ian Beale's block off at the end.
Come to think of it... Phil doesn't really appear in any of these specials, does he? I don't think he's ever been in any Children in Need segment either. Admittedly, EastEnders usually does a song for CIN, and his voice doesn't really suit a song, but still.

It was so right that Adam Woodyat did the Speech congratulating Neighbors 30th Anniversary. In the US Jerry Ver Dorn who played Ross Marler on Guiding Light from 1979-2004 used to wish The Fans a Happy Holiday Season during Xmas where the Cast Members and folks behind the show bought in their Real Life Familes ie Husbands, Wives & Children.

When I first heard the Neighbors Them, I thought it was for a Comedy Series. I would give anything for Coronation Street, EastEnders, and Hollyoaks to do Crossover Stories since they will celebrate their 60th, 35th, and 25th next year in 2020.

Another funny "Visit" would be The Coopers on Guiding ight who are Greek (whose real last name is Kouperakis) they could come and say they are distant relatives of Mr. Papadopoulos. Or The Winters/Hamilton Family on Y & R come to Albert Square and have them do some consulting on The Clubs/Bars/Cafes. They could hang out at The Truemans and have some delicious Carribbean Food. Have it be discovered that Victor Newman is a distant relative of Dot's or have Callum hanging out with Phillip Chancellor IV aka "Chance" since they were both in The Army or even Rafe Rivera from Guiding Light. Have Dr. . Ed Bauer talk to Phillip Mitchell about the seriousness of his Drinking and talk about how Alcohol Abuse affected Three Generations, himself, HIs Father Bill even his Niece Hope. So many storyline ideas.
