In 1971 I was a teenage runaway waitressing at Hollywood's C.C. Brown's. And that year at our holiday boulevard parade the Romper Room lady stopped and came to our storefront, giving me a 'Do Bee' sticker. I'll never forget it, or her. Was it you? Anyway, I've since led a full and wonderful life after those troubled years of youth, and I'll never forget my lovely Romper Room lady, whoever she was...💖

I will be 70 on my next birthday. I grew up with Romper Room in Brooklyn , NY. We had Miss Maryanne on Channel 9. I loved all the routines and structure of the show. It was so comforting as a child. I grew up and became a teacher who taught primary grades in NJ for 39 years. Romper Room was a big influence on my life. Thank you for your service to all children !🤗🤗🤗

I am slightly giving away my age (21-plus, LOL), but my 'Romper Room' teacher was Miss Joan Thayer. I have vivid memories of watching it at nursery school with my teacher and schoolmates.

I used to watch, hopefully, to hear my name. It never happened. Haha, finally, at 60, I’ve been listening to a man called Fireside Reading, who reads a chapter of a book every night on Instagram , then later uploads the chapters on UA-cam. It gives me the greatest pleasure to hear him say my name, and I always think back to Romper Room.
How strange to stumble upon the lady with the magic mirror all of these years later.

my mother sat me and my sister at a little table in front of the tv when Romper Room came on. There was also a cartoon that played sometime in the show and the kids were given milk and cookies ( i think) And my mom would give us milk and cookies too . I was 9 in '69 and my younger sister, Julia Joann (aka, JayJay), was 4 and I remember watching Romper Room with her! Whenever I hear the words, " Romper Room" , I think of my sweet sister (who passed away from cancer in 2002 at the young age of 37). This show brought light into our lives as young children! I can’t believe this came up on my feed. What great memories. My brother and I were children on Romper Room. My ball rolled into a Cameraman one time and after that my brother was asked back for more episodes , but, not me. 😂

True, true story....when I was a little munchkin, the romper room lady, can't remember which one, was looking through that magic mirror and said, "I see Mary Jo!"....my ears perked up "Mary Jo"? Not just "Mary" but the whole shabang...first AND middle name. It gets weirder. She then said, "Why are you still in your pajamas, Mary Jo?" Strangely, I WAS still in my pajamas...can't quite remember why...maybe I was home from school sick. I responded by hiding behind the closest chair because this woman was seriously freaking me out. She then said, and I report with hand over heart, "Don't you hide behind that chair, Mary Jo!" To this day...I harbor a strange aversion to magic mirrors and avoid them best I can.

I loved it! I was on Romper Room in Savannah I think twice. Our next door neighbor was Miss Kaye and my mom and her were best friends. I loved it, and when I was sick she would see me in the magic mirror. I think how I ended up was when a child was sick I was probably a fill in. Such awesome memories.
