  • Starting in the early morning of August 19, 2022, Transit Toronto editor James Bow boarded the 29 Guelph-Kipling GO Bus at Guelph Centre GO station for the run into the big city. Sticking his camera to the front window of the top level of the double-decker bus, he shot this video of his journey. Commute into Toronto as the sun rises, and the Dawn Riders plays as accompanyment.
NOTE: Not long after this video came out, a dedicated service between Hamilton, Guelph and Kitchener launched. Thanks, Metrolinx!

Thank you so much for the detailed video of the trip! I get really nervous at stations so this video helps me mentally prepare myself ☺️

Milton, Guelph and Waterloo should all have service to Hamilton or Oakville. I was disappointed when they discontinued the 20 Milton-Oakville bus.

Yeah, I don't understand the stubbornness of not providing service (at least several times a day) between the three municipalities, other than a few trains a weekday now between Kitchener and Guelph. I mean, you might as well never have provided a GO train to London either at that rate. Sad, because we just sent off a whack of ADL DD's off to private folks (which is okay too, sure) instead of using them on a limited basis to allow for such expansion. I wonder if Hamilton, K-W, and Guelph folks have been pushing for it, change is only as strong as those push/campaign for it. No one should have to travel to Mississauga or Bramalea to connect up.
