And justice for all needs to be higher, also where one clean harmony with like 153 guitars layered? And justice for all has two amazing counterpoint melodies, deserves top 3
St anger actually has a lot of good shit if anyone cared to listen… and before anyone says shit, rest assured, I don’t care. So keep your comments to yourself, where they belong. Frayed is probably the best for me.
I agree with you. The unnamed feeling is the best song on the album. The riffs are all rly good. The album has a personality and charm that is missing in the new records. The live in studio version is 10x better than the album version. Better performance all around. No shit snare, better vocals, etc
@@user-il4ul5js3v I just made my wife listen to it tonight. Every song is a favorite. Except loverman. I could have done without that song. It’s done well but it’s too rapist for me
I think the one from end of the line is great but yeah it doesn’t really fit the song What about the second one from frayed ends? In the pre solo riff?
@@therealikitclaw8124 oh, it definitely is. I was lucky enough to see the band with Cliff at a time when they were actually working to be inventive. I’m not hearing that any more (and that started 20 years ago). If you can still enjoy them after 40 years and you feel they’re going from strength to strength then good on you.
@@nicolasmonteverdehorlent7712 Oh crap sorry i didn't see the too at the end of ur comment. I thought you were making fun of me for having sanitarium as number 1. My bad.
It's weird to see how Metallica cannot make heavy songs as time goes by anymore... Even if they wanted to. It looks like they lost their Thrash Metal vein. If they would like to play Thrash of course...
I can agree for the most of the songs in the order they are in, but I feel like inamorata should be higher up on the list. That whole minute and a half harmony is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever heard in my entire life. That whole song is put together very very well. I agree that song definetly makes the album for sure
Can I just say thank-you for pulling this together and your commentary. We can all argue over what should be number 1 or what's missing from the top 10 (and I think you're a bit harsh on the last 2 albums, esp Hardwired). But, there's so much shit written about good and bad metal, esp about Metallica, without any insights, analysis or original thought offered (just copy and paste 'I stopped listening after the black album'). You've done the work, pulled this together and put your considered thoughts about the merits or otherwise of a stack of awesome music. Chapeau!
It's crazy that you didn't include And Justice For All outro and it might be 2nd for me behind Sanitarium
Putting fight fire with fire at 10 is criminal
And justice for all needs to be higher, also where one clean harmony with like 153 guitars layered? And justice for all has two amazing counterpoint melodies, deserves top 3
Never let bro cook again

Too far gone gives me goosebumps everytime
The End Of The Line harmony (Like the song itself) is shit on the album but live it transitions into this amazing song.
I think the intro creeping death harmony is one of the best
This is like the first decent ranking I have seen
Alternative title "Metallica harmonies"
No Unforgiven II?
Blackened - all harmonies were played by Hetfield in studio as well on all other albums (1983-1991). Kirk played leads only.
wtf this video
I think the one from end of the line is great but yeah it doesn’t really fit the song What about the second one from frayed ends? In the pre solo riff?
Btw fade to black outro wasnt cliff's. It was Kirk
Cliff wrote the harmony tho. Kirk wrote the melody
Bro, the way you extended the Room Of Mirrors harmony makes it sound way better, it should've been like that in the studio version.
This has probably been said a thousand times but I've only just noticed that the Eye of The Beholder one sounds a lot like To Tame A Land...
This is interesting but every time is see yellow in the corner of the video I'm skipping forward....
That sounds like a you problem

No way Welcome Home is your #1 harmony too
@@user-il4ul5js3v naaah is Welcome Home too, is one of the best builds ups ever written and probably my top 3 metallica songs
@@nicolasmonteverdehorlent7712 It is my favorite metallica song of all time.
@@nicolasmonteverdehorlent7712 Oh crap sorry i didn't see the too at the end of ur comment. I thought you were making fun of me for having sanitarium as number 1. My bad.
@user-il4ul5js3v no problem, english is not my main lenguage so I'm responsible of the confusion too
This is the worst list ever on probably some of Metallica best work, I don’t approve this list!!!
Room of mirrors is so dang underrated, i wouldve put it way higher than just 15, and fight fire goes in my top 5
My top 5 are: Atlas rise My friend of misery Blackened To live is to die Room of mirrors
I just love guitar harmonies bro
It's weird to see how Metallica cannot make heavy songs as time goes by anymore... Even if they wanted to. It looks like they lost their Thrash Metal vein. If they would like to play Thrash of course...
I was expecting to see the harmony solo in the middle of sanitarium but i'm glad that the outro solo got the #1 spot
Terrible list
To live is to die and sanitarium are the two best
Horrible fuckin list lmao.
ok
You need to mention the reversed intro... As it should have been originally. It really sounds better imho
Everyone knows blackened's intro is reversed
Battery Intro still my personal #1 harmony intro ❤
It is pretty amazing
Blackened gives me chills every time. No wonder Ajfa is my favorite album
There is no way you put blackened worse than Atlas, rise!
You’re dead wrong about 45 end of the lines harmony is bad ass
My friend of misery worse than inamorata? Really?

can we all appreciate that all these gems are from a single band?
Eye of the beholder is 🔥🔥
atlas, rise! It's very good to be in such a low position, the harmony that this song has is beautiful and very satisfying to listen to
100%👌🏻
Your opinion sucks lmfao.
Putting the best song ever written at number 42…. Fight me 😊
Well i believe sanitarium is the best metallica song 😊
The best harmony is in Fade to Black coming out of the last vocal before the guitar solo. It is pure despair. #4
You just summed up the reason metallica is my favourite band
They're my favorite too.
Weird. The end of the line harmony break is the highlight of the album for me.

Great listing
You should do the same with Maiden
I've only listened to like 20 iron maiden songs
@@user-il4ul5js3v what a pitty, Maiden has a lot of great harmonies parts so I invite you to check out more of their songs ;)
i don't get why the master of puppets hetfield solo is a harmony tho
It's dual guitar. One guitar plays in E minor and the other in G major
Eye of the beholder is underrated and better than every song on 72 seasons combined imo of course
This list is way out of order...
I beg to differ on the holier than though harmony. Its definitely a head banger
