Watched the replay and loved this Jackie. You did an excellent job of demonstrating how to use the machine. I purchased the machine but haven't taken it out of the box yet so this was fun to watch. Also saw your video of using the embossing folder. It is always so fun to see what you are going to demo next--thanks for all your tips and tricks.
Thanks for the information. I’m new to die cutting and I’m wondering if there is a difference between certain dies. For example I bought a Happy Birthday die that doesn’t cut through. It is mostly a solid die. Is this an embossing die? Or am I doing something wrong? I ran it through the big shot 4 or 5 times and it didn’t make a difference. Also, I really had to crank the handle. It said to use the base plus two clear plates and it was hard to turn. Any help would be appreciated thanks 😁
Hi, I was wondering if you slightly angled the die ? If you have straight edges on the die it should always be angled a bit. Also a shim of printer paper helps, you don't need much.
I am always struggling with my cut and die machine! It’s so frustrating! It can take me half an hour before I can actually cut one piece! Always struggling with the alignment. Any tips for me? I’m using the small one from StampinUp
If you are having troubles keeping the die in place you can use a piece of washi tape to hold it where you want it. Also, a small piece of a post-it-note will work also to use as "tape" on top of the die to hold it where you want it.
@@KlompenStampersJackieBolhuis I gauge by the paper weight and around NZ, there are paper weight listed on the front page. Hence I was wondering how thick or how heavy it is. GSM = Grams per square metre
🇨🇦 new to die cutting. When I die cut a stitched rectangle it cuts the stitched part right off the paper. I just get a clean cut. I want the stitches to show. I followed the directions. Tried other plate orders but it doesn’t work. Can you help me? Thank you
The stitching should show. It's hard to say what's going wrong without knowing what you're using. Make sure you're using the correct "sandwich" for the plates. And a mix-match of equipment can cause issues too. For example, the Stampin' Up! dies are made to work with the Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine, so you can see errors when trying to use different machines. And if you're doing everything correctly, there is the chance that the die is defective.
These videos are so helpful! Thank you!
