I finally understand how to use the embossing folders thanks to your great tutorial! I was having such a hard time to get it to work for me. I learned that I was using the wrong plate for the 3D Embossing folder. Thank you so much!

I absolutely love my new machine! I love how beautifully it performs and the compact design. I looked at another machine similar in design and returned it almost immediately for several reasons. One reason was true handle is recessed. I found it difficult trying to lift it or reposition the machine. I was so happy to see the Stampinup machine has a handle that is stationary and easy to hold onto. It’s definitely a high quality product.
It is such a great tool! So easy to use & take to workshops! Introduced it to my last class and I had two attendees order one on the 1st + the magnetic plate! I'm excited because it sells itself! 🥰

Can I still use my thick steel rule dies with this machine? I noticed you turned everything around when you demonstrated right and left hand abilities, and when embossing it needs to go in a particular way. Does that mean I need to turn the sandwiches around if I need to cut through thicker papers or when using intricate dies? Can't I just go back and forth? I love your blog and enthusiasm.

I like the features of the new Cut & Emboss but I am disappointed with the function.....I’m hoping it is operator error...I am finding the #3 plates are warping much faster than my Big Shot plates did, even with constant flipping. After one week (and 36 cards) I have reordered a new set! My other problem arose with the original Subtle 3D EF. It felt so tight I was afraid to push it through.... I resorted to a custom sandwich instead of what is suggested. I want to love this machine....I hope you can help!
I have a Cuttlebug only and have been considering a larger machine since if I want to cut larger dies, they don't fit in the Cuttlebug. Does this new SU machine have the same size base as the previous machine or is it smaller? It is hard to tell in the pictures and videos. I also have other brands of embossing folders and dies so am happy to see that I could still use those in this new machine (although I have mostly SU and use them the most anyway).

I have watched every video I can find on the new machine. I am having really hard time cutting intricate dies, I am following the directions using plate 1, 2 , 3 cardstock die and plate 3. I am not weak but rolling is almost impossible. Is this always going to be so difficult or do you have other sandwiches that work? I really like my new machine but hurting my hands is not good. Hi Connie. I contacted my SU rep but she does not have the new SU cut& emboss machine. I have the SU Big Shot. I have so much trouble making sandwiches for embossing folders. In previous catalogues, how do we use Country Floral 3D types. I’m considering getting the new machine but do not know if I stamp enough to warrant the expense. I’m in Canada or YOU would be my provider. You are a constant for new ideas and information. Do the colours of embossing folders in the catalogues mean something?
I just got my new Cut and Emboss Machine. I would like to know why when cutting thin dies following the directions my clear plates both get marked. The plate on the bottom show the cutting lines but the top clear plate also is marked I was understanding that the top clear plate would remain clear. Can you explain that to me. Thank you

I have noticed when using the foil paper and a die that you just want to show the impression of a leaf with die that you need to put card stock over the piece you want to have impression of. That way die won't cut foil.

It looks exactly like the Cuttlebug. Are there any differences? I was disappointed when they stopped offering Cuttlebug because mine is old and I will need new plates.
Is the sandwich for the 3D folders the same as the Dynamic ones? I thought I saw something somewhere as to what the sandwich should be for Dynamics, but can't find it.

I have been happy with it, but it is old so I have been looking for another bigger cutter, so when SU released theirs I was excited order it. Thanks for the very clear and informative demo. What might be the reason for purchasing the mini? Travel? Easy use for die cutting small flowers, leaves, etc. I’m trying to decide which to buy if I just purchase one. I currently have an electric machine.
I currently have a mini from sizzix I use with smaller dies. I feel the smaller sized machine is gentler on the smaller dies. Several of my ‘ladies’, (including myself) can’t wait for the mini to come out.
@@simplysimplestamping I have and my mum doesnt know why either im going to contact stampin up tuesday. its doesnt allow the plates to cut and i even try embrossing some cards and its doing the same thing its simple doesnt allow the plates to go through and i try everything my big one is fine but my mini isnt xx thank you for reply to me tho xx

What type of Surface is your counter that your machine sits on. Laminate, quartz or what? Love that dark grey speckled. I am shopping around for countertops for my craft room. Thanks for the machine demo.
Connie I am sorry I bothered you but just wanted to figure this issue out. My demonstrator does not seem to be interested. I guess I will just call Stampin Up and see if they can help.

I would like to convert some wood mounted stamps to clear/cling mounted. Any tips for doing so?
