yeah, I've heard clear goals and breaking things down into steps are important because your brain can't estimate the probability of success of a nebulous, ill-defined task
This talk was truly inspiring. His story of overcoming adversity and becoming a leader despite the odds is so powerful. I appreciated his honesty and vulnerability in sharing his personal experiences, including the loss of his father and his own near-death experiences.
A tree can't reach to heaven without it's roots going all the way to heII. Sometimes we have to hit those lows in order to understand and appreciate just how high we can soar. Thank you for this reminder Israel.
Israel Duran's TEDx talk on the master key to leadership and business growth is truly inspiring. His personal story of transformation after a life-threatening car crash in 2018 serves as a powerful reminder that discovering your purpose can unlock everything you desire and dream.
Very compelling story. Great that you choose to harness it for good. Someone else could have that same story and use it as an excuse for why their life is a total mess. But you turned your mess into a message to inspire others to get out of their own way and life full, die empty! Proud of you my mentor @Israel Duran.
Oh my days when he talks about dying in the pool and feeling his fathers embrace I choked up so much. What an experience Israel and how beautiful that you were saved in this way.
I get why some people are questioning the 'borrowed time' remark but I think he just means our time here is finite, and we need to understand that every day we're here is a blessing and shouldn't be squandered.
It's so easy to let our own fears and doubts hold us back from achieving our goals, but if we can learn to get out of our own way and seek help from others, we can accomplish great things.
Definitely agree that you have to have a clear picture of what your purpose is and what you're trying to achieve. You can't just be ambling throughout life waiting for your purpose to come to you.
Israel talks about the importance of having mentors and peers to help us along the way, and I think that's such an important point. We can't do everything on our own, and sometimes we need to rely on others to help us achieve our goals.
The point he makes about that car accident taking him outside of his comfort is huge. A lot of the time, even in retrospect, we don't realize that we've been in a rut, that some huge disruptive event that might seem scary and awful is actually a wonderful blessing in disguise, so long as we get our mindset around it correct
His personal stories of overcoming adversity and becoming a leader were truly powerful, and his messages about being a visionary leader, living life to the fullest, and getting out of your own way were all incredibly important.
The fact that his dad left him a key and showed him that being a visionary leader is important is so powerful. It's amazing to see how the speaker was able to take that lesson and apply it to his own life, becoming a successful leader in his own right.
I love the way he words this, "a man whom I choose to believe represented my fathers will for my life." We really do have the choice of what to believe and I think this is a really beautiful thing to choose.
I love the straight forwardness of asking people when they're gong to serve their purpose. Most people don't know their purpose, let alone when or how they're going to serve it so to get people thinking about it is so important and motivating.
I very much admire the symbolic beauty of what he says about his fathers will for his life. It's not hard to imagine that a fathers will for his son would indeed be this strong.
His message about being a visionary leader really resonated with me, and I think it's something that anyone can apply to their own life, regardless of their background or circumstances.
The story about his dad passing away when he was young is so sad, but it's also incredibly inspiring to see how he was able to turn that tragedy into a positive lesson.
I see a lot of people commenting on the licence plate - personally I understand the power in reminding yourself of something that forced you to grow because it placed you outside of your comfort zone.
This is an amazing example of what you can achieve when your focus is concentrated on exactly what you want. Well done for all you have achieved and thank you for all you are trying to preach her.
Ultimately we choose the narrative of our lives and I think choosing to believe God sent an angel to save you from drowning as a child would be an incredibly motivating focal point.

I wonder what it is about our psyche that so often we don't understand the things Israel talks about here until we hit that rock bottom. Or maybe it's the experience of working our way back from that place, and the strength we gain during that process that allows us to find our purpose?
What he talks about around the 4:00 mark is something I don't think people really understand, you need to share your vision and bounce your ideas off other people, especially when you're in a leadership role. Otherwise how do you know if you're on the same page as your team?
This is a really beautiful overall message but it's kind of convoluted and I honestly I couldn't even tell you what the 3 secrets/revelations/discoveries were, it wasn't super clear to me
Thank you for your message. Perhaps this can help clear it up: 3 Revelations, 3 Secrets, 3 Discoveries - Are All In These: 1) Learned From My Dad's Early Death 2) Learned From My Drowning Incident 3) Learned From My Car Crash
I'm so confused by this talk, on the one hand he talks about how you don't have to die or lose your mother or father to have this realization that he had... after he had an NDE? You can't say, I arrived at this knowledge through these steps, but you don't have to take those steps you can just have that knowledge. How do you know the message is as poignant without that experience?
Well obviously he's hoping that people don't think they need to have an NDE or hit rock bottom to find their purpose... But as you said and as history would inform us, we must walk our own path, our own journey, to truly understand our purpose in life. To quote Billy Joel "we didn't start the fire, it was always burning, since the world's been turning. We didn't start the fire, no, we didn't light it, but we tried to fight it".... Take what we can from the experiences around us and keep trying to fight the fire but finding your own fire within.
Thank you for your questions, to clarify, the pain and sacrifices I went through I don't believe you have to go through as well to receive this truth: I need to release my gifts to the world now and I need to go after my conviction before I leave this earth. Even if I am in business, leadership or another area of gifting.
I'm sorry I'm really struggling to take this dude seriously. How do you know what motivates great leaders? I guarantee you it's not the fear of death for all of them. It's the desire to implement change. Or maybe we're not thinking about the same leaders.
I'm sorry call me cynical but that story about him dying as a child is pretty sketchy like, why was no one watching him swim? Where was he that a complete stranger would have access to being able to save him, without anyone seeing him, and then not sticking around to be like hey who is responsible for this kid?
I thought the same thing. I didn't know at the time but I believe that it was an angel that was sent by God to save my life. Thank you for your message.
The idea of having a clear purpose and vision is so important for achieving success, and I think Israel did a great job of conveying that
I think this is a great reminder that even in the face of tragedy, there can be lessons to learn and positive outcomes to be had
The idea of being on borrowed time really resonated with me. It's a great reminder to make the most of every day.

What's with the dramatic reveal?
yeah I don't know...
The part about getting out of your own way is incredibly poignant and something I wish I'd learnt earlier
It seems that everyone I know either has to have a NDE or hit rock bottom before they're able to figure their purpose out
I relate to that- it sometimes takes a lot to shake us out of a state we've persisted in for years
