All the different musicians he played with through the years and the variety is astronomical. He will never slow down, the dexterity and endurance of someone in there 20s. But his best work to date is the most recent studio album and band......Mr.Bungle! Technical thrash metal at its finest. I haven't heard a metal album like that in 20 years. No bullshit. Raging wrath of the Easter Bunny demo. Hardly a demo credibly well done. Trevor Dunn Scott Ian Mike Patton Dave Lombardo and the virtuoso trey Spruance. A beast of a fuckin record.
Dave still cares about his craft and still wants to improve. Lars gave up and feels he doesn't have to improve because he is already in a extremely famous band. Sad really.
