      It's unfortunate that all that detail is lost. There are many shades and undertones with darker skin. The limitations for tattooing his skin were not taken into consideration here imo. That's why you see alot of tattoos on dark skin looking green and faded even when it was just done hours before. There are some tattoo artists that create color palettes based on skin tone.

    • @IagainstI.
      @IagainstI. 5 років тому +35

      @@solointheburbs definitely disappointed to see this constantly. It isn't that hard to accommodate darker skin for tattoos IF the artist is skilled. It just seems like they overshaded the hell out of it all over instead of creating proper contrast as needed.

      Bianca Jingles you really shouldn’t disrupt the scabbing it should fall off on its own, wash cloths are bad for fresh tattoos since they remove peeling skin you should only rub gently with your hands. Also indented lotion shouldn’t be used at the peeling stage I recommend aquafer with is an ointment that hydrates the skin and you shouldn’t drown it in ointment either

      Unfortunately you can tell these guys don't tattoo dark skin very often. The artist spent 4-5 hours adding white ink, which will be gone in a month. He also used lighter grey shading for details. Give it 6 months, those details will be non existent. Although this guy can tattoo good, he made some rookie mistakes.

    I received a total of nine Sak Yant tattoos from a Buddhist monk who had been doing them for more than twenty years. Went to see him with Thai friends, outside of Chiang Mai in northern Thailand. It was all Thai people there. I was the only westerner. There were no tourists.
    The monk questioned me before agreeing to tattoo me. Using a long metal spike called a “Khem Sak”. The cost is a donation of what I think they are worth to me. A LOT less than $2,000.00.
    Very painful to get. Namo Buddhaya 🙏🏼 ☸️
