I'm Korean and have lived in Korea. Not sure if you have been to Korea or are Korean, but a lot of us are not like this and if we are it's mainly elders.
While I think this documentary is very nice and positive in a whole, as someone who knows what Asian parents and cultural norms are like I can tell you that that was not her parent's true reactions. There was a camera crew, bunch of strangers there. They're not going to go off on their daughter in front of people like you might see in America. Asian cultures value family honor and to publicly do something like that to your child is embarrassing and wouldn't happen. If that was their true reaction, power to them and power to her. But I personally believe as someone who has been in situations like this that once the cameras and strangers left, there was a whole 'nother conversation.
in korea in TV shows, the blur out EVERY tattoo or make the person with tattoo cover it up with patches on their skin and i feel like theres still that kind of boundary of criticism against people with tattoo in korea
I was on tv before and they approached ME for it but then blured out half of my body because it was august so i was wearing a vest Including my neck and we talked about my facial features with a huge blur almost going onto my face just because i have a 5cm black sun on my neck... how can you ask to interview someone and then treat their body like obscene? I understand older peoples beliefs but how can my tattoos which include a korean hanok building , an old idiom and a memorial for comfort women and 2 CATS be so disgusting to you? Horrible.
@@claudiasrandomvideos7097 since rappers are getting big, like in the entertainment sector of korea, people are slowly adapting but like i guess the old people and some people still have the stereotype of a gangster if they see someone w a tattoo
Fuck Korea they are close minded and behind the times, they care more about aesthetics then common sense. Stop caring what people think. One person wearing a hat does a crime, are all people who wear hats criminals? One person with boots commits a crime, all people with boots criminals? One person with a tattoo commits a crime, all people with tattoos criminals? Oh please, where's the sense. I feel pity for their small minds but i do not excuse them. One word, mature. The world has matured, how about they open their horizons. Hawaii natives used to use tattoos to symbolize strength and honor, so did the Romans and cultures the world over. Koreans have been brainwashed and manipulated into dressing and behaving in certain ways. Their social stigma is a reflection of their close minded insecure control freak excuse of a government. They dress neat on the outside but inside they are ugly and have been tainted with lies and prejudice. "Care what other people think and you will always be their prisoner" -Lao Tzu
For a country ruled by plastic surgery it always surprises me how against tattoos they are. I always get stares with my ink when I'm in South Korea. The younger people find them super interesting but the elders definitely give you stink eye
Good point! I never thought about it in that way! Unfortunately in Korean culture, there’s misconception/ stereotype that people with tattoo is gang associated. It is very important to keep your body clean as you honor your parents that They gave you a good body. I would like to get an someday but my dad is still against it.
in the old days - the most evil oppressive people have tatto on their body - for Eastern Asian - Tattoo is evil reincarnated itself - you'd simply can't tell us it is Alternative Beauty - doesn't work that way - when everything else fails - you guys will start labelling us Backward or against modernation - sorry for disturbing your Market Shares in this part of the world - try other World Market to sell your tattoo like Vietnam.
When I lived in SK there were so many younger ones with tattoos, and I even got one there, but there are definitely more common to have small discrete tattoos.
Every Asia countries does that because tattoos are only for criminal and gang members. It is just a culture where they scare of Yakuza and other criminal syndicate.
it seems kinda fake, the girl met her one night at the club and the next morning she tells her to come to her home to reveal her tattoos to her parents all of a sudden
I’m guessing she probably said, “Hey, we’re doing a documentary about this” or, “I have this documentary idea I’d like to do if you’re interested.” So that’s what she called her the following morning, because they probably asked her to think about it.
I know right? She makes it about herself, didn’t even bother asking how Seulji feels, cool name btw 😎. The mom looks like where Seulji gets her spitfire from.
I agree. Grace trys to make the moment about HER again instead of focusing on the huge impact she just made on this randoms girls life all for the sake of a video
filming what felt like a private moment, with grace being there, was like okay... but after the conversation, all we hear is grace talking about her own experiences. was this video about grace or seulji? it just kind of felt like seulji was used to bring the conversation back to grace. all the stuff she was saying, the audience actually wanted to hear from seulji and not grace.
@Ferri Liu what is your problem with white womem?? What the fuck is happening in the western workd?!What is with all these negative, demeaning comments about white people amost every video when there s a white person on a western platform?!
Moon Jar You are right. I had my piercings when I was 3. My mom says “You were looking to the mirror. When you see your earrings you started to cry. When we cover them you stopped crying.” But I don’t remember this times.
The narrative Girl is totally smitten with this Girl. Also....I could see the dad actually meaning what he was saying; but, that mom! Hell no! That mom is gonna have a major discussion with her. I don’t know if this was a good idea. Like, it’s not like they were friends before....she was a random stranger encouraging her to confess something big to her parents for the sake of a video....yeah, it seemed a little inappropriate.
HINAMO more than anything, I just felt it was for show that they did and said what they did for the camera. And so the idea that it was a win seemed inaccurate and inauthentic. I think the dad really seemed alright-but not the mom. The fact that she has a reaction of almost crying...I mean, Korean culture is also about appearance-and the fact that there was a foreigner and a camera definitely impacted their responses.
Korean dad : why do girls want to get piercings? My mom : I just gave birth to my daughter and now I shall gift her with piercings My grandpa: NO WAIT! we should buy real gold for her earrings
I only got my ears pierced at 13😂. And to compensate for having to wait so long I have been getting a new piercing at the end of the year since I turned 18.
In Japan, the only people who have tattoos are thugs and the infamous Yakuza. Their tattoos symbolize who they are and what gang they are with. So, yeah, I can see why South Korea would have the same mindset. When Japan took over Korea in the past, they tattooed the ones they took as slaves. Like branding horses or cattle. So, yep, I do understand why it's viewed as bad. But, there are K-Pop artists that have tattoos. So, maybe this mindset will fade away over time.
I live in SK and they don't feel this way, though. Older people, possibly, but Korea has changed quite a bit in the past 10 years. A majority of people 30 and under have tattoos now, hidden or not, and it's become super common. It's not illegal to get tattoos, and not technically illegal to give them... there are a ton of shops here who advertise on the street... and it's very very easy to get one.
Im not sure if its only yakuza or thugs anymore, but I think now to these days they are not the only ones, there is a stigma but normal japanese people are gettings tatto too
In Japan most ryokan or onsen will turn you away or kick you out if you have tattoo. If your lucky and it's small they may let it slide or just not notice, sometimes ask you to cover it. My first experience after getting married was with the whole family at an old ryokan. They where totally cool with my military style tat. The big kicker from that experience was the fact that due to it's extended history of operation it still allows mixed bathing. The heart attack I had when the rest of the fam came in too. orz
@@defechan7486 I have a thin tattoo across my chest and I have always been able to cover it up while in Japan, I've been to capsule hotels that even keep that brown skin tape ready to cover it up on the way to the showers/baths. @@Muffincaek Yeah smaller are easier to cover. I find that as time goes on more places are ok with just having you cover if possible. After 22:00 probably way less customers coming so there not as concerned. Some places have private family baths you can book a specific time. My first exp.. was right after our wedding back in 2012 so 7 years ago about give or take couple months. That's not the only thing my wife and her sister did to try and shock me back then either. We went to Kabukicho. T-T bars omg... so diff than west. One place the ladies let you grope them wile you get drunk. Another place the dancer was playing with her self on stage. She even brought me to see a um... how say brothel/dating agency/hookers with out it sounding really bad. Hard to explain but similar to how they get away with gambling/pachinko. I kind of think she was curious how it worked too, not that either of us actually partook in the service. Was Q/A kind of thing. We learnt a lot that day. Including fact that even underage teens do this stuff and legally get away with it. Only a crime for a minor "statutory" if it's proper coitus. Everything else is a ok within the law. Although i'd imagine if people in your neighborhood knew this is what you did you probably get jumped around the corner. It's still frowned on by gen public. Gunna get a bad rep.
when seulji and her mom started crying, it definitely hit me. i'm 23, chinese-vietnamese, and i currently have seven tattoos. my parents don't know, and i even have one on my wrist. my parents told me when i moved out that i couldn't get any tattoos or they'd disown me. i guess it's the sigma that i'm the oldest daughter and that to them it's trashy and whatnot, but i moved out and i'm an adult. i had always wanted tattoos and when i was 21 i got my first. i'm not nearly as tattooed as seulji, but i always cover up when i see my parents and i avoid seeing them. i don't want to go on vacations with them or see them in the warmer months. i grew up drawing, painting, and now i'm in school for graphic design, and i hope one day that will lessen the blow when i reveal to them that i have tattoos. i hope that they react like seulji's parents.
I have one tattoo, and my dad who is Portuguese literally said " I am glad it isn't in a visible area" it is placed on my nape and if I put my hair down no one can see it or if I wear clothes too. I hope you are able to tell your parents. Finally, you are an adult, and you are old. So, what if they disown you? Sooner or later they will forgive you if they love you.
b king your comment towards this person is disgusting, if you don’t like tattoos don’t watch a vid on them and leave people who do have them alone. They don’t bother you so don’t bother them.
I hope the part of them disowning you is a melodramatic overreaction and not actually true. I understand cultural norms, standards and what not but there is a fine line between respecting a culture and/or following it and doing something so cruel... just because you don't want to conform to several rules. Someone might say total freedom over one's own body, lack of fucks being given to many cultural standards and respecting one adult's harmless wishes are western ideals incompatible with others (such as Asian). I beg to differ, they should be universal values. I hope your parents accept you, because whether they like it or not they raised you and you are their flesh and blood forever. Good luck.

Would've been a really interesting video if it just focused on Seulji instead of the host. Like, this video is about tattoo/body modification culture in SK, I don't need some british "activist" (whatever that means) taking up like 50% of screen time. Also, she dragged a camera team and some random stranger she met at a club into her parents home to show them her tattoos? I'm not buying it lol. There was not a single better person to take along with you as emotional support than some random british girl with tattoos you met at a fucking club the night before? Not your best friend? Or some other friend that also has tattoos? I find it hard to believe Seulji doesn't have any other friends that are into tattoos/body modifications. I really hope the host/Vice didn't push or manipulate her into dropping this bomb on her parents... because you can be 100% sure there's gonna be a second conversation after the cameras are gone, and that one is gonna be a whole lot different lol. Showing her tattoos to her obviously pretty conservative parents could have some bad consequences for her... that's like coming out as gay to your old-fashioned, christian parents. That's a big decision and should 100% be your own decision. And after watching the video, I have my doubts that it was 100% Seuljis own decision...
F1-RACECAR-PEEK I thought you said you didn’t believe this video is real? Therefore why would you be worried about the conversation she would later have with her parents...

In my culture we two types of tattoos which are traditional and hold HIGH VALUE in my culture. One is for the girls which is from the top of the thigh to the knee and one is for the boys which is from his waist down to his knees. Both different in style but hold the same value. My culture is a polynesian island called SAMOA and even the word tattoo derives from our word tatau.

I was stationed in Korea twice, and I am working on two sleeves. I remember being at the Changwon bus terminal and being refused a cab while the cab driver pointed at my arms and did this 🙅🏻♂️. I’ve also been pushed on the street. And the greatest was when I was on the train the day of Ultra near Itaewon and an old man yelled and pushed me. Followed me out of the train and kept yelling at the top of his lungs. Many middle aged Korean men had to block his path in order for me to get out safely. It was great.
Alondra Garcia yooo, same. I was in Uijongbu and Seoul (was at Hovey/Casey) and I was like, wtf; that’s a dumb reason to not give me a ride. It was only a 6,500 won drive back to the metro; so we just kept trying (my buddy and I). Eventually we got back to hovey and got wrecked on 2 soju towers and a kettle in the Ville.
David Wilder lmao sounds about right. I was stationed in Chinhae and it’s super traditional. Even my chain of command told me to hide them, I didn’t lol
2:34 is grace serious?? seulji is the one going to finally reveal her tattoos to her strict parents, so why is the camera aimed at grace as if she’s the one the video is about? seulji just stands with her back turned alone while grace is talking about her own feelings. even when seulji told her about being verbally harassed by an old lady, she was smiling. and as seulji and her mother were upset, she also smiled.. this seems like such a sensitive, personal topic. she sat there while seulji came clean to her parents and although it wasn’t her intention, it just felt intrusive..
Luciana S you know that smiling is also a defence mechanism to calm down your opponents. She is definitely not smiling because she thinks the situation is funny. You should read a book about social interactions to delve more into that.
The interviewer comes across as extremely self-absorbed, even when apparently telling other people's stories. And I mean, really, how much more loudly can a person scream "LOOK AT ME!" without actually using their voice? lol.
It's hard in Japan cause its stigmatized with Yakuza, so if you have a tattoo no matter if you're a local or a foreigner you're not allowed in hot springs and some/certain public areas.
Gosh... Grace, don’t make it about yourself. She seems to be a very egocentric person who wants to be in the spotlight. I hope it’s only the editing... A little annoyed....
inunooshiri based on how she’s so egocentric in the video and the body modification she has I don’t think it’s just the editing, I think she just wants people to notice her and pay attention to her
maybe the reason that she’s doing this is because seulji isn’t particularly comfortable talking about what she feels. and grace has asked her exactly how she feels, and seulji has told her and has explained her feelings - maybe she isn’t comfortable talking alone in front of the camera, a lot of people are like that. and please get that this is a foreign narrative onto a very restrictive society. so grace is just saying how she feels to experience this first hand which must be strange for her since she comes from a very different background to seulji.
There's nothing quite like taking a person with eye ball tattoos whom you barely know to break the news to your folks anout how heavily tattooed you are lol AWESOME! 🤘🏼
One of my co-workers is heavily tattooed, one lady called her a gangster and refused to let her be around her child (we work with children). Everyone else thought it was because my co worker was black, but I explained to them some of the stigmas surrounding tattoos in Asian countries and we realized that was why the lady had said that, and it allowed us to react better to the situation
Giancarlo sol especially if they’re from America even though they were originally forced to be there as slaves? You would think American Blacks would have more compassion due to their history

I feel like this was a family moment. I would never think of using this for content. They could’ve reacted very differently than this cause Asian parents are strict
I saw this before (though, I think this has extended footage) on Grace Neutral's "Pins and Needles" show. Seulji is a gorgeous woman and her tattoos are spectacular! I am 56 and have loved tattoos for over 30 years. I had a few, small tattoos that I kept hidden from my parents. My Dad said to me, more than once, late in his life, that "you better not get any tattoos." I was pretty terrified they'd find out - and I was 50 at the time!! I was just scared of being disowned by them - and I'm an american. Now that my parents are gone (sadly), I have been able to enjoy my tattoo addiction. Now I have a 1/2 sleeve and a 2/3 sleeve and keep adding to my collection. I feel like I'm making up for lost time. It is sad that I couldn't do it earlier - I wouldn't have enjoyed it - the fear of being found out would have been too great. I hope Seulji does well. 💞
I didnt expect that.. I thought Korea was chill about tattoos because there are so many extremely good artists there... thank you for doing this, it is really important that the acceptance grows further, everywhere...
Allison Linner that’s not how asian parents think most of the time, from personal experience, they’re very disappointed and aren’t yelling because there were other people there
All I want to say is, don't get this done to your eyes, people. It is highly dangerous and it can/will leave your vision impaired. (It also does not look good, regardless of what you may think now) Tattoos are fine, but let's not normalize this particular mutilation.
Yunie Nothing wrong with informing people that tattooing your eyes is incredibly dangerous, some folks may not know that. You can't make good decisions if you are not well informed.
@@commoguru I agree with informing part, but not with the "It also does not look good, regardless of what you may think now" and "mutilation". There's nothing wrong with informing people like you said but I don't think they need to judge people's choices like that. And even if they think so, people are free to do whatever they want of their body.
Yunie I think you missed the part about tattooing eyes having a high risk of causing permanent blindness. It has nothing to do with "how it looks" & everything to do with it being incredibly dangerous.
@@commoguru No I didn't miss it, I just didn't mention it because like I said, they're right, so I have nothing to say about it. But for the "how it looks" part I didn't invent it, it's just up there, so yes it has something to do with it.
Women with tattoos are beautiful in their own way and the same is for those who do not have them. In my island of Puerto Rico is perfectly fine for folks to have tattoos, and so is for my wife who is from the Island of Guam. I was judged by family as well because of my tattoos even questioning my capabilities of being a mother for my 3 kids.. But those are not a hendrance for me to prove them they are wrong I am a single mom of three a finance analytist can fund the needs of my kids and all. To those who would like to have their body inked dont be afraid..let us prove to them that being inked does not reflect who we really are.. ❤ LOTS OF LOVE FROM THE 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
minny Coo it can symbolize something important to you, its a form of art and some people want to have art inked onto their bodies. and its their choice, there is a point of it, you dont get to decide
I CRIED!!!!!!! I relate to this so much as an Asian girl who just showed her mom a big tattoo I got just a couple days ago. I was honestly so scared when I got the tattoo because I kept on thinking about my mom telling me she would disown me. But after talking to her for a couple hours about tattoos and then trying to get her to understand, I finally admitted to her that I got a big tattoo on my arm that I’ve been hiding from her. She honestly took it pretty well. I asked her if she was going to kill me and she said no, I’m not going to kill you. I just don’t like tattoos. And then I hugged her and told her I loved her and drove off~
PervertedSensei I mean that’s why people witnessing a tragedy like for example car crash with fatal injuries get psychological assistance. By your logic you’d leave them alone because they were not harmed (at least not physically). The host may relate to her because she had a similar experience which triggered her emotions.
I kinda feel that that's the important part, less the emphasis on her being an art teacher. Though I'm pretty sure no visible tattoos is pretty commonplace, it really depends on the employer.
the language is so calm. the way the dad/mom talk and explain how they feel is pretty amazing. like most parents over the world the idea that you are my child i will love you no matter what comes through real hard. i would take their words and love and spread it with the success of my life.
Even in the US where tattoos are generally accepted, the main reporter with all sorts of body and face modification would be seen as too much and in poor taste. She's trying to push this agenda that she probably associates as liberation but it's just personal preference. Let's not associate this with some kind of freedom fighting. Would I hire someone with a tattoo: yes, would I hire someone with blatant poor taste: no.
Well but these tastes come from somewhere and that somewhere is for a big part the societies surrounding us... I would prefer to live in a society where the looks of others didn’t matter and her looks wouldn’t be considered “poor taste” as such an environment promotes individualism whatever that may mean to the person. And that comes from someone who doesn’t even have her ears pierced.
@Kamil S Thanks to people like you it probably won't. :) That being said we're closer to such a society than we've ever been before so I'm optimistic that narrow-minded and unnecessarily rude individuals such as yourself will become just an ignored minority.
Omg this is profound. This moment just dug drop into my soul. These girls are brave and just absolutely astonishing. So proud of you for finding the strength and courage to do this. Especially in front of cameras for the world to see. Wow.
People don't necessarily see it as that in places in East Asia. Tattoos have been associated with gang activities, i.e. Yakuza, way longer than it's been seen as art.
Lil H - I mean.. It’s Asia. We’re more on the conservative side. Nowadays it gets a lot better tho, people are more open minded, so does my parents, they’re ok with ppl having tattoos. But still, if I ever got caught having a tattoo, my parents still will kill me. Lol. Sad but true.
What kind of tattoo artists accepts a 13/14yo as their client. That's a bit fucked up. You're not even done growing up at that age, how is that tattoo supposed to look like in 5 years time? Not to mention the ethical part of making permanent body modifications on a minor without the parents even knowing about it.
I don’t think what they did was right- I know that it was hard to hide the tattoos from her parents for a long time but she did it our of respect, it hurts knowing you don’t look or act the way you parents wished you would. I think it was rather harsh taking someone with you to break the news to them, especially another woman who looks like her and has even more tattoos. I think it should have been a gentle approach and preferably alone.
I love this. I have a contemporary tattoo. My parents never assumed that off me or assumed I was up to no good. I was open about wanting a tattoo at a young age so when I finally got one they did not judge. They even encouraged me to get a traditional tattoo. I love this video.
ok im so confused why is the interviewer smiling when seulji said she got harassed by an old woman? why is she smiling when both seulji and her mother are crying? it seemed like she found that funny. idk, rubbed me the wrong way..
In Malaysia, girls usually have their ear pierced when they are still toddlers. Because the parents think they won't remember the pain once they grow up lol
Awww the dads initial reaction was really good tho. And the daughter is doing a really big thing for herself and the way women are viewed in South Korea.
I dont have a tattoo yet but have always drawn shit on my skin and wanted a tattoo. Im at the point now where i just want minimalist tattoos, but i honestly feel like i might be one of those people that slowly gets covered. idk, whell see

I was on tv before and they approached ME for it but then blured out half of my body because it was august so i was wearing a vest
Including my neck and we talked about my facial features with a huge blur almost going onto my face just because i have a 5cm black sun on my neck... how can you ask to interview someone and then treat their body like obscene? I understand older peoples beliefs but how can my tattoos which include a korean hanok building , an old idiom and a memorial for comfort women and 2 CATS be so disgusting to you? Horrible.

Isn't that because gangs there have specific tattoos they use?
Every Asia countries does that because tattoos are only for criminal and gang members. It is just a culture where they scare of Yakuza and other criminal syndicate.

it seems kinda fake, the girl met her one night at the club and the next morning she tells her to come to her home to reveal her tattoos to her parents all of a sudden
@Chae*zone at 2:20 she says the next morning Seoul ji called her to ask her to come home with her to reveal her tattoos to her parents
I’m guessing she probably said, “Hey, we’re doing a documentary about this” or, “I have this documentary idea I’d like to do if you’re interested.” So that’s what she called her the following morning, because they probably asked her to think about it.

The heart attack I had when the rest of the fam came in too. orz

inunooshiri based on how she’s so egocentric in the video and the body modification she has I don’t think it’s just the editing, I think she just wants people to notice her and pay attention to her
maybe the reason that she’s doing this is because seulji isn’t particularly comfortable talking about what she feels. and grace has asked her exactly how she feels, and seulji has told her and has explained her feelings - maybe she isn’t comfortable talking alone in front of the camera, a lot of people are like that. and please get that this is a foreign narrative onto a very restrictive society. so grace is just saying how she feels to experience this first hand which must be strange for her since she comes from a very different background to seulji.

I don't think that's their true reactions, since there's cameras and people there.
i think that "gosh" was more along the lines of "holy fuck what have you done"
Allison Linner that’s not how asian parents think most of the time, from personal experience, they’re very disappointed and aren’t yelling because there were other people there
Mate, she got her ass beat afterwards
Uhm.....nah she got an ass whooping when everyone was gone
All I want to say is, don't get this done to your eyes, people. It is highly dangerous and it can/will leave your vision impaired. (It also does not look good, regardless of what you may think now) Tattoos are fine, but let's not normalize this particular mutilation.
I believe that it's not your problem. Whether you think it looks good or not, it's their choice, not yours.
Can we all just take the moment to say how pretty Seulji is like omg she is gorgeous
Women with tattoos are beautiful in their own way and the same is for those who do not have them. In my island of Puerto Rico is perfectly fine for folks to have tattoos, and so is for my wife who is from the Island of Guam. I think we had more of a funny time getting our family to understand how we met and getting my family to understand that she is not from China. And same was for her...they all taught I was Mexican. I did not realize this till I was serve Mexican food over our first dinner. Lol 12 years later and 5 kids.....I wouldn't change it for the world. Hafa Adai to all the Chamorro's and to all the Boricuas.

Who else got the "Chancleta" growing up?...it's the only official way to get initiated into the family...grandma usually was the first one. And be the one to add "Ketchup" to the pasteles grandma made...it's a sin in our house. Lol

I remember the first time i got my tattoo my grandmom almost killed me..yelled at me..cursed at me..our neighbors even reported me to the police saying that "maybe" im one of those that they are looking for that are using drugs (since that here in the Philippines the President mandated a law about dispursing users, sellers of drugs).. ❤
LOTS OF LOVE FROM THE 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
I’m sorry you had to go through that. Some people are really mean for nothing.
The ink on your skin does NOT determine who you are :,)
minny Coo it can symbolize something important to you, its a form of art and some people want to have art inked onto their bodies. and its their choice, there is a point of it, you dont get to decide
*puts "stupid" on their head*
@minnycoo The person just likes to have one then. :)
Well,in some cases it kind of does.
Unless it's a Nazi tattoo.
The way she pronounced the cities was so calming because she NAILED them
wtf why did you call this in the title illegal tattoos there was nothing in the video indicating of that
quite insensitive type 'clickbait'...
Tattos shopa in korea are illegal

Seulji is hot tbh. Absolutely gorgeous. 😍
bicho valdez, lol how?
bicho valdez, ahh okay. That makes sense😅
Yes she is beautiful her tattoos too
I CRIED!!!!!!! And then I hugged her and told her I loved her and drove off~
lmao @ how the host was tryna relate everything back to herself
it is called empathy. And it’s something you are certainly missing. What is your problem with it? We should all do it.
PervertedSensei I mean that’s why people witnessing a tragedy like for example car crash with fatal injuries get psychological assistance. By your logic you’d leave them alone because they were not harmed (at least not physically). The host may relate to her because she had a similar experience which triggered her emotions.
The parents probably thought she was gonna say "mom, dad .... This is my girlfriend"
My art teacher has a whole arm full of tattoos, and shes an ART TEACHER? Never under estimate peoples personalities.
An art teacher, having art on her arm? I don't see the shocking part about this.
@@drunkenwhaler9507 where i live, some places you cant even work at if you have tattoos.
I kinda feel that that's the important part, less the emphasis on her being an art teacher. Though I'm pretty sure no visible tattoos is pretty commonplace, it really depends on the employer.
If one teacher can get away with tattoos its is deffinetly an art teacher
the language is so calm.
the way the dad/mom talk and explain how they feel is pretty amazing.
like most parents over the world the idea that you are my child i will love you no matter what comes through real hard.
i would take their words and love and spread it with the success of my life.
Yea, I have seen people with major body mods and I think she looks like a clown
@Kamil S yet you can't spell society correctly.
@Kamil S because you're being condescending and a supremacist of a sort.
Omg this is profound. This moment just dug drop into my soul. These girls are brave and just absolutely astonishing. So proud of you for finding the strength and courage to do this. Especially in front of cameras for the world to see. Wow.
people need to chill its just art omfg
People don't necessarily see it as that in places in East Asia. Tattoos have been associated with gang activities, i.e. Yakuza, way longer than it's been seen as art.
@@apsaaaan as long as they arent like holding onto a freaken knife or gun idk why they scared anymore lol.
@@trapsoulx I feel like that went over your head a bit.
There is gang violence. They do hold knifes, axes, and weapons.
She was 14 when she got her first tattoo 😳
I was 13
What kind of tattoo artists accepts a 13/14yo as their client. That's a bit fucked up. You're not even done growing up at that age, how is that tattoo supposed to look like in 5 years time? Not to mention the ethical part of making permanent body modifications on a minor without the parents even knowing about it.
@@lsamoa i did it myself with my dads stuff so its so no tattoo artists if you cant get it from them do it yourself.
@Glittering stars yeah but no one cares these days.
@Glittering stars im 19 now and only have 3 tattoos im not going all out i only did it because i thought it was cool at the time i got it covered up.

I guess she laughed at the old woman situation because she knows these kind of situations too well? idk
And her being there had to make it worse for the parents
I didn’t even realize since I was only staring at the Asian girl
"alternative beauty".. rocks a burberry coat.

My moms are very supportive of my tattoos. They love to go with me when I get them and sometimes pay for them. Idk I just wish all families and people could just be okay with other people’s choices. You don’t have to agree but it shouldn’t affect your love for your child yknow?
