    Man, whole lot more tech in there than my 20 year old sportster. Thanks for the run down. other than tires, I'm the only one that has taken a wrench to the bike.

    Because of my interest in this bike along with being a DIY person I found this video an incredible help in my understanding of this bike! Thanks So Much!

    Personally, I would reconnect the rubos to the air intake, putting the filter outside, where they have gone all their lives. And I would convert all that dead space in the air box into storage.

    Holy crap that bike would be easy to vinyl wrap for customization. That tank and fenders are so simple and easy to wrap with that center console the way it is.

    Smaller billet velocity stacks will probably add a good amount of power. Those are so long!

    I’d love to see someone make an extended shift lever like maybe an inch or two longer. It’s a little short and makes it feel cramped when you shift

    the bike is amazing, I just don't like the exhaust, and I can't find any aftermarket similar to the low rider S model :/

    Good vid bro. Pity the bikes so fugly on the left side.
    Don't think HD makes much aftermarket for it.

    Great video. I just bought mine on Memorial Day and you answered many questions. The new chin straps exposed the mounting holes for either the crash bar or the foreword controls, but not both. I installed the crash bar on my bike. Question-how do I replace the spark plugs?

    • @aztriumphster
      @aztriumphster  2 роки тому

      Nice! Congrats on the newly acquired Nightster! I haven't yet found the spark plug location but I will be digging into this bike frequently, so if I see something I will definitely say so. We have some cool parts for this bike in development already. Not able to say publicly yet but If u get a chance, shoot me an email at dealersupport@dean-speed.com and I'll get u the inside track. Also, ide like to see how your crash bars are mounted up.

    I just got this bike and I'm looking to put a windscreen on. Did you ever find a way to pop open those clips to get that front fairing off? I've thought about using needle nose pliers but I am worried about breaking them.
    Great video! Thanks for this break down!

    • @aztriumphster
      @aztriumphster  2 роки тому +1

      Congrats on the new bike! I would probably resort to needle nose pliers as well. I believe the part u need to compress is metal so less chance of breakage, however I would still be extra careful.

    • @wallapuctus
      @wallapuctus 2 роки тому

      @@aztriumphster The pliers didn't work at all. Turns out you can just pull this thing off. It takes some force, so make sure the bike is stable. This is what the maintenance guide says to do as well!

    • @aaronvisser2789
      @aaronvisser2789 Рік тому +1

      Just pull from the top…that’s how it is designed, no special tools needed, very easy and takes seconds to pull off and put your windscreen on or vice versa. Great design and great bike.

    Indian scout is a very uncomfortable bike + Indian motorcycle parts are more expensive. Both Indian scout and Harley-Davidson sportster S are close to hard tail comfort.

    • @jayteesgear
      @jayteesgear 2 роки тому

      Agreed and I LOVED the scout bobber but there are such few dealerships and theyre screwed by production slowing. I like both companies. NOT a fan of the new Harley Revs.

    did you end up changing the front brake line with a new bar setup? Is it as simple as what you said as to just get a straight banjo to go on the abs module and a fitting on the reservoir and a custom threaded line? Trying to figure it out on my fiances new 2023 and no dealer ive called seems to have a clue. 10mm x 1.00 banjo bolts seem to be what is on it but I havent actually taken them off to check yet.

    • @aztriumphster
      @aztriumphster  2 місяці тому

      Yes, I used a goodridge Universal line with a straight banjo coming off the ABS module

      Got the bars on I think I got the clutch placement
      I’m trying to add the brake line I got from Dean speed but can’t seem to find where it connects too

    • @aztriumphster
      @aztriumphster  5 місяців тому +1

      @alejandrocorona3966 you will need to gain access to the ABS junction block which is just in front of the air box. Remove the components above the junction block so you can remove the factory line that runs from the block to the master cylinder and replace it with the aftermarket line.

    • @alejandrocorona3966
      @alejandrocorona3966 5 місяців тому +1

      Also do I need to take it to the dealer for the abs?

    • @aztriumphster
      @aztriumphster  5 місяців тому +1

      @@alejandrocorona3966 no. Since the only air you are introducing into the system is in the brake line above the junction block, it doesn't affect the functionality of the ABS.
