I was so moved by this movie, I watched it 3 times in one day. I truly love a good redemption story and one where it builds. It’s a short movie but manages to convey what orphans go through after losing their parents and drop off the map even in their hometowns. Davey's eventual buildup to his redemption and Whitey finally get the recognition he's always deserved are accompanied by excellent songs and beautiful animation. It all ends with a satisfying feeling.
This song and the end scene at the mall are my fave parts. I just got to see the whole movie the other night -- and OMGosh, the very end moved me so deeply, I was crying. I don't really care for Whitey or Davey, but I'm still happy for both at the end. I need to remember to keep some tissues handy, when I watch movies with heart-string-pulling endings ... ... in this scene, Jennifer sings like an angel. I personally believe the theory that jack and Jill was only made to be made as fast as possible to make some money and give some time to Katie holmes so she could divorce Tom cruise since she was not in a good situation there and the church of Scientology coulda easily made her life hell
@@Abysalss I never knew that theory was a thing.
Every actor in history has some bad films they were in. Even the ones we love.
2:27 not gonna lie beautiful voice. Love it
Thats Adam Sandlers wife!
@ nice
That voice is gorgeous
3:09
Adam got some great notes right there
Dude. Jennifer has such a pretty voice😱
She does have a great voice.
Joe Snyder that's the voice of singer Alison Krause
Joe Snyder Gabe mentioned it before I did but yes that is the amazing Alison Krause
That’s Adam Sandler’s Wife
Got that Disney voice
2:51 I like to imagine he was in the restroom the entire time and saw everyone was singing so he just winged it
I wonder if that guy ever wiped his ass with the wrong hand!
He admitted it ;')
...yes
Adam Sandler just had to slide that in.
PessimiztcBurger Slide that in just like that hook when he wiped his ass with the wrong hand.
that,s a hilarious comment i like it.
I love the scene, “We should all rot in hell”, great point of the song
Everyone: “ha look at this fool trying to convince us we were wrong!”
Literally Everyone 3 minutes later:”BUM BIDDY BIDDY BIDDY BUM BUM BUM BIDDY BIDDY BIDDY BUM!!!!!”
AT 2 SPEED IT TURNS INTO A WESTERN SONG!
bioex overlord Lol!!! Yup.
😂🤣😂🤣
Lmfao nice!
Omfg I love it
Wtf .. you're right
I like this song. They all finally realize he's a really good guy and they all feel like a-holes for how they mistreated him and they realize he's better them.
God i love having the tradition of watching this every christmas eve with my husband 😂
I know Adam Sandler isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I like him, and this movie. And, he has a really good singing voice.
the sad part of the movie made me cry
Lalrin Pui same I liked this so much that I had to watch it like 4 times in a day! :)
yeah. Davie might have been a criminal, but it was brought on by a childhood tragedy. Towns people where just as bad as him.
Too much toilet humor (WAY too much), but not that bad, the movie.
Nostalgia critic destroyed this movie but this is an emotional part. And the only part that made me feel something.
@@Jarod-vg9wq Yeah, although the song "Long Ago" made me feel something too.
This is one of the most infectiously likeable bad movies I've ever seen. It's pretty terrible on every front, but it does have its moments from time to time. 3/10, I loved it.
Always seen this movie as the Shark tale of adult animation.
It's pretty awful, but it's also extremely entertaining for that reason
at the end there, except for the guy doing the russian dance kick thing. all of their faces suggested "kill us now, we're not in control of our bodies" all this points to one thing.. Davey stone IS The Music Meister!
He's jewish
Some times I like to do the bum bitty thing with my dog.
Tacodog 76 lmao
dude me too. pretty sure my dog thinks it's his name lol
Tacodog 76 good for you I probably would have done the same with my dog but she's too small she's a chihuahua and fast so she will be able to move XD
lol :D
Whoa there
3:15 Pain.
The prom one was heart breaking
I did the same thing to my ex back in high school
@@thekiller7994 you’re pathetic
@@thekiller7994Jason, what the hell?!
I cried at the prom one I feel bad for whitey
The fact that his mother laughed at him made me pissed
I never knew Adam Sandler had such a nice singing voice
My last brain cell during a test:
2:51 - 3:08
nobody:
literally noone:
Adam Sandler at 3:09:
This is an awful joke
Honestly I’ve been thinking about the same question lol
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The animation is good
One of my favorite styles in animation
It's the same people who made iron giant
In style of Walt Disney meets Warner Bros meets The Iron Giant
I know right i showed this movie to my cousin and he said it looked weird even tho it has good humour, voice acting and the animation is smooth
That's because majority of the staff worked on the Iron Giant before they were all fired by Warner Brothers.
3:08
The way he just changed the topic just to ask that question STILL SINGING
Oh so this is the kind of thing you watch as a child and then you think it was a dream until you’re in your mid 20s and stumble upon it again
Any one here in 2024 after seeing all the tiktoks?
Me 😂
Me too 😂
Saw it on instagram, but the concept's the same hahahah
Has anyone actually WATCHED this film? I saw it as a kid, but back then I was too young to understand
@@arthurgermano3521 I never watch it
Me too
2:50 for anyone just here for this moment
Actually it's 2:51
0:11 The MVP of the entire segment. Thank you Dramatic Guitar man.
Everyone seeing their friends who are in happy relationship while you have been single for years and they always ask you for advice and somehow you know what needs to be said to help their relationship thrive and somehow YOU ARE STILL single...
" ITS JUST NOT FAAAAAAAAAAAIIR"
2:33 This part always gave me chills, from when I was a child to now. This movie had no right to go this hard.
The greatest cinematic moment ever. 2:51
Yes
Agreed
Anyone else reminded of Fiddler on the Roof because of this song? “If I were a rich man bom bom bitty bitty bom”.
I think because of its inspiration for Jewish culture.
I was listening to the songs after so many years. And just realizing the some of the lyrics to the song....i can't tell whether I'm horrified that I understand all the jokes and lyrics or mortified to thinking what would have happened if we had realized this when we were kids.
Does anyone else mainly listen to this just to get to 2:43 when the girl, her son,and Adam sandler sang(its been so long since I watched this movie i forgot their names)
Jennifer (who is voiced by Jackie Sandler) and her son is Ben.
3:09 *MY BROTHER WONT STOP SAYING THIS PART IM GOING INSANE*
You gave me an excellent idea to annoy my sisters
2:27 Just A Amazing Singing Voice Just Really Amazing
This is one of Adam's best films and it's criminally underrated.
This song just... It just hits. I don't know why, but it does.
Everyone: *crying at the funeral*
Me entering: 2:51
OMFG dude 💀💀
💀💀💀💀💀
If that was my funeral, I would climb out of the coffin.
I'll admit not all of the humor in this movie works for me, especially the portapotty ride. But my gosh does it stick its landing in regards to the ending. Davey's eventual buildup to his redemption and Whitey finally get the recognition he's always deserved are accompanied by excellent songs and beautiful animation. It all ends with a satisfying feeling.
This song and the end scene at the mall are my fave parts. I just got to see the whole movie the other night -- and OMGosh,
the very end moved me so deeply, I was crying. I don't really care for Whitey or Davey, but I'm still happy for both at the end.
I need to remember to keep some tissues handy, when I watch movies with heart-string-pulling endings ...
... in this scene, Jennifer sings like an angel. I love where her part starts. ^_^
Only she got something just slightly off. This was NOT the first time Whitey needed everyone. Not if he has been coming to
this thing every Christmas for years ...
0:48 Beautiful Melody
2:48 pretty sure this one is what you're looking for
1:55 Stan Lee cameo
HE'S EVERYWHERE
Wha?--Woah--Di--WHAT?????
He is the watcher.
Kevin Healey DAMNIT STAN LEEEEEEEEE
Kevin Healey 2:22 TWO STAN LEE'S
I have never once seen this movie. I have no idea what it’s about. I stumbled on this video two days ago and now have watched the “bum biddy bum” section ten times. It’s stuck in my head. I can’t escape it.
Exactly!
3:00
Are we really going to ignore Rob Schneider's beautiful harmonic echo?
I actually like that part.
@@marthagilbert3459 Me too even if stereotypes are quite cringe to go through in happy Madison films
He's part Filipino so he feels he can play those roles
@@Madseason6x9 I get your point, but he does kind of take it far in playing other roles based on people of a different ethnicity just saying.
@@danielgudinojuarez6729 your being cringe
What is this. Everything about this seems like a fever dream
Adam sandler humor will always be top tier because no one else has it like him. Sad to know one day he'll be gone
2018 anyone? Come on I can't be the only one
Edit: Oh yeah 2019 now guys!
