I was so moved by this movie, I watched it 3 times in one day. I truly love a good redemption story and one where it builds. It’s a short movie but manages to convey what orphans go through after losing their parents and drop off the map even in their hometowns. It makes you realize that you don’t even really like Davey but you want the best for him because he is a PERSON. Then he redeemed himself by not making the situation about himself but about a best friend who he himself wronged and then calling his community out for not showing this sweet man the validation he deserves. Well, he was Opera Man before he started making weak, annoying comedy movies. 8 Crazy Nights is an uneven movie. There's some cringe in it, some shit really falls flat or feels forced, but there's some stuff that feels distinct, funny and well done. As movies go it's in the middle, as Happy Madison movies go, it's at the top. The animation is strong. A lot of the people who worked on it were let go after The Iron Giant tanked. The Iron Giant was a critical success and it's charming as all get-out (90%/96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, 8 stars on IMDB) , but Warner Brothers Feature Animation lost about 35 million dollars on the domestic tickets and just barely broke even in worldwide sales.
This is so typical. There was a lady in a complex I used to live in. I never grasped why others made fun of her. She always had treats for the kids. Took people to the store. Even ran errands for them. She'd come over to my place and ask if I needed help preparing meals for my kids and the other kids that stopped by throughout the day. When she fell and got hurt people acted like I was a freak for cooking and cleaning for her. It was weird. I watched this for the first time a few years ago and was like I bet that's how Mrs. Yetta felt. And called her to see how she was after not thinking of her for 9 and a half years. I felt like garbage.
Propel are always afraid of being treated like a sucker or being taken advantage off. So when someone with balls like that kind old lady WILLINGLY lets herself be helpful, other people see it as crazy or as that she is too innocent to see she is being taken advantage off. It’s a double punch, it makes them feel like the lady is less than for being dumb, and makes them feel defensive because she is doing something good and they are not and every time she does something good it makes them look bad.

Fun fact I never realized, Adam Sandler for all the crappy movies he's in is actually an amazing actor. He's also a multitalented able to actually sing and play guitar and is also probably one of the most wholesome guys in all of Hollywood. It's what he's known for besides acting. ☺
Nicholas Gieschen I know right
Hednna Bastian it might be a horrible movie but it has great animation ☺
It's auto tune.
“My life was simply going nowhere.” *Sings with a beautiful voice*
I love how theres no context for the “bum bitty bitty bum bum” part, they just happen into it, i love it
Seeing Eight Crazy Nights feels like having Eight Crazy Fever Dreams after Eight Crazy Years
I actually did this dance with my siblings when I was a kid. 😂
Omg yesss
Your not alone on that one 😂
Same!
I tried to nail that dance move lol
Bro, same
I remember watching this when i was a kid lol I finally understand the jokes

And everybody clapped.

My Area 51 alien learning to dance
When the Area 51 guards, hear the ominous sound of 2 million people singing Bum Biddy. Lmao
Did she respond
Propel are always afraid of being treated like a sucker or being taken advantage off. So when someone with balls like that kind old lady WILLINGLY lets herself be helpful, other people see it as crazy or as that she is too innocent to see she is being taken advantage off. It’s a double punch, it makes them feel like the lady is less than for being dumb, and makes them feel defensive because she is doing something good and they are not and every time she does something good it makes them look bad.
Its jusssst nottt faaa aaaaiiiirrr 😭
This song popped into my head out of nowhere earlier today. It’s been at least six years since I’ve listened to anything from this movie 🤷♀️
Same thing happened to me. Hopefully you rewatched the movie, it's hysterical and moving just like this clip.
Same boat!
That’s a technical foul
"Sounds like you were all on crack"
*cuts to the guy in the corner*
LMAOOOOO
That was the hobo's activation Word
2:27 is my favorite part her voice is pretty
That's Allison Kraus, a country singer.
Especially Ben
Nobody is talking about 3:09
That high note was CRISP
@@PrinceOctober3579 is that a Steven Spielberg cameo ?
LMAO
Cause it's not Instagram for such conversation
Cause it's lame and not funny
2:27 not gonna lie beautiful voice. Love it
Thats Adam Sandlers wife!
@ nice
That voice is gorgeous
@@albertopopovici845it was Allison krauss, she makes actual music too outside of movies, one of my personal favorites was her work with Brad paisley on whiskey lullaby
SAME!😭

“Sound like to me that you all on crack!”
*“Huh?”*
I honestly will never understand why people say this is one of the worst movies ever made. Sure Davey is a jackass but he defiantly redeems himself here
This is definitely not one of the worst movies of all time. That title would probably go to a movie like Super Mario Bros or Avatar The Last Airbender live action movie not cartoon.
And honestly, I understand WHY he was such a jackass.
haylestormable gotta do it. Definately*
haylestormable I used to like it until nostalgia critic opened up my eyes lol
Princess FlufleButt i respect your opinion
I first heard this song and it honestly made me cry because I’ve been on both sides of the spectrum. I was the man who was used and has used people who selflessly helped me...after realizing the person I was becoming I started becoming a better person...I still make mistakes but I’m better than I was...
Watched this as a kid and loved it, now married and have kids. Recently this year found out my son has Autism, I always hummed the tune and it calms him down. I know play the song often for him along with singing the tune.
This isn’t really kids movie. Many reasons why ;>
@Flowers0603I know, he hasn’t seen it the tone is soothing lol😂
I love the scene, “We should all rot in hell”, great point of the song
3:09
Adam got some great notes right there
2:50 bom biddy bitty biddy bum
That started that trend

BOM BITTY BITTY BITTY BOM BOM 🗣️🔥
Everyone worth their salt doesn’t need this
This song has been appearing in my shorts for the past month, now I have to admit I want to watch it
Fun fact I never realized, Adam Sandler for all the crappy movies he's in is actually an amazing actor.
Like watch uncut gems, he himself has even admitted he will sometimes do random roles in stupid movies just either a for a paycheck or B just to go on vacation.
He's also a multitalented able to actually sing and play guitar and is also probably one of the most wholesome guys in all of Hollywood.
It's hard to believe considering this is the same dude who starred in Jack and Jill
I personally believe the theory that jack and Jill was only made to be made as fast as possible to make some money and give some time to Katie holmes so she could divorce Tom cruise since she was not in a good situation there and the church of Scientology coulda easily made her life hell
@@Abysalss I never knew that theory was a thing.
Every actor in history has some bad films they were in. Even the ones we love.
Bom biddy biddy biddy bom bom 😂 I watched this movie so many times I still laugh at this movie like if it was my first time
all day dawg!

God i love having the tradition of watching this every christmas eve with my husband 😂
2:59 THE HARMONY WHEN THE SHIRTLESS GUY ENTERS THOUGH.👌✨
I love how in the beginning, he says so much so quick in a short amount of time
I have never once seen this movie. I have no idea what it’s about. I stumbled on this video two days ago and now have watched the “bum biddy bum” section ten times. It’s stuck in my head. I can’t escape it.
Exactly!
Same !
2:51 I like to imagine he was in the restroom the entire time and saw everyone was singing so he just winged it
Shirtless guy has the best vocals
I never knew Adam Sandler had such a nice singing voice
Everyone: “ha look at this fool trying to convince us we were wrong!”
Literally Everyone 3 minutes later:”BUM BIDDY BIDDY BIDDY BUM BUM BUM BIDDY BIDDY BIDDY BUM!!!!!”
I came to this video for context, and now I am even worse off.

I literally just watched this movie for the first time, and I gotta admit, my new favorite Christmas movie
I know Adam Sandler isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I like him, and this movie. And, he has a really good singing voice.

Yeah
Every frame in this animation is superb and so well done tho 💕
I like this song. They all finally realize he's a really good guy and they all feel like a-holes for how they mistreated him and they realize he's better them.
0:11 The MVP of the entire segment. Thank you Dramatic Guitar man.
The cop and shirtless guy’s harmony-top notch
Nobody realizes how much i loved this movie years ago the first time i watched it, and im so happy this song is getting recognition because it goes so HARD!!!! The play on biddy bum is so funny
the sad part of the movie made me cry
Lalrin Pui same I liked this so much that I had to watch it like 4 times in a day! :)
yeah. Davie might have been a criminal, but it was brought on by a childhood tragedy. Towns people where just as bad as him.
Too much toilet humor (WAY too much), but not that bad, the movie.
Nostalgia critic destroyed this movie but this is an emotional part. And the only part that made me feel something.
@@Jarod-vg9wq Yeah, although the song "Long Ago" made me feel something too.
AT 2 SPEED IT TURNS INTO A WESTERN SONG!
bioex overlord Lol!!! Yup.

Omfg I love it
Wtf .. you're right
I wonder if that guy ever wiped his ass with the wrong hand!
He admitted it ;')

Adam Sandler just had to slide that in.
PessimiztcBurger Slide that in just like that hook when he wiped his ass with the wrong hand.
that,s a hilarious comment i like it.

She does have a great voice.
