4:20 - In the unlikely event you didn't know this, a quick way to calculate your song's bpm by ear with your phone or smartwatch, is to time 1 full bar, let's say it was 8 seconds, then use this easy formula: 16 / 8 x 60. 16(counts in a full bar) / 8(secs timed) x 60(secs in minute) = 120 BPM. Accuracy depends on your count timing, of course. ♥Thanks for the POV vids. love em!
I’m learning a lot from Gabe, formed my own band and decided to make some local connections, got in touch with a drummer who shared the stage with I prevail, world is so small, never know who you’re gonna meet! Good vid man
I always love the humble attitude by introducing yourself and the band. As someone who has lived one state over and listened to you for 8 years, it’s surprising people don’t know you to me.
I have become obsessed with these videos!! You do such an awesome job showing the behind the scenes details and it is so cool to see! Love the POVs, keep them coming, please! ❤🥁
man i fucking love these videos, so awesome man, so happy your taking the time to do all these, especially all the parts where yall aren't playing, just cool to see a big bands lifestyle before and after a set
Dude that's my first time watching this channel and first time listening I Prevail, you guys rock!! I love those kind of videos because it encourages me and alot of people to chase our dreams. Keep it real!!
I'm a locksmith and just to explain a tip for that ignition issue in the beginning- put pressure more towards the column as you turn it. It works every time. It's some kind of electrical connection issue between the back of the ignition cylinder and housing for a lot of fords with that plain chrome face ignition style. Hope that helps and LOVE the videos!
Man I'm 42 and the last 3 years have fallen away from listening to music nothing has interested me and seemed like it went stale then some how this channel was suggested and now I'm hooked love love all the breaks in the songs even got the wife addicted...
4:02 that rick roll was brutal! 8:56 sorry, but this makes no sense 21:15 the encore song sounds sick! i didnt know about i prevail before! you really see this dude lives for the drums. love the video.
Sooner when you started to play your new songs, I can immediately feel it's church beats, I used to play at church for long time too, now I am in heard rock metal bands, sometimes it's very hard to adjust the style from church beats to heavy metal beats thanks for your videos, I have been subscribed for about 3 years now, it's really good to see how your drumming life progresses. Keep up and God bless
Dude I love these POV videos. You are giving me the biggest inspiration to play drums more. I learned a little bit on an electric kit but I'm currently trying to save up to get an acoustic kit. I let a kid from my church borrow my electric kit so he can learn how to play. Now my little studio feels so empty without drums in there.
This has motivated me to get back into drumming! Thank you Gabe Understanding working job in and job out and wanting to make it as a musician is my dream but understanding where/how you got there is a humbling moment
I honestly love these videos Gabe! I'm a busy nurse but I love watching these in between my tiny breaks in 5-minute increments lol. These totally make my day. You seem like such an awesome dude! Also, I'm a part of the DBO community! Amazing site and business you built! So well organized and constructed! I'm only a couple weeks in but loving it!
This is so genius. I just knew Blank Space by y’all but I’ve watched three of these POV videos and so I went and checked y’all out. New fan gained. Keep it up!
Some of the best content on UA-cam. I listened to a few iPrevail songs before seeing these POV videos and honestly seeing you guys as a group got me much more into your music. Seriously though keep doing these. I bet it's hard to fit in editing all this ontop of lessons and being in a band. But it's great stuff to watch!
Im not a drummer, i actually dont think i have rythm at all. But ive listened to I Prevail for some years now. I really love these videos. Keep up the good work, and give us even more awesome music. Greetings from Norway!
So glad to see a POV of Closure it is one of my favourite song and been waiting for the POV since the song came out. It has help me through a very hard time in my life at the end of 2023
3.5k likes and 0 dislikes, honestly i have never seen it done before that is awesome. keep it up, it is hard to hate this kind of content and it is new. awesome.
Your videos are so nice to just unwind from a busy day. Love to see what is going on in a band behind the scenes! And to answer your question, I think everyone would love to see piano pov videos too! Keep these videos coming! Also, did Jon get his $1000?
Me too!! I stumbled upon on of these POVs on my recommendations, and I was like "huh t hey seem cool and I love the drummer pov" and I started listening to them :D
As someone who grew up leading worship and playing drums at church I love watching these videos. It’s taken over twenty years but I’m still chasing after the dream.. maybe one day lol
I’ve seen that starting issue with a lot of fords/mercurys and the such. It is the ignition switch going bad. Not to be confused with the lock cylinder(where your key is inserted). The switch is the black plastic electrical piece behind it.
just wanted to say i love your vids gabe. i'm not even a drummer. but i love watching you being on tour with the guys. i am working hard to be a touring musician/artist too. hope it works out. at the moment i try to get on support tours or slots cause as an unknown artist it is really hard to play a lot shows here in austria or internationally then of course too. but anyways. thanks for the vids. really enjoy them
I am not a drummer but I have loved drums and the sound since I was a kid. When I listen to music, I listen for the drums. Something about them and rocking out makes me happy. Wish I learned them growing up.
Yeah dude these kind of vids are sickk...its crazy because i have lived in Mi my whole life which makes me want to see you guys succeed even more bro!!!! I have been drumming for like 13 years so seeing what playing on the highest level looks like from a drummers perspective is really cool. Rock on brotha!!
I always wanted to be a pro drummer when I was a kid. played at churched and everything but did not have a chance to have a proper training. getting old now and jobless. I guess it's too late for me. but watching your videos is like living the dream.
Its lovely to see that we are all Humans and we all make mistakes. Even if train your whole life for something you will always make mistakes. The difference is just if we learn from it ! Awesome job !
Bro...all I have to say...thank you guys so much for an awesome set to workout too. Found you guys on Spotify with the Blank Space cover and I've been hooked. Keep grinding.
I love watching these POVs They’re so interesting and information to watch as a beginner drummer. (Also love Iprevails music so it’s great to watch the drum parts” 🤘🏻
I have been a massive fan of the band since I first heard the Taylor Swift cover, and never stopped listening. Love seeing these POVs man. You're so freaking humble and inspiring. Thank you for being you. Keep rocking on brother.
there's pros to it though... A quick way to calculate your song's bpm by ear with your phone or smartwatch, is to time 1 full bar, let's say it was 8 seconds, then use this easy formula: 16 / 8 x 60. 16(counts in a full bar) / 8(secs timed) x 60(secs in minute) = 120 BPM.
Lived by Gramercy Theatre in the 80s when it was still a movie theatre. Went there two days after you to see Caligula's Horse. Hope you have fun touring with Halestorm, might check that show out.
Closure was immidiately my favourite on the album, I was so sad when I saw you guys live and you didnt play it. At least I know why now and saw the best part (the drumms) of it
13:07 the entire interaction sounds like a kid and a tired dads who just got home from work and now is trying to get the kids ready to go out for dinner.
Man I loved I prevail since I listened Bow down...then I discovered your channel but what shocking was to know you were theri drummer 🤯 love your videos ❤
I like to see the pov for the shows. The time you guys came to Quebec with Godsmack. I got the tickets for I prevail, and got really sick that weekend...so I had to sell it last minute and hoping to get the chance again to see you live around here.

Hearing cymbal builds like that takes me back to when I played worship sets at my hometown church

Great video and very cool to get a behind the scenes view into a pro drummers world. The piano pov would be cool to see also. Bow down is pure fire 🔥

Really love these long form POV videos! Looking forward to seeing you at an I Prevail show this summer!
I’m seeing them the 2nd time with Halestorm, Hollywood Undead and Fit For A King in August!
of course the drummer forgets the BPM
Knowing that stuff is useless I just play. Knowing music theory takes the fun out of music
@@SockiSkateboards honestly I agree
@@SockiSkateboardsI think the same
there's pros to it though...

That first tom groove had me thinking that y’all were playing a worship song. 😂
This just confirms that Church Drummers are the best. We've been trained to read the room and lead the room with our instruments. Well done, sir!
