hiii. rita here, the vocalist. the first iteration of the track was "Stamina (club edit)" I wrote and composed that track in 2023. I write all of my own lyrics, and share composing and production roles with my bandmates. On tour we interpreted that studio track as a live track, went home and recorded it, and made the live version the title track. we are about to release an album, and "Bet You Do." and "Stamina" are the two singles, with one more about to be released very soon, with the full album dropping next year. The album has a lot more substance and depth than "stamina", which is a very self aware campy banger. I called it my "deep fried Twinkie". self referential and doubling down on a horny party vibe. its fun! and when it plays at shows you can barely hear my voice cuz everyones screaming along. a little blurb about the lyrics: "in a world that wants to fuck you so hard you cry, fuck back". these lyrics are empowering to me because it allows me to take control of the narrative - that im in control, that im not the one getting used. the aggressive, emasculating nature of the lyrics resonate with everybody - gay straight lesbian. funnily enough, this track has really become a lesbian anthem. and we are from Chicago! we are super inspired by French electronica, Chicago house, Detroit techno, trip hop, dark wave, 80's synth wave, 90's industrial, 00's indiesleaze, etc. we're very genre agnostic, and that will really shine thru on the LP. hope you stick around to get the full PG experience, and definitely come out to a show sometime. we put on one hell of a performance. thank you for the review!
oh sick hi what's up lol i hope i didn't say anything too out of pocket. i don't remember if i said anything about dana dentata the first time around but i do definitely get those vibes which i enjoy. the stance of this channel is that i support women taking charge of their sexuality. i'll definitely make the effort to get out if you guys come to denver or thereabouts, i definitely think the live experience gives you a better picture anyway
@@misterenergy you mean visually? yeah we both have mullets and are femme lol. I wouldn't say the music is in the same world. people usually lump us in with boy harsher, tr/st, sextile etc.
